An administrator feels that I am trying to promote myself on Wikipedia, but really, I was trying to make an informative article about my channel. I would like to start over with my account, and only use it for minor edits. TheLukeTalkShow (talk) 21:37, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

There is no difference here between "promotional" and "informational" as Wikipedia is not for merely providing information, it is for summarizing what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of notability(such as notable web content). I agree to not post about my channel or edit about it anymore. Also, I will be editing typos, and information that is not true, which I will be backing up with sources. • I can't see any reason not to unblock your account, but I prefer to give the blocking administrator a chance to comment first, in case they have a good reason that I don't know about. Sorry this will mean having to wait a bit longer, after you have already waited for quite a while.

• If your account is renamed, and you then try to log in under your old username, you will get a message telling you that the username or password is wrong, which might make you think that you have lost access to your account. You can in fact simply log in with the new username, and the same password as before, but I like to warn editors before changing the name, to avoid confusion. When you have read this message, post a message here telling me that you are ready for the name change to go ahead. In that message include both the text {{ping|JBW}} and ~~~~.
