Pirates

Hi,

I promise when I say I'm not trying to be cause "disruptive editing". I'm only trying to keep the truth true. As I written in my original edit summary:

Neither the film nor the cast and crew(including Gemma) say anything about Tamara being the mermaid queen; therefore, she is only a mermaid

I understand completely of Wikipedia's tendency to take only what news articles state. However, films are a source too; so the way they are set up matters as well. No official film material states that Tamara was a mermaid...they say "Gemma Ward portrayed a mermaid named Tamara", but not "Gemma Ward portrayed a mermaid queen named Tamara". No such thing was stated in the film's original script, books, etc state that she's a queen: not even the cast and crew, including Gemma Ward herself.

But back to what I took out stuff, even though one was sourced. As you can see in my edit, I took out all the "mermaid queen" nonsense because nothing related to that is stated inyour so-called source. The only thing that's stated is that Gemma Ward played a mermaid. That's it. Nothing else. Nothing saying "Oh, she's playing a queen!". So take that as a source that all of this mermaid queen business is just nonsense and gibberish made by the press.

I'm on the Pirates Wikia right now, and she wasn't Queen of the Mermaids nor was she an "antagonistic" mermaid. She was just one of them that searched for the Fountain of Youth. Luke Evans Edits

Can you please tell me what part of my edits constitutes vandalism? There is reason to restate as the final statement is false and misleading. Ending the article with a rumored relationship with a woman is an attempt to coverup his previous admission to being gay as a youthful indiscretion. In reality some woman claimed to be in a relationship with an openly gay mean, this constitutes a rumor not a truth and should be documented as such. Undesirable reverting of a correction on the "Satires (Juvenal)" page

Madam,

   I have very limited knowledge of the inner workings of Wikipedia, but since I have twice tried to correct a mistake only to see
it erased, and have been notified you are somehow connected with the matter, I felt compelled to contact you.  The mistake I caught
is in the "Satires (Juvenal)" page under the subheading "Satire III: There is no Room in Rome for a Roman".  Here, much of the
first line of the Latin text was left untranslated in the accompanying English translation.  The Latin is: "quid Romae faciam?
mentiri nescio;" I attempted to add "What could I do at Rome?  I don't know how to cheat;" as the first line of the English
translation and trouble ensued.  I hope you will be able to resolve this matter and improve the article.

Non-free images

This would be a good question for the Teahouse =) Regarding the image being used on that article page - for films, and certain types of article subjects, a non-free rationale can be used to display a copyrighted image on the article page. You can read the rationale for using that image here File:RukiaAnime.jpg. One downer is that it can *only* be used in that one space, no where else. Hence why it had to be removed from the Teahouse page :( But, there are plenty of lovely anime images on Commons, perhaps one of those will be able to be used for your Host profile. Abigail, Thanks for the response to my feedback. I feel that it is a lot of fun to use the Wiki markup alongside my previous web development knowledge. I also can't wait to see how the Wikipedia page turns out when I eventually finish and launch my social networking website (I've already made some Userboxes about it), because I really haven't given out much information about it, and it would be nice to see how others would judge the "Features" and other sections of the website. I'm not trying to advertise at all, I just can't wait to see how it turns out and when would you suggest that I start the Wikipedia page for it? Should I start it now and upload images for it so as to inform readers? Tea Talk Question!

Hi Abigail! Hope you're doing well :) Glad to see you drop in on the Teahouse to participate - made me happy to see! I'd love to ask your help with something, "Tea Talk"! A few days ago I asked a question for women editor's about what they are editing or have found inspiration on on Wikipedia. It was a great way for people to participate. I was wondering if you'd like to take a shot at the next question? The Tea Leaf - Issue One - Recent news from the Teahouse

Hi! Welcome to the first edition of The Tea Leaf, the official newsletter of the Teahouse!

Metrics are out from week one. Week one showed that the need for Teahouse hosts to invite new editors to the Teahouse is urgent for this pilot period. It also showed that emailing new users invitations is a powerful tool, with new editors responding more to emails than to talk page templates. We also learned that the customized database reports created for the Teahouse have the highest return rate of participation by invitees. Check out the metrics here and see how you can help with inviting in our Invitation Guide.
A refreshed "Your hosts" page encourages experienced Wikipedians to learn about the Teahouse and participate. With community input, the Teahouse has updated the Your hosts page which details the host roles within the Teahouse pilot and the importance that hosts play in providing a friendly, special experience not always found on other welcome/help spaces on Wikipedia. It also explains how Teahouse hosts are important regarding metrics reporting during this pilot. Are you an experienced editor who wants to help out? Take a look at the new page today and start learning about the hosts tasks and how you can participate!
Introduce yourself and meet new guests at the Teahouse. Take the time to welcome and get to know the latestguests at the Teahouse. New & experienced editors to Wikipedia can add a brief infobox about themselves and get to know one another with direct links to userpages. Teahouseness

Hi Abigail! As requested on the "Your hosts" page (and in the original application process), it'd be wonderful to have hosts participate in all areas that were originally. Two things I'd LOVE help with specifically:inviting people and when you are finished answering a question on the Teahouse page, it'd be awesome if you'd leave a Teahouse Talkback on theeditors page. These are all necessities during (and honestly, beyond) the pilot phase of this project, and is very important in us tracking metrics to judge the projects successes, or failures. You're not citing anything; everything you post must be verifiable, and we cannot rely on unsourced material. I also saw that you made a personal attack to Gogo Dodo. First, calm down, He was not insulting your intelligence, "challenging" you, or trying to revoke your rights of Free Speech. There are some policies Wikipedia has for citing material, that you do not have any knowledge of. You can always gather sources and attempt to reinsert your information with them, try doing that. No more attacks, control yourself.

Thanks for your reply, please note that there is twice a statements regarding the person whom I have dealt with, the wordings where it is said that " it is not your soapbox" I am damn serious and this person is telling me that I am using wikipedia for writing my soapbox? I have atleast 10-20 places where I do whatever I want.

Placing such comments are attacks on the editors, if you are not convinced that I was attacked, you can read the comment sitting in my place. You cannot understand the pain/insult till you suffer it.
