Writing about one's own company[edit]

It's great to be enthusiatic about something you know a lot about. However, we have a policy against "original research", meaning that Wikipedia articles should be an outgrowth of verifiable information and not insider information. Please try to find reliable sources for the information you wish to include in Wikipedia, or it may be deleted as unverifiable. Melchoir 09:08, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

another welcome[edit]

Adam, Welcome to Wikipedia! I spotted your edit over at Sigma Star Saga. (I wrote a large portion of the article after enjoying the game). I remembered seeing you around GameFAQs and wondered if I'd ever see you here. -- stillnotelf has a talk page 01:25, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:JLH games.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:JLH games.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:JLHGBA.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:JLHGBA.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Notability of Voldi Way[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Voldi Way, by Awadewit (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Voldi Way seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Voldi Way, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Voldi Way itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 05:03, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:34 example.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:34 example.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:14, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of WayForward Technologies[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article WayForward Technologies, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Gazimoff WriteRead 18:26, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Voldi Way has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of WP:notability. Bit part actor and businessman. Only reference is to imdb where he appears to have had 3 bit bits. No sources for business career. Google searches reveal nothing significant.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 19:36, 26 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Voldi Way for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Voldi Way is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Voldi Way until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. noq (talk) 12:44, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
