Oxford commas[edit]

Hi there, please can you familiarise yourself with MOS:OXFORD and refrain from imposing it purely as a style change? Please only add it when necessary to avoid ambiguity or to maintain consistency of style in an article which otherwise already employs it throughout. Mutt Lunker (talk) 14:44, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, some of your edits arguably actively made the text less clear, such as this one. Mutt Lunker (talk) 16:35, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please take heed. Mutt Lunker (talk) 11:10, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your continuation with this unexplained campaign, including a lack of any edit summaries justifying the changes, is becoming disruptive. Please engage, please desist. I will continue to revert these edits. Mutt Lunker (talk) 10:35, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You should apply add missing Oxford commas where an article is otherwise using them and some have been missed, but 1976 British Isles heatwave doesn't appear to be using any others at all (eg. there are some lists of years in sentences later in the article which do not use an Oxford comma).
Adding one comma to the one sentence you happened to notice and describing this as fixing "a punctuation issue" goes against MOS:OXFORD. I have reverted it. Belbury (talk) 19:50, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
