Bobby Tench

Great work on the above page. If you wouldn't mind checking some of the ISBNs on the references section - they are supposed to go blue with a link, like some of the ones I've done, but I don't have the books so I can't do them all. You may wish to check the following pages as guidelines on how to reference sources in a more clear way: Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen (it took me ages to understand how references work on wikipedia). If that is completed, then the article will be at a good standard of quality. If you have any questions then reply on my talk page if you wish. Bobby Tench solo singer?

Still in love with you

Good point Still in love with you a single on Stiff. Bobby recorded this with Brian Robertson from Thin Lizzy^[1]^[2]who plays guitar on this single.B side is Heart out of love. The single released in 1986 On the Stiff record label^[3] The release number is BUY242. The single is promoted on the Stiff website.

The single was released as a 6" and 12" single. If you put Google "Bobby Tench Still in love with you" you will see plenty of verification!

Eric Burdon

Hi, I read your edits on the article page of Eric Burdon. Attention, you had much work. But there are some things that are not right. Burdon did nothing for MTV in 2008. "Sixteen Tons", "We Gotta Get out of this Place" and "No Man's Land" all happened in 1990. Also "Live at the Coachhoudse" was shot on Oct 17 1998, not 2008.

And there are some things with the times. What means The Animals 1962-2003??? You should sort it a bit more, like 1962 - 1964... 1967- 1969, First Marriage, 1970-1971, solo from 1973-1979.... you know what I mean???

But you did great work anyway.

Re-arranged Animals section

I get you and have re-arranged the Animals section. It is dfficult to put uncomplicted time lines for Eric Burdon's association with The Animals and therefore it is probably best just to have the headings without dates in the Animals section. Bobby Tench infoboxes

Can you please stop adding infoboxes on the page, as they don't really belong there. If you want them to be included in wikipedia write an article for them, like I did with "Still in Love with You (Thin Lizzy song)". You've done some great work on Bobby Tench, although there are still some issues with the article. If you want it to get a high rating on the wikiprojects you must consult the Manual of Style guidelines or some editor might put a tag on it or something like they did before. If the article gets a little more care, it could possibly get to GA standard. It already has enough info., and you're knowledge on Tench is obviously very advanced, so you shouldn't have too many problems expanding the article even further. Boxer (band)

You might like to break out Boxer (band) into separate pages for each album.

It's normal for each album of a band to get its own page on Wikipedia; and it will probably also give you an easier time with Wikiepdia's image police.

If you do split out the pages, don't forget to update the image description pages to point to the new album article pages that the images will have moved to.

Live at the Roxy and article rating

Firstly the Live at the Roxy CD. To make the info. on wikipedia reliable you must reference it with proper sources instead of just stating in the ref. that it's true - put a web link in or something. Where did you get the info. from, because I'm a massive Van Morrison fan and this is the first time I've heard of this official release of the album? It'd be increadibly interesting if you can prove it. I'll ask user:Agadant about it (who also knows a lot about VM).

The problem at the moment with the Bobby Tench article is that it doesn't follow closely theManual of Style guidelines (I'll read it over and see if I can sort the Tench article out to get a better rating). Nearly everything would have to be gramatically correct to get a B rating and perfect to get an A. All the references have to be reliable as well, with clear links to books or web pages so that it's easy for anyone to see where the information has come from (see "notes" section on Bob Dylan & Van Morrison pages). I think a picture of Tench would also be needed. I have the Van Morrison in Ireland vid so I'll see if I can get a picture of him in action off that for the article.

Here's the B class assesment and I've ticked the things I think the article has at the moment:

B {{B-Class}}	The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations where necessary. It has reliable sources, and any important or controversial material which is likely to be challenged is cited. The use of citation templates such as `{{cite web}}` is not required, but the use of <ref></ref> tags is encouraged. The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies. Done It contains a large proportion of the material necessary for an A-Class article, although some sections may need expansion, and some less important topics may be missing The article has a defined structure. Done Content should be organized into groups of related material, including a lead section and all the sections that can reasonably be included in an article of its kind. The article is reasonably well-written. Done The prose contains no major grammatical errors and flows sensibly, but it certainly need not be "brilliant". The Manual of Style need not be followed rigorously. The article contains supporting materials where appropriate. Illustrations are encouraged, though not required. Diagrams and an infobox etc. should be included where they are relevant and useful to the content. The article presents its content in an appropriately accessible way. Done It is written with as broad an audience in mind as possible. Although Wikipedia is more than just a general encyclopedia, the article should not assume unnecessary technical background and technical terms should be explained or avoided where possible.

I think it was spelt both ways on the article to start with, so I looked on allmusic and it was spelt "Blood Letting". I've googled it and checked the album and it should be Bloodletting - never trust allmusic. Hello there! If you look at the article and compare it to the website, it becomes clear that the content in the article is not original. If someone creates an article using text from the website, that would constitute derivative work - which is not permitted under copyright law. For example:

Van Morrison refs. etc.

In the Rogan book it just states Van Hooke just recomended Feat & Tench to Morrison, but on the Tench website it states that Feat & Tench also played in Streetwalkers together, which proves Van Hooke saw Streetwalkers and thought that Tench and Feat were good players. So both refs. prove the statement.

I know that the info. on the Bobby Tench page is all true (or nearabouts) but the people who rate the article won't think like that and will count the unreferenced material as untrue. Take the Van Morrison page for instense, it's a B-class article, but when it was nominated for GA some material wasn't referenced so it remained B-class, eventhough the unreferenced material was true. If you can't find a ref. for something try and cheat a little bit and pretend to include it in a ref. that's already there, by putting it behind the ref. - you know it's true, so why should it be removed?

You've worked fantastically well on the Tench article and nodoubtedly deserved a better outcome. In my opinion the article is at a really good standard now. Of course, as you mentioned, it would be nearly impossible to get a good section together about his personal life at the time being. Hopefully when his solo project (whatever it is) is more publicised, some more info. could surface, but until then I'll scrape together anything I can find.
