A tag has been placed on Draft:Transkriptor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Alexf(talk) 11:41, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I am writing to request an unblock and a change of my username to Zisan98. I understand now that my previous username was not in line with Wikipedia's username policy, as it gave the impression of representing a business, which was not my intention. I acknowledge that Wikipedia is not a platform for advertising or promotion, and I regret any misunderstanding my previous contributions may have caused.
My sole intention moving forward is to contribute to Wikipedia in a neutral, unbiased manner, sharing knowledge in areas where I have expertise or can perform valuable research. I do not plan to make any edits that could be seen as promotional or outside the community's best interests. I am committed to following all of Wikipedia's guidelines and policies strictly.
In terms of future contributions, I am particularly interested in expanding and improving articles within the fields of technology and software, drawing on reliable sources and maintaining an objective standpoint. I will ensure that my edits are constructive, verifiable, and aim to enhance the informational value of Wikipedia.
Furthermore, I will make sure to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and refrain from editing topics where I have a personal or professional stake. I understand the importance of maintaining Wikipedia's integrity as a neutral and reliable resource. I have chosen the username Zisan98, which is a combination of my first name and birth year, to reflect a personal but neutral identity on Wikipedia.
I hope that you will consider my request and allow me the opportunity to be a part of the Wikipedia community under this new username. Thank you for your consideration. TranskriptorOfficial (talk) 07:03, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

Hi Alexf and 331dot,
I am writing to request to unblock and change my username to Zisan98. I just wanted to my text more clear, that's why, I got help from AI. I am so sorry for that, I won't use again. I realize that my previous username did not meet the expectations of Wikipedia's username policy, because it gave the impression that it represented a company. It was not my purpose.
I know that Wikipedia is not a advertising or promoting platform for services or products. I regret my previous template for Transkriptor gave this impression and seemed like a promotional content. My aim is to contribute to Wikipedia by adding informations especially about software, NLP, artificial intelligence, and Literature since I am interested in the software sector and graduated from Western Languages and Literature.
I have spend most of my time by searching and reviewing the articles in these topics. I will be very careful about the tone of my text while writing. Also username, my name is Zişan and I was born in 1998. I wanted to use the combination of my name and date of the year as a username.
I hope you will consider my unblocking request again. Thanks for your time. TranskriptorOfficial (talk) 11:24, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Editing about artificial intelligence and software would seem to squarely fall within your conflict of interest, so you won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about those topics. We will want to first seen an edit history of edits in other areas, demonstrating your understanding of relevant policies, before permitting you to contribute in those areas. You will also need to declare a paid editing relationship(a Terms of use requirement) as an employee. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:53, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What is your relationship with Transkriptor? You claimed that you personally created the logo of the company so I assume you have some connection. 331dot (talk) 13:49, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I work there as digital marketing specialist. I am responsible for creating blog posts about transcription software, artificial intelligence, etc. I wanted to create our company's Wikipedia page; however, I used promotional language unintentionally. I haven't done it before, so please let me know if I make something wrong by adding logo. Looking forward your guidance and permission. TranskriptorOfficial (talk) 06:10, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding the logo, you claimed it as your own personal work when you uploaded it(meaning you personally designed it). By uploading it to Commons you also made it available for anyone to use for any purpose with attribution; this would mean, for example, someone could take the logo, print it on products, sell them, and your company would not be entitled to any money from the sale of its own logo. If you did not personally create the logo, and/or don't want to make it available for anyone to use for any purpose, you should immediately request its deletion from Commons. Logos are typically used under "fair use" rules and as such must be uploaded to this Wikipedia locally(not Commons). Fair Use does carry some restrictions(like being unable to be used in drafts) but does allow things like logos to appear in actual articles.
Images are not relevant to the draft approval process, which only considers the text and sources. You don't need to worry about adding images until you have a draft that is accepted and placed in the encyclopedia. 331dot (talk) 08:49, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for clarification and your assistant. I would like to change my username and be unblocked. Is it possible now? I promise that I will be very careful for using a neutral tone, not a promotional one. TranskriptorOfficial (talk) 09:08, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You need to make a new unblock request for someone else to review. 331dot (talk) 09:18, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How can I declare paid editing relationship? TranskriptorOfficial (talk) 09:33, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear person of interest, :I hope you are doing well. I made some mistakes because of not knowing the terms. I should have declared a paid editing relationship. I work for Transkriptor and we wanted to have a company page in Wikipedia, so that our customers and people who are interested in using speech to text technologies. I realized that it falls the conflict of interest. So, as far as I understand, as an employee in Transkriptor, I am not allowed to write about the company, right? I would like be unblocked and change my username, so that I can write about the other topics. I really understand the reason of my block and the policy of Wikipedia. As I mentioned before, I studied Western Languages and Literature, I can edit the articles in these area as well if I am unblocked. If I am allowed to edit Tranksriptor page, I am willing to do that as well. In this time, I will be objective toward the topic. I hope I could declare the paid editing relationship below. This user, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by Tranksriptor for their contributions to Wikipedia. Also, I hope to be unblocked and to contribute to Wikipedia family. TranskriptorOfficial (talk) 4:53 am, 6 November 2023, Monday (2 months, 4 days ago) (UTC−5)

Accept reason:

I've placed this at the bottom for proper flow; this is easier to do if you refrain from using the Reply feature(which is imperfect for several reasons) and instead open the edit window directly by clicking "edit" at the top or in the section header. Someone will review your request. 331dot (talk) 10:57, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
