Information icon Hello, I'm Mmackinnon. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nurse_anesthetist have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. The title is accurate and supported by references. CRNAS are NOT midlevels nor is that a title. The AANA does not recognize it nor does any state. Stop Mmackinnon (talk) 03:57, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nurse_anesthetist. Again, stop vandalizing the page. Mmackinnon (talk) 03:59, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mmackinnon. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nurse_anesthetist, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Again stop vandalizing the page. These are referenced. There is no such thing as a "midlevel" title Mmackinnon (talk) 04:03, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I’m sorry but you are vandalizing by using inappropriate words. Being a nurse is a noble profession and I do not tolerate those that would discredit the nursing profession Onejokeaway (talk) 04:04, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nurse anesthesiologist is not a recognized term by the world health organization and Mmackinnon is vandalizing this page with improper terminology Onejokeaway (talk) 04:55, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The world health organization does not decide on titles. The American association of nurse anesthesiology does. Nurse anesthesiologist is an approved title nationally and not restricted by anyone. Mmackinnon (talk) 04:58, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists does not get to decide to call themselves terms intended to mislead patients who depend on information they receive as factual. Anesthesiologist is a term solely reserved for an MD or a DO. You are vandalizing the term for confusion and are not focused on patient trust Onejokeaway (talk) 05:07, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Request reason:

I’m requesting that you unblock me and stop Mmackinnon from putting unapproved terminology that is not approved by the world health organization. He is vandalizing the nurse anesthetist page by falsifying terminology.

Decline reason:

This does not address your edit warring. Everyone in an edit war thinks that they are correct, so to be unblocked early you will need to describe the proper ways to resolve an editing dispute. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 06:46, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

He is not blocked (Personal attack removed) 216.87.237.181 (talk) 05:01, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly this is referenced directly on the page. The WHO does not decide on or recognize titles. The AANA decides on titles For CRNA. The reference is directly on the page. You are vandalizing for political reasons. You need to stop. I’ve been managing this page for years. Mmackinnon (talk) 05:03, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have no interest except patients. If you were focused on patients, then a title terminology debate would not be of concern. Your motivation is solely political and for profit Onejokeaway (talk) 05:09, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I not think it is for profit but political, not really but close. 216.87.237.181 (talk) 05:10, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock request

[edit]

I was unfairly blocked for putting accurate information into the Wikipedia page. A person named Michael Mackinnon keeps editing a page with information not approved by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS). Furthermore, as they are the true governing body of medical services provided they have say as to appropriate title names. I was blocked for putting the appropriate names for a CRNA, which is Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

You have allowed Mr. Michael Mackinnon, aka Mmackinnon, to falsely update the page with the phrase nurse anesthesiologist. The term anesthesiologist is reserved for a physician (MD/DO) who went to medical school. By allowing this term posted by Mmackinnon you are allowing inaccuracies that the CMS and the World Health Organization do not use nor approve of because it causes confusion to the average person of the healthcare professionals abilities and responsibilities. I would hope that you would correct this error and block Mmackinnon from vandalizing the nurse anesthetist page at the very least if you choose not to unblock me.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Your Inaccurate Statements

[edit]

You said:

"I was unfairly blocked for putting accurate information into the Wikipedia page. Furthermore, as they are the true governing body of medical services provided they have say as to appropriate title names. CMS does not define titles, the national association approves their use and, just as in my state, they can be used via the approval of the board of nursing. "Physician Anesthesiologist" the approved title of the American Society of Anesthesiologists" is ALSO not "approved" by CMS. Yet it is all over the ASA website and used synonymously with physician. CMS does not, in fact "approve" or "regulate" any titles nor do they have the power to do so.

You were blocked for editing with inaccurate terminology. Such as "midlevel", changing the name of the American Assoc. of Nurse Anesthesiology, their official LEGAL name to AANAnesthetists. I have referenced the correct approved titles and the name of the assoc. in the wiki. This is inaccurate and clearly for political reasons. In fact as a physician yourself it is clear you have no other motivation.

"You have allowed Mr. Michael Mackinnon, aka Mmackinnon, to falsely update the page with the phrase nurse anesthesiologist. The term anesthesiologist is reserved for a physician (MD/DO) who went to medical school."

This is not accurate. There is no protection for this title by anyone or for anyone. In fact there are dentists anesthesiologists (https://asda.org/), veterinary anesthesiologists (https://acvaa.org/) and, anesthesiologist assistants (https://aaaa.memberclicks.net/faqs) clearly showing it is not, in fact reserved for MD and DOs.

"By allowing this term posted by Mmackinnon you are allowing inaccuracies that the CMS and the World Health Organization do not use nor approve of because it causes confusion to the average person of the healthcare professionals abilities and responsibilities."

There is NOTHING confusing about NURSE Anesthesiologist and the research was done to prove that (https://www.nurseanesthesiologistinfo.com/poll).

Again, please stop trying to edit for political reasons. Mmackinnon (talk) 15:40, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Hello. Why are not engaging the discussion at Talk:Nurse anesthetist? You've made zero edits to it, but many reverts to the article itself. This is something that you need to correct. Thanks in advance for your close attention to this matter. El_C 23:11, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I had messaged the person using political terminology from political action committees and instead of meaningful conversation without politics he is accusing me of being politically motivated. I have no motivation other than truth. My words are falling on deaf ears and I therefore choose not to engage someone who has ulterior motives and self agenda. So I’m removing myself from any more discussion. Onejokeaway (talk) 23:37, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know about any of that, or much about the dispute and article in question, but here's what I do know: contested changes at an article are discussed at that article's talk page. Disputants who fails to do so effectively forfeit their position. Now, if you reach an impasse there (or otherwise had already reached it elsewhere), there are dispute resolution requests you can avail yourself of, such as Third opinion or a Request for comment.
And please don't cast aspersions on your content opponent's motives. Try your best to assume good faith (i.e. an error committed by someone rather than them being purposefully underhanded). You do that by addressing the facts of the matter (the content dispute) and that's it. Comment on content, not on the contributor.
In any case, you will not be permitted to continue reverting while the other disputant's article talk page comment remains absent a reply. You don't need to speak to them directly, though that is preferred, but you do need to say something for the record at Talk:Nurse anesthetist — even if you phrase it as: I challenge Mmackinnon's assertion that ___ (and so on). So, those are the expectations in the event that you wish to see your preferred changes retained in the article. On Wikipedia, usually the best sources win the day. Good luck. El_C 02:18, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just added a definition from the department of justice. But I honestly want nothing more to do with this. I don’t think it will serve me because I have no dog in the fight with way. I understand your point about not casting aspersions but unfortunately I don’t think the person who is attacking my corrections cares and is using this as his platform.

I am signing off for good now Onejokeaway (talk) 00:22, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RE: removing comments

Why are you removing mine and Mmackinnon's comments? I don't understand. In any case, you are prohibited from doing so. Thanks again. El_C 22:58, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, blocked, I guess. This is very confusing to me. El_C 23:00, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I tried to respond to you but you blocked me as I was posting. I did everything you asked about writing on the talk page and not editing the page first. I posted cited references to the Department of Justice’s page from the DEA that uses the term mid level. I referenced the Center for Medicare and Medicaid services and he stated they were not reputable sources to use. I feel that he is biased so therefore I deleted his comment as I want nothing to do with him. I only posted a comment to state support for the other user that he claims is biased. I do not understand why a member of the AANA is allowed full authority of the page. I understand he is allowed to edit and put information that his organization is claiming, but he then attacks me in his comment response. How can that be allowed and he not blocked?

Obviously you are the admin and can decide what to do, but I don’t see how this page can be allowed as it is used by a political organization member who is telling “their truth”. Which means its not the truth. I understand if you decide to maintain the ban on me but you can clearly see by my edits I have not made any additional changes to the page in case it was felt I was biased. I am not an anesthesiologist but I have witnessed this type of bullying from members of the AANA before and will not tolerate their abuse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onejokeaway (talkcontribs)

Onejokeaway, please sign your comments + timestamp (WP:SIG). Anyway, I don't know why you thought you had the authority to remove comments from the article talk page again and again without an explanation. Not to be harsh, but if you keep approaching Wikipedia's learning curve in such an acute Dunning—Kruger sort of way, it probably isn't going to work out. Just being blunt. El_C 23:21, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Onejokeaway, you removed my own comment from the article talk page twice without an expalantion. All I said was that you both should WP:SIGN and WP:INDENT your comments for readability. And I suggested that maybe you try getting help from WT:MED. What was wrong with that comment? Why did you remove it repeatedly? Again, this is quite confusing to me. El_C 23:26, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just delete my page

[edit]

El C

I’m not sure if you can read this. Just delete my page. I really don’t know how to do most of the things on here other than type and add comments and speak the truth. I don’t know how to add signatures, I assumed it added it by just me adding a comment. I never claimed I knew how the ins and outs of Wikipedia went. Just keep me blocked or delete my page please.

I didn’t realize I deleted your comment. I was deleting Dunning Kruger comments from the other person and yours were deleted in the wake. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onejokeaway (talkcontribs)

I'm spending a lot of time on providing you with explanations, Onejokeaway, but it feels like you're not reading these closely. That's frustrating. It takes like 5-10 minutes for one to familiarize themselves with the bare essentials here, but you gotta click on the links and review the pertinent documentation (a tautology). I don't know what else to say. El_C 23:44, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I hadn’t looked at it, but I just did. I wasn’t intending to frustrate you, I was upset with the other user. Either way, thank you for asking for more sources for that page. Hopefully you will get multiple user inputs to that page and it will improve the accuracy of it.Onejokeaway (talk) 23:55, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, Onejokeaway, I unblocked you. Please edit in a professional manner befitting a collaborative project. If you're uncertain about something, maybe ask first before doing...? G'luck. El_C 00:01, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
will do, thank you. I prolly will not add anymore, but if I do I will make sure I check how to add something with proper protocol. Again, ThanksOnejokeaway (talk) 00:09, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
