An extended welcome[edit]
Hi Lee got bit. Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.
Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.
If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Wikipedia and the neutrality required in articles.
Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.

Please be far more careful with the sources you choose[edit]
Hello, I'm Ronz. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. - Sorry about the notice, which doesn't completely describe the situation, as you're simply adding references.
- You're fairly frequently using poor and unreliable sources. One of the problems is you're finding sources that use Wikipedia as references, which is inappropriate per WP:CIRCULAR.

Circular sourcing[edit]
Hi Lee, I've noticed a few examples [1][2][3][4] where you added self-published sources that had been copied from the article you were working on. In the cases I've looked at, the website states that its source is Wikipedia. This is known as circular sourcing; see WP:CIRCULAR and this xkcd. Please go back through the sources you've added and remove any examples of that kind of source. In addition, it's usually wise (for this and other reasons) to avoid self-published sources, and they should never be used to support text about living people; see WP:BLPSPS. Please don't use NNDB[edit]
It was deprecated in a 2019 RfC. Editors note NNDB's poor reputation for fact-checking and accuracy, despite the site claiming to have an editorial process. Editors have also found instances of NNDB incorporating content from Wikipedia, which would make the use of the affected pages circular sourcing. Thanks. Doug Weller talk 16:39, 30 January 2020 (UTC)
