Edit count for

Revolutions[edit]

Regarding this edit, I expanded the paragraph but removed Paretto and Rosenstock-Huessy - Goodwin does not mentions them in his list. I plan on expanding this article, so if you have any reference that those two wrote about revolutions, please don't hestitate to correct me.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  02:34, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Piotrus, thank you for telling me. Vilfredo Pareto developed a theory of "revolution" - and "evolution" as well - when discussing different types of elites ("lions", "foxes") replacing one another (Trattato di Sociologia Generale, 1913). Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy published the monograph Die europäischen Revolutionen (last edition 1987), trying to find out an order of different historical types, starting with the papal revolution and ending up with the proletarian one. Therefore, I included them in the artikel and shall try it again. - Greetings -- €pa 19:59, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am familiar with Pareto's theory - but I'd rather think it classifies as a theory of social cycles, not revolutions. Rosentock's writings seem more 'revolutionary' - perhaps you could add a note about them to his aricle?-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  03:20, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Piotrus, thank you for your message. Concerning Pareto, certainly, there are cycles; but, foxes replace lions in an evolutionary process by cunning, but lions foxes by revolutions, using force - their main "residuum" includes force. Furthermore, I shall look up Rosenstock-Huessy, trying to bring in more information, this has been a good hint. Greetings -- €pa 01:55, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re John Rex[edit]

Great edit on this article. I am going to unwatch it now, since I was only looking after it until someone who knew both the subject and how to edit to the Wiki style came along. Enjoy! LessHeard vanU 21:18, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recast of Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy biography[edit]

I'm looking for advice on how to proceed on the Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy article. You've shown some interest in the past. The article has become less of a encyclopedia-style biography and more of a series of book reports. I encourage you to review my proposal on how to proceed and leave your suggestions. HopsonRoad 12:14, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi HopsonRoad, the German version (de:Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy) has gone through a thorough re-examination, and I guess, it is rather fine, now. Shouldn't one try to follow these lines? I shall turn to him, as soon as I can. Truly, €pa 00:42, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry that I missed your comment here, €pa. In the process of re-casting the article, I did look at de:Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy, but haven't yet drawn on it significantly, drawing as I did on the ERH Society/Argo Books biographies. At a later time, I may have the ambition to cross-compare. In the meantime, you're welcome to do so. Sincerely, HopsonRoad (talk) 02:03, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks and good luck for your formidable contributions. -- €pa (talk) 15:21, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, €pa:

I notice you undid my reassessment of Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy's importance on the WikiProject Dartmouth College importance scale. I've extensively explained why I made that edit over at User talk:HopsonRoad#Re: Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy. Basically, importance rankings are to be used internally within each WikiProject, and have no bearing on the article's content or anything.

Since that reassessment was part of a much larger ranking effort in WikiProject Dartmouth College, I hope you don't mind if I revert it to keep the system's rankings consistent. Dylan (talk) 19:52, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear €pa, I can add that, if you look at the ranking of other notables at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Dartmouth College articles by quality log, e.g. C. Everett Koop, you'll see that they receive the same rank. Sincerely,--User:HopsonRoad 16:43, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, HopsonRoad, thank you for explaining; your considerations are much deeper than mine. Truly €pa (talk) 23:52, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Queis, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page.

If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. BrucePodger (talk) 01:27, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for telling me; my intent was to speed up the writing of an article on the river. -- €pa (talk) 01:34, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blankenese Bahrenfeld[edit]

Hi there. Sure you are abselutly right. but this was a minor mistake from copy and paste from the .txt documents. Sorry -- Sebastian scha. (talk) 23:06, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Arno Schmidt Foundation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Ironholds (talk) 18:13, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, but you have been very very quick, while I am still completing the article. You may see already, that it is a important foundation. Please, hangon! Especially, sources will follow. -- €pa (talk) 18:48, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is my first experience with an attempt to speedy deletion. Perhaps, you could give me a special briefing, which items you think are essential, to keep the stub alive. I shall be very thankful for this. As well, some days should be given to me, to strengthen the lemma. Greetings. -- €pa (talk) 19:15, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The contribution was deleted, in spite of the period this foregoing night, during which my prepaired addition to Wikipedia (en) has been impossible to place due to an international Wiki system failure. This has been a most unplaisant experience with deletion politics of the English Wikipedia. Sorry to say so. -- €pa (talk) 15:28, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome to rewrite the article if you can fulfil the notability guidelines for organisations, which I have already given you. Ironholds (talk) 15:36, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. -- €pa (talk) 23:24, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chris McGrath AFD[edit]

A friendly heads-up. It looks like you meant to put your comment in the AFD: [[1]] somewhere else. If I'm being dense, just ignore me. I think you meant to start your own AFD. Bradjamesbrown (talk) 17:58, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So I did. I meant John Louis Dania. Sorry for my ignorant handling of the deletion procedure. Greetings -- €pa (talk) 11:38, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
