In general, a person or organization added to a list, as on Star Trek fan productions, should have a pre-existing article to establish notability. If you wish to create such an article, please confirm that your subject is notable according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. SummerPhD (talk) 22:01, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
A pre-existing article? Pardon me, but I do think that if this is the Star Trek fan productions page, then it should have.. um.... star trek fan productions on it? I'll go about writing a page on it, but I'd really
like to see some of the Wikipedia ethics reviewed. A page that claims to have fan productions
on it should NOT reject... um... fan productions simply because CNN didn't do a story on it.
- Please note, we have limits on what we will include. List of people does not include 10 billion names. While there aren't quite 10 billion Star Trek fan productions, there are certainly thousands of such productions. Wikipedia's general consensus for lists is that they include notable examples. If you feel your production is notable, start an article on it, citing substantial coverage in independent reliable sources. Then add it to the list. If you disagree, feel free to discuss it on the article's talk page. Thanks. - SummerPhD (talk) 05:06, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
