Edits to category pages[edit]
Sorry, but your edits to several category pages had to be reverted. Pages are added to categories by actually adding the category to the page. See WP:PAGECAT. Also please see Help:Category for additional information. I know it seems counter-intuitive at first but that's how it works. Also the categorization you were trying to do is handled in a different parent category tree. See Category:Births by year and Category:Deaths by year and will likely find those subjects already properly categorized.
