please avoid edit war[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Dari (Persian). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Dupree is very reliable source, plus the quoted words are in the original source Ibn Battuta's book[edit]

If you carefully check AISK.org, it is all Dupree's work (Louis and Nancy Dupree. They quoted words from the original source, which is Ibn Battuta's writings, the Morrocan man who visited Kabul at the time. Click on his name and read.--Charsada (talk) 22:55, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The 1333 quotation by Ibn Battuta I've added to Afghanistan is for the name Afghan only, it backs Al-Biruni's writings that there were people who called themselves Afghans in those times. It's not a claim of territory. Don't protend stupid if you're educated in the west, you suppose to easily understand. Kabul was a town occupied by different groups of people throughout history, so in 1333 there were a group of people who called themseves Afghans and had occupied town. In Babur's 1525 writings he tells us that Kabul was filled with multi-ethnic, and he also includes Afghans. Leavin the quotation helps people understand the history of the name Afghan, and don't worry about the Persians that he mentioned because he was most likely saying that they were Persian speaking Afghans.--Charsada (talk) 08:44, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
