Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ditto.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ditto.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:41, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:The Headband2.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:The Headband2.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Category:DC Comics characters with accelerated healing[edit]

I am a little concerned over your inclusion of characters without accelerated healing as part of their powers set, and I think, by including some of the characters that youhave, that you are exercising Original Research. I've opened a discussion on this subject in the WikiProject Comics talk page, specifically here. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 20:49, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deal. I'll start from the end. :) - Arcayne (cast a spell) 21:57, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
From the end, i went up to and completed the letter G. I removed a lot of the cats as not being part of their cited powers sets. As well, I exluded vampires, as they cannot be harmed by most things, so there is nothing to heal from. Lastly, i excluded those characters from series wherein everyone seems to 'suddenly get better', like a lot of the manga series. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 22:33, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, that sounds good. I was thinking of doing the same thing for the category "Fictional telepaths". If you'd like, we could do the same thing for that one as well. --Piemanmoo (talk) 23:06, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would this apply for clones, like Ellen Ripley and Cell? Or for dead bodies of characters? Please reply on your talk page, Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 19:50, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I believe it's more for characters who were frozen for a period of time and then later awoken. If it's a well-known part about that character, adding it should be okay. If it happened on one occasion and isn't something the character is wel known for, I'd avoid adding it. That being said, feel free to use your own judgement on wherever you feel it should be, although others might take it off if they dont agree.--Piemanmoo (talk) 19:49, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So it's not for those who need to be preserved to survive, like Victor Fries and Nora Fries? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 20:34, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Classes in Team Fortress 2[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Classes in Team Fortress 2, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Daphne Millbrook[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Daphne Millbrook, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Fictional comets, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Fictional comets has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Fictional comets, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Daphne[edit]

Hello... unfortunately, your edits have had to be reverted again. The character of Daphne in Heroes does not warrant an article at present; all efforts to create one have only contained plot, whereas an article on a minor character would need significant real-world information to justify it. --Ckatzchatspy 22:34, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. It's not a question of what is easy... simply put, you would have to find a lot more real-world information about the character than appears to exist right now. More power to you if you can, but the proper path would be to keep the "List of" entry until there is enough material to warrant an article. Otherwise, you may find that in the current climate (with regards to fictional characters) that the article ends up being nominated for deletion instead of just merged. As it now stands, the other two articles you mentioned will probably end up being merged as well at some point as they are also minor characters, with little or no real-world material.
Useful information might include comments from the producers on the role, casting notes as to who was considered for the part, long-term influence of the character on the main characters, and so on. Again, though, this would all have to be sourced. --Ckatzchatspy 23:10, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"No fish" userbox[edit]

Hi. You marked User:Piemanmoo/Nofish for deletion with {{db-u2}}, but it is more popular than perhaps you knew - it is transcluded on over 180 user pages, and tagging it put all of them into CAT:CSD for speedy deletion. I have made it a redirect to your new page, so that the pages which transclude it now show correctly. If you don't want to leave that link to your old username, we could move the userbox to be a sub-page of User:UBX and change User:Piemanmoo/Nofish to redirect to that.
