Move request[edit]

I see you requested a move of your draft article about Stephen Farthing back in January. I just became aware of this option, and I fear it hasn't been populated as it should be.

I think your draft is ready, but I don't want to move it unless I know that you will be around following the move, in case someone asks questions or wants to challenge it. While no one owns articles, clearly the primary editor of a new article has more interest in making sure that questions are answered. Let me know if you want me to move it and I can, although you are now autoconfirmed, so you can move it yourself if you want.--SPhilbrickT 23:19, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Atlantic by Stephen Farthing.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, ArtLover2010. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Stephen Farthing, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:50, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Please don't add unreferenced personal detail about living people to any page here. We try to respect privacy where possible (there's a policy about that). Also, any source you add needs to actually support the content it's attached to. Michael Farthing's bio is – not surprisingly, really – about Michael Farthing. It does not mention his brother at all, and is certainly not an acceptable source for personal details of his family. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 12:00, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
