Conflict of Interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, 205.56.181.195. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.
Note: please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest guidelines before you edit any articles about the United States military or government. Thank you - wolf 19:10, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page USS John C. Stennis has been reverted.
Your edit here to USS John C. Stennis was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://stennis74.wordpress.com/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, 205.56.181.195. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.
Please read Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest guidelines before editing any articles related to the United States military or government to ensure you are in compliance.

Recent edit to James Balmford[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to the James Balmford article. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. Your edit to Ellar Coltrane‎ has been removed, because it violates Wikipedia's style guide on self-reported gender identity. In addition, your edit summary appears to indicate that you may be here with a personal agenda other than just to improve the encyclopedia. Please refamiliarize yourself with Wikipedia policies and guidelines; you will find some useful links to them in the Welcome message at the top of this page. I noticed that in your recent edit to Ellar Coltrane, you restored the pronouns the way you prefer to see them in the article. This is not how it works at Wikipedia; this is a collaborative project based on consensus developed from Wikpedia's policies and guidelines. As Coltrane has indicated that they use singular they pronouns, as mentioned and sourced in the article, that is what Wikipedia reports. I have undone your change again. If you continue your WP:DISRUPTION at the article, you may have your editing privileges suspended. Adding diffs for possible future enforcement:
