Surname updates[edit]

Thank you for all your diligent efforts in keeping surname and related articles consistent. Wikipedia relies on quietly methodical gnome work (that's a compliment around here) to stay up to date. If you would like any help, I'm sure some people at WP:WikiProject Anthroponymy would be willing to take an initial each, especially if you create an account just in case your IP address changes. Either way, thanks again for all the good work. Certes (talk) 22:13, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Laterthanyouthink (talk) 22:50, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

December 2023[edit]

Hello, I'm TechnoSquirrel69. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Buell (surname), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 17:43, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 22:13, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you.
