Hi, Just had a quick read through of the Milford Haven and thought I should tell you that it currently has a citation needed template on it. Under the Good Article Quick Fail criteria this means that technically it could be failed without being reviewed, so you might want to fix that before it comes up for review. Milford Haven on hold[edit]

Hi Alvear. I've started the GA review of Milford Haven, and I've put it on hold for seven days to allow time for some work to be done. There is plenty of material in the article, and I don't see any huge problems with it, so I strongly feel that with the appropriate amount of work done on it we should get it through to GA status - it's mainly a case of cleaning it up really. Alvear, I've just turned the notable residents from a list form into prose; it's still not good enough as it now needs references. Any you can provide will be good. You have a strong reviewer in SilkTork, and the fact that he knows the area is a good bonus as it allows us to tighten things up and he won't ask silly questions. Ignore anything apart form the areas he states are failing, and focus on what he suggests. If you address these areas, then it will pass GA status. Anything you feel is out of control, give me a nod. Hi folks. I'm impressed with the work you are doing on Milford Haven. Don't despair that there is now quite a lot of comment on the talkpage, this frequently happens. It is useful when others also comment, as the more eyes the better. I am quite determined that the article will get through to GA status, and as long as people are working well together this is quite achievable within a week or two. I won't disrupt the flow of the GA review template with any more coments, and it would certainly be improper to interfere with the reviewer's prerogative, so I will just point out the following points here in case they can be of help to you:

How to present citations:'Each article should use the same method throughout. If an article already has citations, adopt the method in use or seek consensus before changing it.

In the case of Milford haven, there was no method in use until I attempted to introduce one, but it was made clear that it was not wanted. I won't now be making any further contributions to the article, so I hope therefore that the links above will nevertheless be of some use. Also, the exceptionlly high frequency of multiple use of <ref name="McKay"/> may raise the question why so much of the article has to be based on a source that can't be readily accessed for verification. I find stories that drive our annual fundraising efforts. It's important to convey the incredible diversity of people who've come to rely upon Wikipedia every day.

Stack Rock Fort[edit]

Your latest edit makes it sounds like the Fort was build in 1850-1852 as a result of the Royal Commission report, which is 1859. I think you are conflating the first and second forts on the site. The Victorian Forts datasheet describes the position best, would you like to clarify the article with information from there?

The edit did not use datasheets as its source - it was guided by the publication recently referenced - Pembrokeshire Military Forts by Phillips. I shall have to cross reference the two.

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge!
