Advice?
Greetings! You recently closed an AfD I have created (Fort Washington Fire Company). As a result I wanted to see if I could get your advice on something. There is a user by the name of Zlassiter who seems to have created an account for the sole purpose of reverting and challenging edits I have made. Their 6th edit after creating an account was to place a large templated warning on my page after I nominated a page for deletion. As a result of that disagreement they have now taken it upon themselves to add comments to every AfD I have created saying that I have a long history of false nominations. [13], [14], [15]. When I attempted to remove one of them as being non-contructive and having nothing to do with the discussion at hand. They reverted my edit and warned me ([16]) once again. Not sure what to do about this. These comments seem to me to constitute personal attacks and seem to violate the notion of commenting on content not the contributor. I will be the first to admit to you that I am a bit hot under the collar about this. I've been editing for years and this individual has less than 30 edits, almost all of which has been to revert my edits, make these personal attacks or even request admin intervention against me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. —Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 16:23, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Zackmann08: I notice that you have attempted to communicate with the person on their talk page (diff), which is what I would initially recommend. I also notice that they have not replied there. Another admin has warned the user on their talk page to stop posting comments such as the above (diff). So, hopefully the user will heed that advice. If matters continue, you can report the matter at WP:ANI. North America1000 00:49, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks a bunch! I appreciate it. My main thing was I wanted to make sure that I was not in the wrong here. But sounds like from what you are saying this is inappropriate behavior on their part. Thanks again. --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 01:40, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
huh?
So why does somehting like that have to become part of a user's archive? [17] - the whole afd is an abomination of people who know nothing about tasmania walking into something they know nothing about, and preserving something that is unencyclopediac. JarrahTree 00:05, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- I archive posts to my user talk page, rather than blanking them. North America1000 00:08, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- ok - fair enough, the article is closer in title and format now, as I was trying to explain at afd. JarrahTree 23:45, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- so - there seems a distinct lack of imagination for the adapting of unencyclopediac articles, so that either the title or the content can be given enough context for something like that absurd list to remain a viable article. not sure what the problem is, but thanks for your cleanup... Hi, Northamerica1000, I noticed your edit. Why, if I may ask? Lotje (talk) 09:47, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Lotje: As you likely noticed per the thanks I received via notifications after my error, you likely figured out after posting this that I made a reversion error, whereby the revert you performed was the correct one. I reverted my erroneous edit. Sorry about the mistake. North America1000 09:50, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Looks like Odisea, a Spanish version of the Odyssey, I think. I don't know if this affects revisions or anything, so I thought I'd post this. Dustin (talk) 03:53, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- I reverted the edit because the content could potentially be a copyvio. North America1000 03:54, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- I think it was a copyvio, but it's been removed so I hope I haven't pointlessly bothered you about it. Dustin (talk) 03:59, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

- I copied a section of the text the IP added and it provided a match with text contained in a book known as Odisea. This is one example. I'm still getting Odisea to come up with random excerpts from way near the center of the IP's text block here. Dustin (talk) 04:03, 24 June 2015 (UTC) Dustin (talk) 04:03, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Dustin V. S.: With a little more qualification, I'd be willing to revdelete the version. North America1000 04:06, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Even this is giving me results (it doesn't seem to highlight the specific words, but the copied text is there, but two pages before the page the link actually starts me out on). Dustin (talk) 04:13, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- My searches are also providing evidence of copyright violation:
- As such, I have deleted three revisions of the page (see Revision history). North America1000 04:25, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Okay; I appreciate your haste in responding! Dustin (talk) 04:27, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Dustin V. S.: I have deleted additional revisions of the page as copyright violations after performing more research. I have not deleted this version, because it appears to be from a Spanish version of the Bible. Check out Bible translations into Spanish for more information. 90.33.167.222
Hi NA, saw your recent block notice on the talk page of IP 90.33.167.222 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). They've returned with edits like this one where they remove character descriptions from the cast list with no explanation. Also unexplained removal of wikilinks, etc. This is very similar to an edit they made prior to their block. I also noticed the unsourced addition of birthdate info for Regan Mizrahi (a minor for whom WP:BLPPRIVACY would likely be very important.) Here they remove a df=y switch for a subject who is clearly British. If you notice Tefkasp's edit on the left, it appears the same bogus change was also made by IP 92.148.123.161. Both IPs geolocate to France (ISP: Orange). Could be Maelbros, although I don't see the typical infobox parameter vandalism here. Anyhow, if you need anything, ping me or somethin'. Hello Northamerica1000! First off, Kudos on doing great job in AfDs. Your work is widely noted! Just wanted to ask you something out of curiosity. Not to stop you or anything, just a curiosity. Came across this line Users who have previously voted in a discussion should not relist it, and users who have relisted a debate should not subsequently vote in it. in WP:RELIST, and you just breached the line in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jaya Supermarket, didn't you? Or am I getting something wrong? Either way maybe.. Just wanted to clarify my doubt. Cheers! --JAaron95 (Talk) 14:09, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Editing in Bhumihar
Hi NorthAmerica
I had just found several wrong illusion in the content Bhumihar. Regarding the presence of Bhumihars, certainly, there woyld be few in each countries. But we are talking about mass level population. Recently, at a meeting of historians in Patna, the same topic had came. And apart from few historians belonging to Bhumihar caste, who had no substantial proof, all were agreeable that the people brought to Mauritius, Fiji, Guyana were labors and belonging from poor caste. Certainly Bhumihar being landed, would not have been brought to those land. It is only in recent years that false glorification of their fellow caste are being done by everyone, and so by Bhumihars.
Similarly, Mr Naipaul has said publicly that he has no idea about his roots. his grandparents emigrated from India to work as indentured servants in Trinidad's sugar plantations. So certainly nothing is known about his caste. And certainly, Naipaul surname is not used by Bhumihars.
Most probably, it seems you belong from Bhumihar caste, so you got offended by my editing. There is nothing wrong in glorification of ones caste (although we should have left this caste identity in sake of nation), but it should be genuine and correct. Why put something without any proof. If you want, then there are other people from the caste whose name can be put in the page — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rajkishore.iim (talk • contribs) 12:46, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hello @Rajkishore.iim: The problem was that you removed content from the article (Bhumihar) that is cited to a reliable source. Wikipedia content is written based upon what reliable sources report. I have no bias in this matter, but the rules need to be followed. Furthermore, when you performed the edits, you did not provide edit summaries explaining your changes. A good way to resolve these types of matters is to initiate a discussion on the article's talk page. North America1000 13:46, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
