December 2023[edit]

For clarity, with my Checkuser hat on this account is somewhere around  Possilikely (a mix between possible and likely) to Special:Contributions/Montigliani, but it could be meatpuppetry/improper coordination. I reckon any more sockish goings on here between these two accounts and they should both be indef'd. firefly ( t · c ) 17:51, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An apology[edit]

I'm sorry mate you got punished because of me. The admins are obviously wrong or playing his game Dynasty Power. What to do; They have the power. Again I am sorry. Montigliani (talk) 19:20, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Firefly, I just realised that my recent edits resulted in blocking me for sockpuppetry. I would kindly request to reconsider my block since I have no relation with user Montigliani. To add a bit of humor, it would make more sense for user Montiglianito be my sockpuppet rather than me being his, especially since that user was created approximately 10 days ago. In contrast to that user, I have been contributing occasionally for quite some time to both the Greek and English Wikipedia, consistently engaging in sports-related articles. Even my approach was different: I did not engage in any edit war and I participated in the discussion in a polite manner. Please, if a check user hasn't been performed yet (I'm not familiar with the procedure), I urge you to do so to confirm that I have no connection with the aforementioned user.SportsGreece (talk) 12:09, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline as the block has expired. Ponyobons mots 22:41, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Per WP:CHECKME, "On some Wikimedia projects, an editor's IP addresses may be checked upon their request, typically to prove innocence against a sockpuppet allegation. Such checks are not allowed on the English Wikipedia and such requests will not be granted." 331dot (talk) 17:05, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear 331dot, thank you for your reply. As I said above I'm not familiar with the procedure so I was not aware of that. But to be clear: My request for unblocking is primarily based on my contribution, from it is clearly demonstrated the absence of any relationship with Montiliani, which was created as an account a few days ago. I understand that Firefly didn't have the necessary time to conduct in-depth research. It is understandable and can happen to anyone. However, looking at my contribution, it becomes clear that we are not related whatsoever.--SportsGreece (talk) 09:23, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
MY ACCOUNT was not created a few days ago, but 3/4 months ago. The only account that is new is his Dynasty Power. Administrators usually check users, not us. But they seem comfortable with the Dynasty Power treatment. I can say that they are his accomplices. Montigliani (talk) 11:11, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

March 2024[edit]

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Spyros Marangos article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 20:31, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello GiantSnowman. It's true that I didn't provide sources for the material I added, even though it wasn't libelous or contentious. There are numerous sources regarding Marangos' presence in Panathinaikos, so I plan to add them as soon as possible. SportsGreece (talk) 09:33, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
