Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 18:07, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:19, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I understand that my previous account name and most recent article made came off as being promotional material. In reality, I accidentally made the name of the article I wanted to create my username and could not figure out how to change it. I was following the format of several existing Wikipedia articles, such as these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MarketInvoice, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kabbage, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wealthsimple, and this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funding_Circle) as well as the best practices outlined in the Wikipedia guidelines, so I believe this is what led to my article being flagged. Firstly, I want to humbly apologize for breaking Wikipedia's rule regarding unambiguous advertising or promotion. Secondly, I would like to rectify this mistake by changing my username so as to avoid a situation like this in the future, and to be able to continue to contribute to the Wikipedia community by editing articles for grammar, spelling, and accuracy (which I enjoy and have done in the past), as well as publishing articles about topics and entities that are noteworthy. I will also work on moderating and ensure that no one else makes the mistake I did. To address the question of the nature of my connection to FundThrough: I'm a fan of the Canadian tech scene, and I had the opportunity to meet some of their team at a large tech conference, where I really appreciate their work. I noticed afterward that similar companies (whose pages I listed earlier) had Wikipedia pages, so it made sense for this company who was at such a large conference to have one too.

Accept reason:

Unblock request accepted. Good luck; if you have any questions, please ask. 331dot (talk) 19:14, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:FundThrough logo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:FundThrough logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:29, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

June 2018[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Hello, Switchadon. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "FundThrough".
