Six Flags Great Adventure[edit]

Hello, I'm Rockypedia. Thank you for your contributions to Six Flags Great Adventure. Let's discuss Great Adventure and Animal Kingdom[edit]

I'm glad you responded on the ANI noticeboard, so you're undoubtedly aware of these messages on your talk page. I'd like to know if you're here to contribute in a positive manner, so answering this message here would be a good start. Also, please see WP:CYCLE - the way it works here, is you can make any edit you want, but if someone else reverts it, you need to discuss it with that person before you add your changes again. That CYCLE link has a lot of useful info that you should read if you plan to continue to contribute. Thanks. Rockypedia (talk) 17:11, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, you've reverted again, this time without any discussion, and now you're clearly edit warring. Please read WP:EDITWAR for reasons why you shouldn't do this. And, again, please read WP:CYCLE. Rockypedia (talk) 17:30, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I had to revert the changes back once again, simply because what you are claiming is simply not true. As someone that works in the theme park industry in a major capacity, I can assure you, by referencing the multiple sources here, that the largest theme park in the world is Six Flags Great Adventure, at 510 acres. Great adventure is sitting on a total of 2,200 acres. They have enough adjacent space to build out their theme park three times over if/when they need to. Also, a bit of insider info that may be interesting to you is that Disney's Animal Kingdom proper (meaning just the park) tops out at 403 acres. The parking lot and associated areas is 97 acres, thus bringing it up to 500 acres. The erroneous articles stating 580 acres are false. Most of the articles were spread from one bit of pre-build misinformation. Not only has Disney ever stated that Animal Kingdom is 580 acres, they do not have the additional 80 acres adjacent to the Animal Kingdom to even build out as much.

The above being said, I can tell you that I am not either a Disney nor a Six Flags fanboy, but I needed to make sure Wiki stays accurate. Heck, it's ALL of our jobs to do this, and unless another park somewhere in this world opes up at over 510 acres, then Six Flags Great Adventure will continue to hold the title of World's Largest.

First, don't remove my talk page comment. That's a big no-no here.
Second, let's address the four sources you keep adding: #1 says "largest regional theme park". #2 is "sponsor content", probably meaning Six Flags paid to put that up. #3 is a theme park blog so that's out. And #4 is a press release, again from Six Flags. So none of them are going to stand up to the reliable sources that document Animal Kingdon's size at 580 acres.
And third, did you read WP:CYCLE? You reverted again before even discussing. That's called edit warring, also not acceptable here. Rockypedia (talk) 17:39, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Check under the 1st bullet point of the 1st reference... it says Largest THEME Park", so your point is moot.

There are just SO MANY sources stating this. Here's another, NOT SPONSORED content, stating exactly what you're looking for. (There are MANY others): http://www.nj.com/business/index.ssf/2012/08/wild_safari_to_get_a_winter_ma.html

You're incorrect. The first source, which clearly says "largest regional theme park", is primary anyway, so not as good as a secondary source. So when they omit the "regional" in the next paragraph, that looks like just more promotional hyperbole. Point is it's not a good source because it comes from the company. The new source you added clearly states "The Texas-based company announced today that it is ... creating a single attraction it says will be the world’s largest theme park" - notice the "it says"? Again, the article author is attributing that claim to the primary source. At the end of the day, there are reliable sources that state Animal Kingdom is 580 acres; unfortunately that trumps your "insider knowledge." I'm asking you nicely once more to please revert the changes you've made, which will avert the need for an admin to block your IP address. Rockypedia (talk) 18:39, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

September 2017[edit]

This is the third time you've disrupted Six Flags Great Adventure and Disney's Animal Kingdom from the same IP address. There's also other IPs that have made the same edits, so it seems reasonable to infer that those edits were yours as well. Please stop. Rockypedia (talk) 13:55, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

More disruption[edit]

So, right after your block expired, you went ahead and removed the same sourced information, along with the references, with this edit. It's the exact same editing that you were blocked for previously. Care to offer an explanation? Rockypedia (talk) 04:09, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that in this edit to Disney's Animal Kingdom, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:46, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
