Account Blocked[edit]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, UserFSS, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Unblock Request[edit]

As the user name was your only reason for blocking, please unblock this account, Daniel Case (talk) --UserFSS (talk) 19:14, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, but first ...
Here are a few key questions:
You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 22:59, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. Please unblock this account, Daniel Case (talk). --UserFSS (talk) 14:27, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have absolutely no idea who the user FeithSystems is/was. That user page was 5 years old; that user has been inactive for 5 years. I have no relation to that user or whomever that account belonged to. I found that page simply by doing a search within Wikipedia for Feith Systems. I blanked that page because whomever that user is attempted to start a page for that company half a decade ago. That page had links to what was then a non-existent Feith Systems page, which suddenly jumped to life when I created the Feith Systems' page. I blanked that page as to avoid confusion and so the comments for deletion and block from that page were not attributed to me. Let me repeat: I have zero links to the User FeithSystems. I was trying to avoid exactly this confusion. It is understandable, but you are making specious and circumstantial leaps that do not exist. I understand sock puppetry just fine. Let me be clear: I have no idea who User FeithSystems is. Please unblock this user, Daniel Case (talk) and WikiDan61 (talk).

Thank you for your explanation. I don't believe my question was a "specious and circumstantial leap". Users blanking other users' talk pages always raises suspicions. I'm glad you were able to provide a reasonable expectation. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:16, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Daniel Case (talk) 13:53, 5 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You were unblocked to allow you to request a username change; please follow the instructions in your unblock request above and make this request before making any other edits. Kuru (talk) 16:56, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kuru (talk): Please excuse my ignorance, but I do not see above how to re-name myself the approved name. I read above and I read at Wikipedia:Changing username, and I'm only seeing how to request, not how to complete the change. Is this something that Daniel Case (talk) has to do, or can you or WikiDan61 (talk) please help me? Thankyou --UserFSS (talk) 18:05, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You must make the request at WP:CHU and then an admin will evaluate the request and either complete the request or deny it. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:05, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

WikiDan61 (talk): Hope I did this correctly. That is not a very user-friendly set of instructions of how to get to the request page: Wikipedia:Changing_username/Simple#UserFSS → ZeroesAndOnes

You appear to have gotten it right. You should receive messages from the admin who evaluates the request as to what to do next. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:39, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations on your new username. Now, just remember to log in under this new name rather than the old name. (Not sure if you can log in under the old name, but I've seen it happen somehow in the past.) WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:41, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Because it's just not true. I can't argue otherwise; that's why in real legal proceedings you aren't forced to prove your innocence, because you just can't.

Decline reason:

Our technical means shows that you are operating in concert with other accounts in violation of policy. only (talk) 21:01, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • @only (talk): Sorry you feel that way. I don't have the time nor energy to fight you and 'prove innocence'. I hope you are not in a similar position one day. Happy new year.
