Thank you for your work improving Russian Union of Engineers! Cerebellum (talk) 14:36, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello RomankevichLS! The deletion discussion for Russian Union of Engineers has closed, and the consensus was to keep the article. Thank you for all the work you've put into the article, and I hope you stay and continue to edit Wikipedia! If you ever have any questions I'd be happy to assist - just leave a note at my talk page and I'll get back to as soon as I can. Thanks again! --Cerebellum (talk) 14:39, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

One thing I've noticed about your articles is that they seem a little promotional in tone. Please review Wikipedia's style guidelines and the page writing better articles to see some common mistakes to avoid. Other than that, keep up the good work! --Cerebellum (talk) 19:10, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your comment, it is highly appreciated! However I will be very glad if you will provide me a little of assistance on how to improve the text of the article.

Could you please specify what exact parts of the article are you concerned about so I could go ahead and try to correct them? I will appreciate your help! --RomankevichLS (talk) 11:45, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, of course! Here are some examples from Russian Club of Financial Directors:
1) You should shorten the "Principles of activity" section to three or four paragraphs. The lists of 12 objectives and 6 areas are too detailed and could probably be summarized in a few sentences.
2) Wikipedia must be written from a neutral point of view, so you shouldn't say things like "the Club summarizes expresses and promotes the interests of the financial community in Russia," or that the club "forms a correct understanding of the Russian financial community." These are opinions, not facts, so if you keep them you need to provide sources to back them up.
3) The section "The possibilities of the Russian club of financial directors" is biased, especially with sentences like, "Members of RCFD take a proactive stance, contribute to the development of the Russian economy." Instead of talking about possibilities, talk about objective facts, as you did with the "Social projects" section of Russian Union of Engineers.
Does that make sense? Your article general rating of city appeal is good because it focuses on the facts, not opinions or objectives. --Cerebellum (talk) 21:47, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Same thing

[edit]

Isn't the urban environment quality rating the same thing as the general rating of city appeal, with just a better translation from Russian to English? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:12, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, RomankevichLS. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Urban environment quality rating, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Wieno (talk) 05:12, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
