Hi, can I ask you to explain why you undid my edits to the plot and characters sections of The Shannara Chronicles? The character links are misleading, because they all redirect to the page The Elfstones of Shannara. And I don't believe I changed the meaning of the plot summary at all, I just rewrote it so that it sounded better and conveyed the same information more clearly for a reader who didn't know anything about the series. —2macia22 (talk) 02:28, 19 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Revert-warring[edit]

Instead of revert-warring, which can only end badly, as Alex has discovered,[1] please respect WP:BRD and WP:STATUSQUO. --AussieLegend () 18:29, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@AussieLegend: Please assume good faith, I'm not trying to edit war but am rather trying to reach a consensus, much like you — Artmanha (talk) 20:34, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just trying to give you some friendly advice. Good intentions don't stop some policies being rigidly applied, as you can see by the link I provided. --AussieLegend () 03:44, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@AussieLegend: Of course. But please take notice that simply because someone reverted you once, that does not qualify it as edit war, regardless of you being right or not. Thank you anyway — Artmanha (talk) 12:09, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Shannara Chronicles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Variety. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

House of Cards episode table widths[edit]

Just an FYI in case you didn't see it, I agree with you regarding House of Cards episode table widths and commented on LLArrow's talk page about this issue,[2] but apparently he didn't like what I said so he deleted the post and attacked me on my talk page.[3] Another editor also asked a question,[4] and got the same treatment. I took exception to LLArrows claim that Column widths are encouraged to be differentiated season to season as to create a more fluid juxtaposition, which is one of the biggest loads of rubbish I've seen in a long time, but he has refused to answer the question. --AussieLegend () 06:13, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just gonna breeze right over this, because it's completely irrelevant at this point. Drop it. Move on. LLArrow (talk) 06:48, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If you actually meant that, you wouldn't have posted here. --AussieLegend () 07:06, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@AussieLegend: I am fully aware of such occurrences. Nevertheless, thank you so much for the heads up! — Artmanha (talk) 11:54, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You're more than welcome. --AussieLegend () 11:59, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Episode tables[edit]

Why the minor re-sizing on dozens of episode tables? Not that it's bad or anything, I'm just curious to the reason behind changing table widths that have been perfectly fine up until now. Alex|The|Whovian? 21:22, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@AlexTheWhovian: I'm actually glad you asked, and I've been meaning to ask you this. I've recently been experiencing some weird "misfuntion" of the episode tables which have the parameters for |overall= and |season= with a width of less than 6%. They seem to not fit the table properly and are somehow stretching. I was wondering if that was happening only to me and thought it might be something temporarily or even something to do with my computer or the screen resolution, but I checked other computers and though some of it did not experienced that, some did too, so I started changing the ones that didn't have a significant change in the columns. While with pages like List of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes I let it for someone else who might be experiencing the same issue to fix it. Thanks for checking on me anyway. — Artmanha (talk) 21:53, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Gravity Falls season 1 two-parter[edit]

For some reason I didn't notice this revert earlier. Of course they are not part of the episode's title, that's why I used |RTitle=. The notes seem a bit redundant to me because "season finale" is obvious and two-parter can be expressed with a parenthetical note which is pretty common, but if you really want, it can stay that way. nyuszika7h (talk) 13:13, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Britney Spears Videography[edit]

The videos should be listed chronologically.

a. What's Going On was released AFTER I'm a Slave 4 U.

b. Those three "Britney" videos were released chronologically in this order: 1. Overprotected, 2. I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman, 3. The Darkchild Remix.

c. When Your Eyes Say it doesn't exist. I contacted the directors myself.

Please stop messing up with the order. Thanks. 201.13.50.80 (talk) 23:18, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia does not work that way. Please provide a reliable source that confirms what you are saying and do not revert my edits once again, otherwise you'll violate the WP:3RR rule and face a potential block. Thanks — Artmanha (talk) 23:24, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've got something to tell you: "What's Going On" is not a Britney Spears video: it's an All Star Tribute with dozens of artists; if you put it in Britney Spears Videography you should put it in the videographies of ALL the artists appearing in it. If really you want mention it just put it before, so it doesn't separate I'm A Slave 4 U from the other "Britney" album music videos. "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" is a 2001 video: in USA debuted in December 2001, and it was directed in August 2001, even before of I'm A Slave 4 U that was directed in the first two days of September. Same things for Toxic and Do Somethin': they both were directed in December, so their years are 2003 and 2004, not 2004 and 2005! And more: there is no need writing Original and International or Director's cut versions at Piece Of Me and 3; if you put it at these you must write the same also at Sometimes! Also I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman there's no need writing Original and Crossroads Versions! I agree with you that When Your Eyes Say It doesn't exist, and also Anticipating is not a real music video, I think it's another person who wanted add them in the Videography but it would be better removing them from there, and the same What's Going On. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marco Gerola (talkcontribs) 19:47, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Marco Gerola: all I see you writing is "things should be this way and should not be that way because I'm saying so". Wikipedia does not work that way, every information must be sourced. Please notice that you shouldn't keep reverting my edits otherwise you start a edit war and face a potential block on your account. I'm reverting your edits once again, and unless you provide a reliable source that confirms what you are stating, it ought to keep that way. Thanks — Artmanha (talk) 21:46, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

All of the sources cited on the file page are unreliable. You also keep mentioning "Drake's official Twitter" which (1) is not even cited, and (2) the song was released by Justin Bieber's label, not Drake's. The cover is clearly unofficial. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:15, 2 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Homesick"[edit]

Please do not go onto articles and edit war to retain your POV. As far as I can tell, the three sources on Homesick (Dua Lipa song) are reliable (Ultratop and MegaCharts are the providers of Belgian and Dutch chart data, respectively, and the other ref is a legit radio station in the region) and prove that it was released as a single in the Netherlands and Belgium. Regardless, the three articles you removed said content from a week ago were stable regarding this information until you removed it, so if you wish to change it, raise it on the talk page per WP:BRD (as you were reverted, and have been again because you edit warred to retain your changes) and WP:CONSENSUS. If you still feel it is the case, raise it on the talk page that you think said sources are unreliable. Thinking sources are unreliable is not an excuse to edit war, even if an IP reverted you in the first place. Thank you. Ss112 02:43, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please do not move articles to incorrect namespaces that use ampersands between artists' names if they are not a collective (per WP:AMPERSAND) as you did with Right Now (Nick Jonas & Robin Schulz song). Request a move at WP:RM/TR if there is a namespace preventing said move. Thank you. Ss112 02:48, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ss112: Regarding Dua Lipa’s article, you are wrong about the accusation of edit warring, since as per WP:STATUSQUO until there is a WP:CONSENSUS, the changes should have remained as they were before (without the Homesick added as a single, which it isn’t). Plus, you should consider reading WP:SINGLE so you can see that a song which receives radio airplay isn’t necessarily a single. That is the case where Homesick was added to international radio stations, but there’s no mention about it being an actual single. Please be careful before you accuse someone here, so you don’t break the Wikipedia policy of WP:CIVIL. Thank you.
About the Right Now article, I only put the ampersand sign because I could not use the word ‘’and’’. I’d more than grateful if you could proceed that change, since you are a very much more experienced Wikipedian than I am. Thanks again – Artmanha (talk) 04:11, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Er, no, WP:STATUSQUO does not apply to my edits—if anything, it applies to you because you made a good-faith edit a week ago that was reverted by an IP editor (an unregistered editor undoing your edit still counts as a revert), which you then reinstated, which it explicitly states one should not do—"leave the status quo up". The "status quo" was the page including "Homesick" as a single, as it had been the way it had been for months. By no definition is a week a long enough period of time to establish a "status quo". WP:CONSENSUS does not concern removing material until there is consensus to include it, it's about getting consensus to make changes to an article—that includes if you have a concern with what's there. It's not "leave it out if somebody disagrees", that is just the way some editors feel it should be done. Oh, and thanks for the links, but I have read them all before, and WP:SINGLE is not a policy, it's a recommendation made by the Songs WikiProject, which no editor or article is obliged to follow. I'm not "accusing" you, I'm saying please don't go back to edit war because it appears you already somewhat did a week ago. Thank you. Ss112 04:29, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ss112: The IP user made a bold move that has been reverted so, in accordance with WP:BRD, it's now up to it to establish consensus to move the section and, while it's under discussion the status quo reigns per WP:STATUSQUO. The fact that nobody noticed that it had edited for some time does not change that. Clearly, the article isn't being watched by other users at the moment, or the ones that are didn’t care about these edits. The reversion to the status quo occurred in the edits after the IP’s so WP:STATUSQUO still applies. Plus, the sources provided by the IP regarding the Homesick song only mention the radio airplay, nothing saying about it being a single. That being said, anything I say or argue you’ll refute just to say that you are right. And I don’t want to waste my time with that. Anyway, if you could help with the Right Now article, that would be nice of you. – Artmanha (talk) 04:42, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't actually know what you're talking about in the first few lines. Nobody moved a section. An IP user reverted you at three different Dua Lipa articles a week ago because you disputed that "Homesick" is a single. You then reverted them, which technically constitutes an edit war and therefore your claim to anything "status quo"-related is invalidated because that's exactly what WP:STATUSQUO says not to do. It states "Leave the status quo up" if your good-faith edit is undone—as I just told you, those articles had "Homesick" listed as a single for months before you disputed it. It being listed on those articles as a single was the status quo. No editor would think a week of nobody noticing or caring about your re-revert of the IP now constitutes a "status quo". That is not the way it works, I'm afraid. If your edits had stayed a month without being disputed, I might be inclined to agree that that's now a status quo. A week, no. I'm not going to continue to argue about it. As for the Nick Jonas article, I don't know how much more I can help you with. I requested a move to the correct namespace at WP:RM/TR, it just hasn't been performed yet. Ss112 04:54, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ss112: ...and my point has been proven. – Artmanha (talk) 04:58, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

NFR production[edit]

Hi! I completely understand your edits and the need for citations, but this leaves us with a bit of a dilemma.

On one hand, Track 4 does sound different between the physical and digital versions: the production is not the same.[1] The fact that two differently produced versions of the same song are on different releases of the album is one that (IMO) is notable enough for inclusion.

However on the other hand, there are no 'sources' that I can potentially cite that aren't from fan forums. I do not know how to get around this: if you listen to the CD or vinyl, and then the digital/streaming releases, you are listening to two different compositions. That is a fact. But it's difficult to provide citations in order to include this information on the page.

I was wondering what your thoughts are. :)

Listening to the link you sent, I feel like it's an early, unfinished version of the song, rather than an "alternative version", but again, that would my personal opinion and fall into the same original research area. — Artmanha (talk) 13:27, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Hdineibdij: I will eventually, but for now they are temporarily protected from editing, and only administrators are able to edit those articles. So, we'll have to wait — Artmanha (talk) 18:25, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Artmanha are you able to become an administrator since you have been a Wikipedia editor for so long? Hdineibdij (talk) 07:56, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hdineibdij: Unfortunately that's not how it works. We'll have to wait a few more days, im afraid. – Artmanha (talk) 05:45, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Help for upload poster promo of RPDR UK[edit]

Hi, I'm here to ask you a little favor.

I noticed that you created many promo posters of RuPaul's Drag Race US, and I was thinking why not do it with the UK version?

For now, on the page there is an image that I have created personally, but I am not very satisfied because it is very square. I tried to create a second version through the "File Upload Wizard", but I found that I am completely denied.

So I'm here to ask you, if by chance you could give me a hand by creating the promo poster of the UK edition.

If you want, I'll leave the link attached, to which the old file refers where there is a "poster" version ---> /20200529144323%21RuPauls-Drag-Race-UK-S1.jpeg

I thank you in advance, and I still hope for other future collaborations. :) -- --Dominikcapuan (talk) 05:20, 31 May 2020 (CEST)

Disambiguation link notification for April 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Waffle House (song), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages New York and Vanity Fair. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

University students are not music critics[edit]

Regarding your edit to Fruitcake (Sabrina Carpenter EP) here, university students are not music critics—we do not care about their opinion. Avoid citing student newspapers—you are essentially saying Wikipedia readers should care what some unexperienced college student thinks about music, which is a silly idea. Also, please stop restoring trivial stylisations—we standardise these per MOS:CAPS, which says nothing about the importance of making a parenthetical note about how a title is "stylised". These parenthetical notes should not be a common thing on pop music articles, and the note has been removed once already. Finally, there is a difference between Indiependent and The Independent newspaper. The former is not the well-known newspaper. Thanks. Ss112 20:28, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, please consider that Wikipedia welcomes everyone and you should not be rude to other users like you were in the previous text. Secondly, notice that saying something shouldn’t be on Wikipedia because “it’s trivial” is simply not applied to the stylization of the title. One could argue that EVERYTHING on Wikipedia is trivial since it’s not considered a reliable source itself (hence everyone can and is encouraged to edit Wikipedia). MOS:CAPS doesn’t saying anything about stylization of the title, you are the one interpreting it for your convenience. Also, please notice that articles for albums like Folklore (Taylor Swift album), Evermore (Taylor Swift album), Reputation (album), Thank U, Next all use the stylization as should Fruitcake and E-mails I Can’t Send. I’m reverting your edit, restoring the stylization as per WP:3RR, please do not revert back, use the talk page to discuss it. — Artmanha (talk) 21:01, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Artmanha. Please see WP:BRD When you add to an article and it is reverted, the next stop is the talk page. I encourage you to self revert and discuss on the talk page. Thank you for your contributions to the project. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 18:58, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ad Orientem: Hi! Thanks for being so polite, I really appreciate it. I can assure you that, unlike what the user Ss112 said, I have not "displayed a willingness to continue slow-motion edit warring over a trivial stylization note". I have been on Wikipedia for more than 10 years and have never engaged on edit warring nor do I intend to, they only stated so as to grab an Admin's attention to "validate" their point. Ss112 usually has a rather rude approach to users, and never seem to reason with or accept their edits, always arguing and enforcing their opinion. They simply feel the need to always have the last word and wear someone down every time. Honestly, it's rather discouraging to keep editing on Wikipedia when we face behavior such as theirs. Through the years, I have greatly contributed to the WP community and I always try to find some time to help improve content. Thank you for being nice and taking some time to talk to me. — Artmanha (talk) 22:56, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns about your Jonas Brothers GANs[edit]

I am only saying this to try and be polite and save you some trouble. It appears you're trying to go for your first good article. You have a great start to Happiness Begins, but as someone who has more than 30 albums at GA and two features, if I may make a suggestion, I don't think there is nearly enough breadth to the article's content and this should be significantly expanded before being brought to the GA table. I'm almost certain there is no way that this is enough coverage for a landmark pop album in 2019 - note I say almost because while I am not an authority on pop music (thus I'm not reviewing it right now), I am used to seeing much more comprehensive work even on much smaller releases. Surely there must be more recording and promotional details available?

Please, don't let my words discourage you from trying to go for it eventually. I'm not trying to be overly critical. I just don't want you to be particularly disappointed in the result if you proceed as it is now, and thought I'd give you a heads up. I don't like seeing first-timers get quick failed, and I feel like there's a lack of empathy from some of our reviewers toward newer nominators. The Album (Jonas Brothers album) is slightly better, but also could use some expansion. For what it's worth, they both are pretty well written in general and the sourcing choices are mostly good. dannymusiceditor oops 03:46, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
