Welcome[edit]

It is not the best way to greet strangers, but your article on The 4th Reich (film) has been marked for speedy deletion as a clone of The 4th Reich. One topic - one article, one must go. As for the original The 4th Reich - the rule is "Films that have not been confirmed by reliable sources to have commenced principal photography should not have their own articles." (see more at Wikipedia:Notability (films) and Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Future films). The article makes an impression that they had not commenced shooting (film!), which means that both articles need be deleted.

The article The 4th Reich has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Principal photography has not began yet - delete per WP:NFF

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. East of Borschov 19:06, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The old double standard[edit]

Here we have the Jude Law film The Depression Diaries that might get released in 2012.
Any indication that principal photography has begun?
Not particularly.

AfD Nomination: The 4th Reich[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that The 4th Reich meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The 4th Reich. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. -- Atama 22:22, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Progress?[edit]

Production was supposed to begin in the autumn. How are things going? Varlaam (talk) 06:30, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Very well thank you, production has been scheduled to this summer due to bigger distributors coming aboard. I noticed that the page has been replaced with a page titled 'The Fourth Reich' which explains the term itself. Any chance we can put the page back on? Thanks. (RobMorris 00:31, 24 March 2011 (UTC)) Robert.

I'd suggest it is too early still unless it has received major coverage (as, for example, major blockbusters do). I have established a disambiguation page at Fourth Reich (disambiguation) and made sure the relevant links point to The 4th Reich (film), but for now I'd recommend you work on a version in your sandbox (someone can fetch the best version - which looks to be the original version you posted minus the bio of the director cobbled on the end). There you can add sources as reliable coverage becomes available (there are a few bits and bobs on the actor's articles to get started with) and then run it passed the folks at the Film Project to see if it meets the notability criteria. However, if I had to guess, it'd probably not meet those standards until the film is released. Another problem is that the article has been deleted twice now, which means you really have to nail its notability or there will be another round of deletion discussions, so be sure to ask for expert advice from the relevant projects before making the article live. Also watch out for the fact you might not be considered unbiased (as you have said you are the director's PA), so second opinions will help avoid those pitfalls. Or you can wait until someone else creates the article, as I'm sure they will at some point, just not perhaps yet. (Emperor (talk) 02:42, 5 July 2011 (UTC))[reply]
