March 2019[edit]

Your editing at Kalpana Mohan is disruptive. Some of it is copyright infringement. Some of it is promotional. Some of it is unsourced. Some of it is just unencyclopedic. For example:

  • You cannot say that her father "was close to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and an active and prominent member of the All India Congress Committee." First, you have no source for this material, and, second, her father's life is largely irrelevant to her article.
  • Nor can you say this about her father: "For his political beliefs, he was jailed by the British for some time. Nehru often invited Kalpana, a trained Kathak dancer, to dance at the Rashtrapati Bhavan whenever dignitaries visited." Again, it is unsourced.
  • You cannot say: "Kalpana was a trained Kathak dancer and was often invited by then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to perform for dignitaries at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. She was spotted by actor Balraj Sahani and Urdu writer Ismat Chughtai, who encouraged the beautiful and talented Kalpana to come to Mumbai" First, this is a WP:COPYVIO. Second, phrases like "the beautiful and talented" come straight out of a fan magazine and are inappropriate at Wikipedia in any article. You make it worse by also saying similar promotional material, i.e., that one of her films "was highly successful, with the film and its music still lauded till today."

I am going to revert your edits (again). If you persist in violating Wikipedia policies and guidelines, you risk being blocked.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:54, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
