Quotation Marks

With reference to your recent edits to Tazria, please note that in American usage (as opposed to British usage), periods and commas customarily fall within quotation marks. Thanks for your attention to detail. -- Dauster (talk) 11:12, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip, I'll take that into account in my future edits. -- Aarp65 (talk) 18:11, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Dacor (scuba diving)

Thanks for your additions to Dacor (scuba diving). I've made a few changes to comply with MOS:BOLD, as we really only use bold font to point up the first use of the article title (or one of its alternate titles) in the opening sentence - that's to help readers tell that they've arrived at the correct page after searching for an article. Consequently I've tried to explain in plain text how the name Dacor came about. It's probably better that way for a blind visitor who can hear the text via a screen reader but can't see the bold letters. I've also removed the external link because we don't duplicate links already used as references. Hope that helps, cheers --RexxS (talk) 23:22, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Notice

The article Süzer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Only one article (so no value as dab), no evidence of coverage of the surname which meets WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Duscha

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Duscha requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Loleit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Loleit requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Notice

The article Klemps has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No one named "Klemps" listed here or on enwiki. Could be moved to Klemp (surname), but a disambiguation between one name and a redirect is overkill. A hatnote at the current target of Klemp may be all that is needed.

Nomination for deletion of Template:Lambrecht-surname

Please stop

Please stop creating these templates for surnames. {{Lambert-surname}} has been deleted after discussion at AfD, and I plan to propose the rest of these for deletion, working my way up your list from {{Matthew-surname}} onward. There is no sourced content in the encyclopedia which connects these names, navigational templates should not include unlinked items ({{Sweet-surname}} has hardly any links), and if you have information about these surnames which is reliable sourced you would do better to create a section giving this information in, for example Sweet (surname), and then adding it to the pages for the surnames on which we have articles. (I would have thought LeDoux might be connected ... but it should only be included if you can add a reliable source to say so.) PamD 08:52, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
