I just can't get through to user JB196. He continues to revert the article, reducing its quality claiming that he is not credited as "The Author" in the article itself. The issue is being brought up here [1] help would be greatly appreciated. -- bulletproof 3:16 03:13, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

What are you doing?

Why are you making all these bad faith AFD? Do you plan on going ahead and nominating every Super Bowl article, or FIFA World Cup article? Because they are the same way. TJ Spyke 00:05, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Those articles you've mentioned are more along the lines of championships than the pay-per-views. --Aaru Bui DII 00:08, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
They are no different than the WWE PPV's. 2002 FIFA World Cup for example, is a mess. TJ Spyke 00:10, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

WWE SmackDown move request

You mentioned on the talk page there that starting another vote would be an option. I agree, but I don't want to do it myself, as I don't want to create the perception that I would keep putting the vote up until it went my way. I do find the result odd, as I mentioned, considering the votes and rationales. If you'd like to make a second Requested Move and this time mention it in WP:PW, I'd certainly vote again. If you do this, perhaps you could leave me a note on my talk page so that I don't miss out on it. Croctotheface 08:28, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

SmackDown!

Why did you remove the exclamation points? It is part of the shows name, so this could be considered vandalism. TJ Spyke 09:48, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

RR 2007

I put them in the order they were shown. I recorded RAW, so I stopped the show and wrote them down (going left to right and starting with the top row). The top row (for example) was Viscera, Benoit, Benjamin, MVP, Nitro, Holly, Sandman, Sabu, RVD. TJ Spyke 01:16, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

I see. Did sort of recognised the order. WWE.com now shows them in alphabetical order by last name though. Sure you still want to keep your order? --Aaru Bui DII 01:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
It was agreed at WP:PW that we won't necessarily follow the order that WWE/TNA lists them (which is why the RR match is in the middle since it was announced second. It doesn't matter that much since the RR is about 2 weeks away anyways. TJ Spyke 01:54, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Manual of Style for trademarks

Hi, why did you remove your entry in the current discussion? It's not any less deserving to be read and considered by your fellow editors. I admit, the discussion got a little off-topic, due to another person with that "no no, keep everything the oFFiCiAL way!" attitude, but I'm trying to fix that right now. - Cyrus XIII 15:16, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

1968 Australian "Open"

Perhaps I should better explain why I removed the 1968 link from Template:Australian Open tournaments. The phrase "1968 Australian Open" is meaningless. No such tournament was ever held. The 1968 Australian Open article should be deleted, or at least renamed to 1968 Australian Championships. Eventually there will be a Template:Australian Championships link box and the 1968 tournament will go there. But it certainly doesn't belong amongst the Australian Opens. --dantheox 18:01, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Hi, I noticed you are a WWE fan, and I discovered this. http://pic4.piczo.com/wwe-ecw14/?g=37660647&cr=4. It says that Kane will VS Edge, and Khali will VS Batista at the Great American Bash. WWE.com has reported nothing of this. Have you, a fellow wwe fan heard anything? BobafettH23 03:50, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

TNA X-Division

Ok I know you just went through this with the TNA championship, and you were right about that one. But Jay Lethal is the champ with the shortest reign.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackpot Farrell (talkcontribs) 02:46, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

TNA X-Division Championship

I understand why you think that he held it for two days. Actually Joe won the title on the 20th, not the 21st because TNA tapes on Mondays not Tuesdays. This year the 21st of June fell on a Tuesday.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackpot Farrell (talkcontribs) 03:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

history of pro wrestling

Congrats! You've achieved a lot in your short dedication to the page. I appreciate your copy-editing and quick overhaul of a lot of unsourced and irrelevant info. I personally was guilty of some of it myself, and I really needed another fresh look at the article. The article still has lots to be done, and I would like your feedback:

  • The montreal screwjob is a big event, had huge repercussions in wrestling as far as the Monday Night Wars goes, but I think its importance is overrated. In my opinion, it was a large controversy and fans ate it up because it helped them understand backstage politics and support their feelings of McMahon. But I doubt it is that important to include in such detail--if someone wants to know about the screwjob specifically, fine, provide the link and leave a small single para to explain the event, but ensure a para for its consequences.
  • Black Saturday is an oddball for this article. It is Monday Night War history, and it is only considered interesting as a "Did you Know" trivial pursuit. To be honest, I don't feel it is very significant unless tied in through mention of the promotions' competition for TV time.--Screwball23 talk 19:43, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

the article

I noticed your edits are improving the language, but at a sacrifice to some info. The pic of Japanese geishas and Yokozuna need some explanation as to how that constitutes a change in wrestling history. Also, I have to point out that you removed all mentions of the AWA, which was a booming territory (during the 60s, i believe). What I also have to tell you is that I like the work you did with the more recent history, especially in making the Monday Night Wars portion concise. I am a strong believer in referencing work, so I'll approach this article slowly.

--Screwball23 talk 00:11, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

RE: message

i have to say, the hooker refs were a job. I read the book once, thought it might be interesting because he was an older, vintage wrestler, but to be honest, the info got repetitive. And adding him and his role to the article is even tougher because of all the minute details he adds, making it seem as if he was "the first, the best, etc". I'll add refs slowly, which I know is gonna be a pain on you if you wanna see this reach a higher class (if that is your main goal--is it?).

The pic is good, i'm not debating that. Any more pics you can add would be great (i know, just like any refs I can add would be good too).

history of us wrestling

The US wrestling and the history of pro wrestling were identical articles at one time. they were both text dumps with useless chronologies. Look thru US wrestling and you'll see there is nothing there that really captures any interest or shows great difference from the history article. I'll merge them, which i know is too provincial, but you have to remember, pro-wrestling, especially as we know it today, is very American. The WWE, although shrinking, is still an international giant, and even the indy scene has expanded to different nations. There is definitely a lot of Americana in wrestling (Hulk Hogan, the Rock, Stone Cold), cultural icons we identify with.

Most importantly, there is nothing spectacular on the us site, and if anything, I would say that in the unlikely event that someone adds major international wrestling info, in english, on the wikiepdia article, then the articles can be separated. I say merge. --Screwball23 talk 00:47, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

pics

hey, i'm not sure if you're interested, but if you go to the list of wrestling payperview events on wikipedia, you'll see plenty of photos in use already to capture prime wrestling moments (at least in the WWF in the 80s-90s) I'm not sure if any of them are going to make good material for the history article, but you can feel free to use them for other wreslting articles...I just enjoy seeing some images with articles, and I thought maybe you might like seeing them.--Screwball23 talk 02:37, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

wats up

hey man, whats up? I decided to clear my talk page too...it's actually a good idea. Are you interested in adding pics or going to the history article? I'm just wondering, because I've got some pic problems on another page, its actually political (see [Chuck Baron]). Don't feel burnt out about the history page tho, i noticed you had out a problem with some jerkoff who decided to add their 2 cents on the page. And don't worry, I added some more info already, and I'm going to get more soon. As always, thanks for the nonstop review on my article.--Screwball23 talk 21:52, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

TNA iMPACT

Would you mind watching this page? This IP seems insistant on keeping it their way despite the fact that I pointed out the news was several months old (and not unveiled in the October Game Informer) and he/she decided to capitalize every word in their sentences. I can't do anything else for now since i've already reverted it once. TJ Spyke 23:45, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

The History article

hey, thanks for the notices on the page...it seems to be the only serious attention the page has been getting in some time now. Unfortunately, I don't have a good supply of references, and to be honest, even with the references I did have, I always had a tendency to add too much to the page, reducing its readability. We need to attract interest to this page to get some more editing involved. See if you can link it to a few more wrestling articles, include it in See Also sections, and try to edit what you can...it's not easy and it won't be easy.

SS 07 poster

Would you mind helping me out? This other user insists on putting his unsource/no copyright image in rather than my sourced/copyright one (the one from In Demand). I am not 100% sure if I can do more than 1 revert in this situation. TJ Spyke 01:50, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

TNA iMPACT!

Just why the heck did you revert my edit? It's a RELIABLE and SOURCED info. Midway Games (more official than anybody else except TNA itself) said Raven will be in the game. Unless there is something to say he won't be in the game, he shouldn't be removed from the list. I hope you realize this since there is no legit reason to keep him off the list (unlike Monty Brown and Jeff Hardy, who haven't been in TNA for over a year). TJ Spyke 23:04, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Could you possibly clean-up In Your House 1: Premiere for me, as I have just moved it into the mainspace? Thanks! Davnel03 10:48, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
I'll get right on that. --Aaru Bui DII 10:51, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for shortening the background, much appreciated. Could you possibly also register your support or oppose on December to Dismember (2006) as it is currently a FA candidate. The FA candidate is here. Thanks - you've been a good help!! Davnel03 14:15, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Could you possibly say why you put the {{Cleanup-section|date=October 2007}} tag at the Start of the background section. If I recall properly, looking at the history, the article has been copy-edited slightly by others. I know why you put the expand tag on the Aftermath section, but could you possibly remove the other tag? Or even explain why you put the tag in the article. Thanks, Davnel03 16:35, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for removing it. I thought if a GA reviewer came to review the article now that they would automatically fail it. Thanks! Davnel03 08:03, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
