Welcome![edit]

Hello, Aaw1989, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page The Moody Blues did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need personal help ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  Binksternet (talk) 06:45, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Soft Machine members[edit]

I see you have made a lot of edits to the List of Soft Machine and spin-off band members page. None of these edits have summaries and you seem to have removed alot of information. Just asking for an explanation of your edits. 80s Sam (talk) 12:21, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was just trying to make the list of band members less confusing and messy, particularly with regards to session musicians, please feel free to change and/or add any information you feel is important. Aaw1989 (talk) 17:49, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What source are you using? Binksternet (talk) 22:59, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Out-Bloody-Rageous by Graham Bennett. Aaw1989 (talk) 23:41, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I realise that my initial message seems a bit negative. I think your edits are really good but it would be nice if you could add edit summaries and/or do like 5 large edits instead of 15 small ones. It makes the version history easier to read. 80s Sam (talk) 23:02, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you and you're right about summaries and edits, i'll take that on board. Aaw1989 (talk) 23:42, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

December 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to List of Journey band members does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Zinnober9 (talk) 08:02, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for reverting your recent experiment with the page King Crimson. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use your sandbox instead, as someone could see your edit before you revert it. Thank you. Stroness (talk) 19:21, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Aaw1989! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at King Crimson that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Stroness (talk) 21:23, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message, i'll be more aware in the future. Aaw1989 (talk) 23:02, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Yes (band), you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 06:26, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Deep Purple, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Among others, please review WP:PEACOCK - FlightTime (open channel) 02:09, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm L'Mainerque. I noticed that you recently removed content from List of Yes band members without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - L'Maynerque - ("May you [insert query here]?") - 23:52, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Frank Zappa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page You Can't Do That on Stage Anymore. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
