A tag has been placed on Bitcoin Well requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

A7: No indication of importance (company or organization); Largely sourced to press releases, ads masquerading as news articles and their website

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – NJD-DE (talk) 21:17, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bitcoin Well moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Bitcoin Well, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Liz Read! Talk! 21:34, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Uponly,
I moved your article to Draft space as an alternative to deletion. Articles put directly into the main space of the project are subject to standards of verification and reliable sourcing or they can be deleted and Draft space is a location where you can develop articles over time.
If you have questions about article creation or editing on Wikipedia, please visit the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:37, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Liz,
I think this removal was done as an oversight? I sourced 90% of the citations from major media outlets. The rest was from a press release or company website. This is well within the guideline put forth by wiki. Please provide clarity why you feel these sources are not valid? Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uponly (talkcontribs) 21:41, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I nominated that article for speedy-deletion so I may be biased, but to me it was the right call to remove that article from mainspace. It has not been removed entirely though and Liz moved the article to draft space. There you can work on it until you feel it's ready for a review.
I really suggest you to review the references you used. Honestly seeing one where the author name is "Advertisment" did suprise me a lot, and definitely made me giggle a bit. This one is an ad as well just looks like a news article and labeled as "Sponsored content". As pointed on the draft's talk page there is ultimately just two references that are not an ad, the company website or a pressrelease (one might argue though that company websites and pressreleases are advertisements in some form as well). – NJD-DE (talk) 22:07, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I would suggest for future reference you take into account that the majority of sources are valid. It was my first time creating a page I could have used less sources, but I see many wiki pages have sourced press releases as well, so I included two.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Uponly (talkcontribs) 22:12, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry if I wasn't clear. The problem specifically is that the majority of the sources are not ok. Anyways I sense you have a particular interest in getting this article published. Any reasons? In case you have a relation to that company (financial or not), you must disclose that per WP:COI and WP:PAID. Thanks. – NJD-DE (talk) 22:21, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I did say it was my first article contribution. It took a lot of work to research and find all the content accordingly. I didn't appreciate the oversight and flag, and removal for trying to help an open network. It is really discouraging.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Uponly (talkcontribs) 22:25, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Creating articles as new user is the most difficult task one could pick, but Wikipedia's content guidelines and policies apply to everyone. Wikipedia has a strict notability guideline, and notability has to be demonstrated by existence of significant coverage in reliable, independent sources. Anyways, as mentioned previously the work is not lost, it's just been moved to draftspace because it needs improvements. I encourage you to work on it, submit it for review and then receive some valuable feedback from the reviewer. You will be blocked for supporting spreading mis-information.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Uponly (talkcontribs) 00:10, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Of course not. If anyone is likely to get blocked soon, then it's you for disruptive editing.– NJD-DE (talk) 00:25, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I hope they block you too for supporting the spread of mis-information. It is clear you both do not support open well documented medical advice and rather push your own personal bias and agenda. This is now documented here. So thank you both!
