My reversion of your addition[edit]

I apologize that I didn’t leave a contemporaneous edit summary: I dropped my phone and hit the wrong link!

Your addition was clearly well-intentioned and thoughtful! It just wasn’t written in the tone necessary for ‘’an encyclopedia’’ versus a more colloquially written publication.Contractions are not okay in encyclopedia articles, for example. Every publication has its own “house style”. I hope someone has directed you to Wikipedia’s style manual. I’ve been “a writer” (with various job titles and professions) since 1985 and I always start any new assignment by reading the house style manual. If no one gave you that advice, that’s on them, not you!

But it’s also not clear how this content adds anything new to the article. That isn’t your fault, either, unfortunately. I suspect you were assigned the project of “writing a new section for a Wikipedia article” without any knowledge that there are certain articles that get targeted by not-necessarily-clueful professors for such assignments. This is unfortunately one of those articles. I am peeved on your behalf that you got thrown into a bad assignment like this.
