I reverted your changes because there is no reason to use the old flag of Afghanistan in those cases, the current one should be used in general. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. Vpab15 (talk) 14:32, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Why is Wikipedia using the current Taliban white flag instead of old tricolor Afghan flag. The United Nations still recognize the Islamic Republic, and therefore they still continue to use the tricolor flag. Aldin 2023 (talk) 14:35, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

There is more info at Talk:Afghanistan, Under "Q2: The flag is wrong!" it says: Since the sole current government of Afghanistan is that of the Taliban, consensus in this RfC is to identify the current flag of Afghanistan as that of the Taliban. However it is better to also use the Islamic Republic tricolor Afghan flag in parallel to the Taliban flag. They are still unrecognized however. Therefore, the UN continues to recognize the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as the de jure government via embassy in New York. Aldin 2023 (talk) 14:42, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
