Archives[edit]

Ansett, it looks like you mistakenly created your 1st archive at Link created on the 1st move, which is a mainspace article. I've moved your new archive to User:Ansett/Archive 1. Please make sure further archives are in this format. (in your userspace) Cheers, Tangotango 13:41, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I am a little confused about all that - but I'll see how I go. Ansett 13:45, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When you move the talk page in the future, make sure the name of the new page is User:Ansett/Archive 2 (or 3 etc) that way it will be in the user space as a subpage of your main page. That help? Oh and sorry if I am coming accross as a bit cranky - I have an exam tomorrow so are stressed. Viridae 13:51, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page blanking[edit]

Please refrain from blanking pages - if you want to remove your comments from an AfD please use the strikethrough tags <s> </s>. Comments on AfDs are kept so as not do make other users comments ambiguous. You have been warned a number of time about page blanking, please stop. Thanks for your help. ViridaeTalk 13:16, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thats only happend one other time, the first time it was by accident! Ansett 13:44, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Sovereign Hill.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Sovereign Hill.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Circeus 16:15, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Fair use criteria, a policy, clearly states:
Always use a more free alternative if one is available.
We have a free image available, and thus the image you uploaded does not qualify for fair use, and will be deleted. Circeus 05:12, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I uploaded Sovereign_Hill.jpg because I did not think the image there before it (Sovereign_hill_window.jpg), was appropriate and did not meet image quality standards. Ansett 05:14, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I actually agree with you that the window one is terrible. There is a request for image page here: Wikipedia:Requested pictures. Maybe you could get someone to take or upload one for the article? ViridaeTalk 05:28, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thank you Viridae will do Ansett 05:09, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No probs. ViridaeTalk 05:33, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My Images[edit]

I am wanting to upload some images that I have taken, to add value to articles. Which image license gives most protection/control (over how its used) to the original creator, that includes "No Derivative Works" and that can be used on Wikipedia? Ansett 11:36, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ansett, there is no such license that is compatible with Wikipedia. Creative Commons does have a no-derivatives license, but the only CC licenses usable on Wikipedia are cc-by-sa (attribution/share alike) and cc-by (attribution). The other licenses are similarly non-restrictive, as they are meant to be on Wikipedia. Cheers, Tangotango 11:47, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ansett Australia[edit]

Why does Ansett talk page have this: "This article has not yet received a rating on the importance scale."

Is a "rating on the importance scale" important and how does the article get a rating? Ansett 08:45, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It looks as though the WikiProject rates articles on importance of some sort. It's on other Australia articles as well. I'd guess you would find more information on the Project page: Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia.--JD[don't talk|email] 08:48, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Local Government Areas of Melbourne[edit]

Most of the Council names are incorrect on the "Local Government Areas of Melbourne" template (eg. City of Banyule correct Banyule City Council) You can see the template at the bottom of Banyule City Council. Who can fix this? Ansett 09:23, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anybody can edit the template, which is located at {{LGAMelbourne}} -- Longhair 09:24, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/Assessment[edit]

Can you please tell me the correct text/code for quality scale and importance scale? As I am having problems with including quality scale and importance scale in the one template.

I am sorry, but I don't understand your request. Would you please eleaborate and put {{helpme}} back up —— Eagle (ask me for help) 03:25, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/Assessment Ansett

Is there something wrong with the Shopping Centre Template on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knox_Shopping_Centre ? Can some one please correct it? Its displaying things like {{{parking}}}???

No those things need to be added, but if you find that annoying ask about it {{Infobox shopping mall}}. Thanks. —— Eagle (ask me for help) 03:37, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
