November 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Bradford. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! —  Bradford  (Talk) 05:42, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Question for administrator[edit]

Help about problems with one user

--Mike the time (talk) 04:36, 6 November 2019 (UTC) Hello dear administrators. I need help. Please I want to report Bradford because he deletes all my edit without sources so I don't know why he do it. Please I want ask you to tell him if he want to delete something mine, firstly he has to put reliable source before he deletes my post, so please I need help. I read he is blocked from Spanish wikipedia probably because he do the same thing, and also his English level is low and he do edit on English wikipedia pages. This user go to all my edit and delete and after it don't put any sources to claim why he do it.[reply]

Thank you on help.

Other users are not required to source your edits; it is up to you to provide an independent reliable source for your edits, especially if the edit is to an article about a living person. Please review the Biographies of Living Persons policy. IMDB is not usually considered a reliable source as it is user-editable. 331dot (talk) 11:38, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Osvaldo Ríos. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Please stop adding "most famous" to articles and stop adding unsourced claims. The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 05:23, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Wham2001. I noticed that you recently removed content from Turkish people without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. I have gone through your recent edits and reverted several of them, since they did not appear to improve the encyclopedia. When making further edits to Wikipedia please bear the following in mind:
  • Wikipedia is based on information published in reliable sources. Anything you add must be verifiable to a source – there is typically no reason not to add a reference to the source when you edit the article and you should almost always do this.
  • Similarly, you cannot remove sourced content from an article simply because you don't like it. You can replace it, if you have a better source, or remove it if you have some other good reason: in that case you should explain why you are removing it in the edit summary and/or the article talk page.
  • These requirements are particularly important when writing about living people. Read the Wikipedia policy on biographical editing before editing another article about a living person.
  • The edit summary is for explaining your edit. Leaving it blank, particularly when the motivation behind your edit requires explanation, is a bad idea. Leaving a misleading edit summary, as you did here, is not acceptable.
I see that I am not the only person to leave comments and advice on your editing. Wikipedia is the encyclopedia that anyone can edit, but only if their edits help make it better. Please follow the advice you have been given in order to make your future edits constructive. I have linked several policies and guidelines in the feedback I have given above and I advise you to read them carefully. Thanks, Wham2001 (talk) 07:40, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Ana de Armas, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. — Film Enthusiast 21:08, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

February 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Suonii180. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Miloš Biković, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Suonii180 (talk) 01:11, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Miloš Biković[edit]

Please don't add content describing someone as the most popular actor of all time as you did at Miloš Biković. It is not a WP:NEUTRAL point of view and phrases like it should be avoided as per MOS:PUFFERY. Suonii180 (talk) 10:13, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Eastern Europe or the Balkans. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Please stop adding Serbian ethnicity to articles[edit]

Hi. I see that you are adding text to a great many articles which describes people as ethnically Serbian. Take for example: Rade Šerbedžija. This is inappropriate, because we are expected to describe people, such as actors, by their nationality in the lead sentence rather than by their ethnic group. We have had problems with this type of editing in the past. I suggest that you stop making these changes, which I will now revert, and read our policies on biographies of living persons and verifiability before you continue editing in this area. Please also familiarize yourself with the context of conflicts in Eastern Europe on Wikipedia by reading WP:ARBEE. AlexEng(TALK) 22:28, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
