Hello MariaMorris1. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:MariaMorris1. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=MariaMorris1|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 12:26, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:MariaMorris1, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=MariaMorris1|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 12:30, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I can confirm there is no financial gain or any payments or benefits I am receiving for creating this article. I have merely found the information online and added the relevant information based on the information that is out there on multiple platforms that are very popular. When I saw the show and researched about Daniel Ashville Louisy I saw that there is no wiki page on him so I created it. I have no financial gain from it and only doing it to add information for others. Please let me know how I can go about rectifying this issue so the information stays up on Wikipedia as all the information can be found through independent research. Thank you MariaMorris1 (talk) 09:56, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You took a picture of him and he clearly posed for you. How do you know Mr. Louisy? 331dot (talk) 09:57, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The picture is on his own website. I believe there is a mistake on my end when adding the photo but you can find the picture on his website. Thanks MariaMorris1 (talk) 09:59, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If the picture is from his website, you must immediately request its deletion from Commons(if it hasn't been done already) 331dot (talk) 09:59, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ok I understand. I will request the deletion and try to add a photo from a source that is accepted by Wiki MariaMorris1 (talk) 10:00, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why did you correctly upload the image of Sebastian Thiel but not of Mr. Louisy? 331dot (talk) 10:02, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I believe at the time I was multitasking and had alot going on and did not pay attention which was my mistake and When I uploaded the image for other articles it was a long time ago and the process was not fresh in my mind. Again apologies for my mistake and I will rectify this as soon as I am able. thank you MariaMorris1 (talk) 10:15, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In any event, you need to better demonstrate how Louisy meets the definition of a notable person for the draft to be accepted. Being a CEO or having a lot of social media followers doesn't do it. 331dot (talk) 10:26, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ok I understand. I will edit the article more to make sure I do what you have suggested. I added this as he has a show on National Geographic and is a proven entrepreneur like others in similar industries but should I maybe change the definition to a different type of article and not a notable person maybe? I guess my reasoning to create it was for people to have basic information about someone who is getting more popular and I saw a lot about him recently. MariaMorris1 (talk) 10:40, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not for telling about people who are "getting popular" or getting notable- they must already be notable and recognized as such by independent reliable sources to merit an article here. Popularity is also not the same as notability. A person can have millions of social media followers and not be notable, and a person can have few social media followers and be notable.
It is certainly possible that Mr. Louisy's work is notable but not him personally; if sources are focused on his company rather than him personally, that's what should be written about instead(for example). 331dot (talk) 10:45, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I completely understand. Thank you for your help and your advice and again I will do better with this and in the future to ensure I do things to the best of my ability so that its perfect for Wikipedia. thank you MariaMorris1 (talk) 10:57, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
