Information icon Hello, I'm CLCStudent. I noticed that you recently removed content from Russell Simmons without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Immaculate Heart Academy edits

[edit]

This edit removed extensive portions of sourced content, while adding non-encyclopedic content about board members, along with a person added to the list of notables who has no Wikipedia article. Why are you making these changes and why are you removing content? Alansohn (talk) 22:14, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Immaculate Heart Academy have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 14:08, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 14:44, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't been "advertising" per se. But if you are editing for a client, you must comply with the policies described in the notice above. You should also not directly edit articles about your clients, but you may make edit requests. 331dot (talk) 14:46, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UTRS decline

I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you at this time. Please describe in greater detail how your editing was unconstructive and how you would edit constructively if unblocked. Please read Wikipedia's Guide to appealing blocks for more information. As you still have access to your talk page, please post your unblock request to your user talk page, omitting any off-Wiki personally identifying information. If you have not already done so, please place the following at the bottom of your talk page, filling in "Your reason here "
 {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.

Request reason:

We understand the reasoning for being blocked. We recently had a new hire who was not familiar with Wikipedia policymaking edits. The employee has been notified of the policies and will no longer be making edits. We have read through Wikipedia's policies in regards to requesting edits and disclosing being paid to make said edits and will make the necessary changes in order to be unblocked as all changes are factual and in no way harmful or promotional. Shared accounts are not permitted. If you wish to be unblocked, please read the instructions above, including all linked policies, then follow the instructions above. For example, you didn't address your violations of WP:USERNAME and WP:COI, among other problems. Yamla (talk) 18:11, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Receive compensation from client Immaculate Heart Academy to edit and make changes to their page. I understand I was blocked due to my username and COI and have made the necessary changes to avoid that in the future. I understand from now on I will be making suggested edits instead of direct edits and disclose that I am getting paid for the edits. Desired new username is R Caruso since I will be the only one running it from here on out. Please unblock me.

Decline reason:

You created a new account to sock when I'd said that I was willing to unblock you? Yeah, no. Offer retracted, unblock declined. GeneralNotability (talk) 01:27, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just noting that it is not "their page", but an article about them. 331dot (talk) 15:45, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A couple of points. "All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking." Also, those who make their living writing promotionally usually are unable to write in a non promotional, encyclopedic manner. Further, we usually don't find edits paid for by a subject to be constructive. Perhaps a general unblock with a partial block on the article in question. Edit requests based on reliable sources could be made on the talk page. Any concerns about content and sourcing could also be raised on the subject's talk page, WP:BLPN, or as a last resort, .via email to WMF info-en-q@wikimedia.org --Deepfriedokra (talk) 11:52, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
331dot, any objections to an unblock conditioned on them disclosing their paid status + a pblock from Immaculate Heart Academy ? GeneralNotability (talk) 20:55, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No objection, thanks. 331dot (talk) 21:12, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

rename

[edit]

Rename not successful. The chosen username is too similar to existing usernames or it used to be username of someone else that got renamed: R.Caruso, R.caruso and Rcaruso. Please make another selection. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 11:44, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I recently had some difficulty getting back into this account. I had to create another one Ryan at Caruso where I was then blocked and in contact with someone on how to get back into this account, Ryan Caruso at Caruso Digital. Is there a way to deactivate the Ryan at Caruso account so I am not flagged as using multiple accounts? I also understand that I am required to disclose that I am getting paid to contribute on a person's page. Is there a way to put that on my main page so it is always there? I also know that I must disclose I am getting paid when suggesting an edit, is that correct? Are there any other concerns or issues? If so , please point me in the right direction so I can avoid being blocked in the future as I respect Wikipedia's guidelines and would like to avoid anymore issues.Ryan Caruso at Caruso Digital (talk) 14:33, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am closing this request as stale; you may make a fresh and hopefully more persuasive unblock request. 331dot (talk) 06:27, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am requesting to be unblocked as I have disclosed I am being paid by Immaculate Heart Academy to make necessary changes to their Wikipedia page. I understand that I am supposed to request edits instead of directly edit, as well as disclose during the edit that I am getting paid. Is there a way for my to disclose that information on my profiles page so it is there permanently as well so there are no issues in the future? I requested to be unblocked some time ago, and the ticket was closed because it took too long for a volunteer to review. I kindly ask that you please let me know when we can expect to be reviewed and unblocked, and if there is anything else required of me to be unblocked. Thank you! 331dot, any objection to unblocking with pblock for the article? Jake Wartenberg (talk) 01:16, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Jake Wartenberg I'm happy to leave it to your judgement; I will say I am concerned that they apparently gave access to their sock account to someone else(User talk:Ryan at caruso). 331dot (talk) 08:26, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ryan, can you please tell me who will be using this account? Jake Wartenberg (talk) 15:06, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
