Question from VIHEMBA PAULUS (14:20, 2 January 2024)
Good day and complement for the new year.
I wrote an article about an association called the National African Students'Association, however I have noticed it is not yet published. May you please help me --VIHEMBA PAULUS (talk) 14:20, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @VIHEMBA PAULUS, I don't think the draft should be published at this moment. The article relies too much on primary sources and does not seem notable, as in it does not have multiple, published sources providing significant coverage on the subject. I've added a banner on the page and you could press submit when you think the draft is ready for a review. Justiyaya 14:28, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you very much VIHEMBA PAULUS (talk) 15:33, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
Question from Szeng74 (15:11, 2 January 2024)
Hello! If I want to publish an article I've been working on from my sandbox, how would I go about doing that? --Szeng74 (talk) 15:11, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Szeng74 you could click the "Submit your draft for review!" button on the top of the page when you are ready. Sourcing looks quite questionable at the moment though, Geni and Wikitree both does not look really reliable, some more reliable sources providing significant coverage would be great. Justiyaya 15:47, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I'll try to look for some other sources before I submit then Szeng74 (talk) 19:32, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
Question from Frankxc (16:06, 3 January 2024)
Hello, This is my first edit. On "Holocaust Novels" Wikipedia has an astounding omission. It is William Styron's novel, "Sophie's choice". I seek to call attention to this. --Frankxc (talk) 16:06, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Frankxc, Sophie's Choice (novel) already is in Category:Novels about the aftermath of the Holocaust which is in Category:Novels about the Holocaust which is what I believe you are referring to. Usually we don't include articles in categories if it is already in a category under that category... if that makes any sense at all. Justiyaya 03:47, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for Reviewing
Hey @Justiyaya Thank you for reviewing Nepal Police Hospital. I hope your reviews and contributions in Wikipedia will play a great role. I would like to request you to review other pages mentioned on my User Page too when you get free time. Cheers and Happy editing. WikiEditorNepali (talk) 09:26, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- @WikiEditorNepali Most of the articles you've created has already been patrolled, I've reviewed the last one on your userpage. Although next time it'd be best not to post on multiple reviewers' talk pages asking for a review, we'll get to it sometime along with the rest of the articles in the queue. Good job with the articles and keep up the good work! Justiyaya 10:00, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @Justiyaya
- My intension was just to appreciate you guys for the valuable time and efforts to review articles which we create but not to post on multiple reviewers' talk pages asking for a review. Anyway, it's my bad that it sounded like that. Happy reviewing! Cheers. WikiEditorNepali (talk) 10:09, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

- Hi @Oo-rah! the marines are here! I'd suggest reading more about it on WP:Subst, I think the page would explain the process much better than what I could do. Justiyaya 16:43, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Question from Julie Ferdon (01:22, 10 January 2024)
Hello, I was simply trying to correct the record. My father never attended the University of Michigan. He attended Marietta College before transferring to the University of New Mexico where graduated. My other changes were simple edits but you can ignore them. --Julie Ferdon (talk) 01:22, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Julie Ferdon! It would be helpful if you are willing to share what page you are trying to change. If you want a more private way of discussing this, I'd suggest emailing the Volunteer Response Team. Your account seems to have not made any other edits outside of posting this, so I'm not really sure what you are talking about. Justiyaya 16:39, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Appreciation for your assistance
Hello @Justiyaya,
Thank you very much for your recent assistance on my new article! I saw on your user page that you are seeking to adopt new users and I am interested in knowing how that works. I am actually not a new user, since I have had this account for a long time. I have only started editing more within the past few years and would like to know more about Wikipedia editing skills. Thank you very much, and I look forward to hearing back! Kevin9217 (talk) 04:43, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hiya Kevin9217! It's been a bit since I've done adoption and it could really be anything. Some mentors go with quite an involved approach, offering tutorials and assignments on specific policy sections. I don't see that being really helpful for you. You could also just send me questions on whatever and I'll answer them or point you to someplace which can. What would you be interested in working on? Justiyaya 09:51, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @Justiyaya!
- Thank you for the response. I would like to start off by learning shortcuts to editing, and how to operate bots, since the editing I do is mostly manual. I look like to know what are some good shortcuts, advice, and tools/bots that can assist me in the editing process. Kevin9217 (talk) 10:40, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Kevin9217 Ah I see :D I've never really touched bots but I've got a few semi-automated tools. Don't think you've used any so here's the more basic ones.
- Perhaps first enable the script installer for easier installing in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets.
- for editing
- for navigation and browsing
- User:Novem Linguae/Scripts/CiteHighlighter for nice citation coloring off reliability
- User:Enterprisey/copy-section-link for getting section/permalinks easily
- You might also want to try WP:refill and perhaps the internet archive bot (I've not played with that as much)
- I've got a bit more installed for more specific things but the above should be good for most users. Justiyaya 11:22, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Justiyaya Thank you for the resources!
- May I feel free to contact you in the future regarding any other assistance about editing? Best, Kevin9217 (talk) 16:26, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

Tommy Prine flag
Hello @Justiyaya, Concerning the flag you placed on Tommy Prine "tone or style may not reflect the encyclopedic tone used on Wikipedia". I understand why the flag was placed. I updated some wording and removed other statements to make the article read more encyclopedic. Do you have other concerns or suggestions to fix the article? Gumballhead1of2 (talk) 09:12, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Gumballhead1of2 I think the more accurate tag would've been WP:NPOV, here's some examples that are still in the article:
- Real tragedy struck Quite classic example in Help:Introduction to policies and guidelines/neutrality quiz
- blazing his own path "blazing"?
- of late folk legend is "legend" is subjective term? Maybe "influential"?
- I think most new wikipedians (certainly me) had had this issue when we were getting started. Thanks for responding to feedback :D If you have any other questions regarding it, or just Wikipedia in general, feel free to message back! Justiyaya 12:10, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the detailed, constructive criticism! I made changes to address neutrality concerns, and hopefully is ready to have tag removed. Gumballhead1of2 (talk) 20:45, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

Question from The-artchive (22:00, 23 January 2024)
Hi Justiyaya, I mainly joined to make some edits to the Wikipedia page about the site I own, Artchive: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Artchive
What is the process? Can I claim "ownership" or something like that?
I will make appropriate edits to bring the article up to date, as there have been many changes to the site.
Thanks! --The-artchive (talk) 22:00, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- @The-artchive Generally a bad idea to do so. You could not claim ownership of an article nor could you control what it says. You should not edit the page directly and should only suggest changes on the talk page, adding
{{edit COI}}
. You should declare the conflict of interest on your talkpage with{{UserboxCOI|1=The Artchive}}
and review the conflict of interest policy. Lastly, you might want to change your username. Usernames that are names of organizations are not allowed, something like <username> at The artchive would be, you can create a new account or change it by following WP:Changing usernames. RE: UBIQUITOUS UP FOR DELETION
This article is needed, Ubiquitous presently links to Omnipresent, which does not explain the word found in many Wikipedia articles. However, that link sending people to omnipresent needs to link to here. Once that happens, adjective and adverb can removed from the title. The system won't allow two ubiquitous articles. Starlighsky (talk) 13:56, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Starlighsky then the procedure would be to open a discussion for Ubiquitous to be a inter-wiki redirect to wiktionary, not creating a new page on Wikipedia. I'm not exactly familiar with policy surrounding them, but I'm guessing it'd involve RfD… probably. I'll take a closer look tomorrow. Justiyaya 14:47, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks. My experience so far is that I am basically doing exactly what needs to be done for the issue, more or less. Starlighsky (talk) 15:27, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- I am not sure how to open that discussion, though. Starlighsky (talk) 18:31, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Starlighsky I've opened a discussion here. Could I tag both Ubiquitous (adverb or adjective) and Ubiquitous (adjective) for deletion (per WP:Wikipedia is not a dictionary)? Feel free to place the sentences in Wiktionary (I'm not really familiar with them). Justiyaya 12:01, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ubiquitous (adjective) is needed because it corrects the defective redirect that was going to omnipresence.
- Here is my line of reasoning: Ubiquitous is needed as an article because it helps people to upgrade the article ubiquitous computing, which needs our help at the moment. Starlighsky (talk) 13:55, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Starlighsky But Wikipedia is not a dictionary and thus articles like them should be imported to Wiktionary or made a redirect to them. I see that but the way to solve it is not in making something new, but to engage in discussion at the RfD. Justiyaya 13:58, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- I added the information from the article to Wiktionary Starlighsky (talk) 14:56, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Starlighsky Would you be okay with me requesting deletion of the page then? Justiyaya 14:58, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- I am okay with it, even though it is embarrassing.
- How do I edit the redirect article for the word? i am having trouble finding it. Starlighsky (talk) 15:02, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- The more I think about it, though, the article is easier to read here than it is on Wiktionary. The information is needed here because the Ubiquitous Computing article needs a lot of help in terms of better editing. The more editors have a clear view of the improved version of the term, the more editors likely able to edit the computing article and related articles. Starlighsky (talk) 15:10, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Starlighsky I'll figure it out if you would like me to. Its not really embarrassing, I've had few of mine deleted too.
- I would agree that a it is easier to read here, but that's not what Wikipedia is for. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary. Other improvements could be made inside the article if you feel like its really unclear. Justiyaya 16:01, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia has ubiquity (ability) also redirecting to omnipresence.
- There is definitely a need for an article that redirects go to for the correct definition. Editors creating links are not going to see Wiktionary terms as options for links. To me, the lack of the proper terminology in links is affecting editorial quality. An article on ubiquitous in medicine is separate and distinct to the article on omnipresense which discusses theology. Starlighsky (talk) 19:12, 25 January 2024 (UTC)

- Hi @Neilhuse, quite a bad idea. An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing, and its a really difficult task that is probably not worth it. Justiyaya 12:03, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, the article isn't about myself. It's about a co-worker. Neilhuse (talk) 13:15, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Neilhuse I am aware, most of the same advice applies, you'd still have a conflict of interest to the subject, you'd still have to work with the notability guidelines. Most instances of this I've seen would lead to no results, I'd strongly discourage it. Justiyaya 13:20, 25 January 2024 (UTC)

Lincoln Middle School Article
Hello, I have gone to this school before, so just today I started working on an article for it. It may not seem like much, but it's a start. I'll improve it tomorrow, as it is very late for me right now. Thank you for the tag, I know my article is basic. I'm a newer editor to Wikipedia, so if I make a mistake, feel free to correct me. C0smoNauticalMile (talk) 04:51, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

- C0smoNauticalMile, I've raised the same concern--with rare exceptions, elementary and middle schools are not considered notable enough to merit encyclopedia articles. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 05:02, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry, I didn't know. I just thought that, since my other local schools had their own articles, and that I know a lot about my own school, I would write an article for it. However, I do see your point that it is not common for there to be plentiful information and importance in elementary/middle schools, compared to high schools or colleges. 😞 C0smoNauticalMile (talk) 05:24, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- @C0smoNauticalMile I'll move the page to draft space for now, if it meets the requirements, then feel free to move it back with the sources added. Justiyaya 07:33, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

Custom Infoboxes
Hello @Justiyaya,
Glad to be in touch again. I would like to know if there are any Wikipedia tools which can be used to create election infoboxes or custom election maps. I am thinking of one where states can be filled in.

- @Kevin9217 I'm not great with this, I'm sure Template:Infobox election would work for most elections but I don't think there is any tool really good at working with templates. (in here and here at least)

Question from RedBird Games on Category:Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six games (02:04, 25 February 2024)
I can't figure out to add a new thing to this but Rainbow Six: Smol needs to be added to this page --RedBird Games (talk) 02:04, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @RedBird Games, lets give some time for reviews for the game to come in before making an article. You could add it to this list (remember to include a citation!) for now.
- Organization names as usernames are usually not allowed, you might want to change it even if it's not an organization as it might cause some confusion. Justiyaya 03:17, 25 February 2024 (UTC)

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
Hello Justiyaya,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

- Hi Parhamsahba welcome to Wikipedia! Just to be sure, if you are trying to translate to Persian, you might want to go to Persian Wikipedia, if you are trying to translate from Persian to English, here would be the correct place to do so.
- I don't think there is any filter or policy/guideline that is against using google translate. Could you send me exactly what the website is saying? You could also try publishing it as a draft first at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Justiyaya 00:56, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- thanks for the repky.
- Sure I do start in Persian wiki and the aforementioned problem occurred right there. it says that the wiki process monitor detected a machine translation process and ... Thiugh I start with a blanck paragraph (not google translate or any other means).

Growth News, April 2024
The Growth team will now send quarterly reports to keep you in the loop. Growth team weekly updates are available on wiki (in English) if you want to know more about our day-to-day work.
If you want to receive more general updates about technical activity happening across the Wikimedia movement (including Growth work), we encourage you to subscribe to Tech News.
Community Configuration
Growth features are currently configurable at Special:EditGrowthConfig
. This quarter we are working on making Community Configuration accessible for other MediaWiki developers while also moving Growth feature configuration to the new CommunityConfiguration extension.
An early version of Community Configuration can be tested at Spanish Beta Wikipedia. We plan to release the new Community Configuration extension to pilot wikis (Arabic and Spanish Wikipedia) in early May, 2024. The first non-Growth team feature to utilize Community Configuration will be Automoderator.
In parallel with the development, the Growth team will propose Community Configuration usage guidelines, Community Configuration design guidelines, and provide technical documentation.
Experiment Results
Add a Image experiment analysis results
The Growth team conducted an experiment to assess the impact of the “Add an Image” structured task on the Newcomer Homepage's "Suggested Edits" module. This analysis finds that the Add an Image structured task leads to an increase in newcomer participation on the mobile web platform, particularly by making constructive (non-reverted) article edits:
- The likelihood that mobile web newcomers make their first article edit (+17.0% over baseline)
- The likelihood that they are retained as newcomers (+24.3% over baseline)
- The number of edits they make during their first two weeks on the wiki (+21.8% over baseline)
- A lower probability of the newcomers' edits will be reverted (-3.3% over baseline).
Personalized praise experiment results
This feature was developed for Mentors as part of the Growth team's Positive Reinforcement project. When A/B testing on Spanish Wikipedia, we found no significant impact on retention, but we found a significant positive impact on newcomer productivity. However, we concluded that the results weren’t positive enough to justify the time investment from Mentors. We plan to discuss this feature with our pilot wikis, and consider further improvements before scaling this feature further. Meanwhile, communities willing to test the feature can ask to have it deployed. (T361763)
English donors encouraged to try editing
As in previous years, donors were directed to a Thank you page after donation (example). However, this year we tested a new “Try editing Wikipedia,” call to action on the Thank You page. This call to action linked to a unique account creation page. From this account creation page we were able to track Registrations and Activation (editing for the first time). During the English banner campaign, the Donor Thank you page led to 4,398 new accounts, and 441 of those accounts went on to constructively edit within 24 hours. (T352900)
Future work
Annual Plan
The Growth team and the Editing team will work on the WE1.2 Key Result in the coming fiscal year. We will start initial discussions with communities soon to help finalize our plans. (T361657)
Newcomer Homepage Community Updates module
We plan to A/B test adding a new Community Configurable module to the Newcomer Homepage that will allow communities to highlight specific events, projects, campaigns, and initiatives. We are early in the planning phase of this project that will take place first at our pilot wikis and wikis volunteering. We welcome community feedback on initial designs and plans, in any language at our project talk page.

Question from Khanom Yoga (03:50, 24 April 2024)
I would like to write about BikYasa - a Hot Flow Yoga Style. https://jweekly.com/2022/02/26/berkeley-yoga-instructor-fired-for-links-to-goyim-tv/ Is this an independent source? --Khanom Yoga (talk) 03:50, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Khanom Yoga well yes, but it would probably not contribute to notability as it does not provide significant coverage. Do you have a conflict of interest with the subject? If so, you should disclose it. Justiyaya 04:39, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- I am a studio in Thailand that has classes in this style. However, I employ the person who created the style.
- As this is a Yoga style, the yoga teacher simply wants highlighgt how in 15 years since BikYasa first showed up as a term and a style, today it is a rather popular term and style.
- With such, since it is a Modern Yoga Style, and is a term used by studios around the world, I wanted to create a page for it.
- Believing it is popular enough to have its own page.
- There are various mentions in articles, but ultimately, like all yoga styles, the validation is in the usability, meaning, teachers and students are practicing this style, using the term and creating teacher training around it with certification. Khanom Yoga (talk) 04:57, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Khanom Yoga I think it would be best to declare a conflict of interest.
- The subject may be notable, but I think in most instances it wouldn't be worth your time to try to make an article here. It's quite a challenging process that would take a bunch of time which may not result in a page being created. If you'd like to contribute to Wikipedia in general, try choosing other tasks in the task center and coming back to it once you've gotten a bit more experience. If you still would like to write the article, make sure that the subject is notable based off our notability guidelines (that is has multiple, reliable, secondary sources providing significant coverage to it) and read through WP:1st which would provide much more information on how to do so. Justiyaya 05:48, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Question from Cballer95 (00:19, 29 April 2024)
hello,
I have a question, I fixed all the incorrect writing on Glendale University College of Law, I provided citations which show the school is accredited by the state bar of california. There are 18 plus law schools accredited by the state bar, however Glendale Univeristy seems to be the only one targeted that is stated "they are not accredited" there are my judges and attorneys that came out of here. And if this is not corrected this may be defamatory in nature, please help me, if you see something wrong you can change the technical aspect of my citation. However the cites are legitimate and you can check for yourself. --Cballer95 (talk) 00:19, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Cballer95, welcome to Wikipedia. I had to unfortunately revert a lot of your edits to the article as they seemed to be promotional, we don't allow puffery in articles, words such as "proudly", "tremendous", and "remarkable" should not be included. Additionally, non independent sources should be avoided in writing.
- I also disagree with your judgement of Wikipedia targeting this particular university. Looking through Template:Law schools accredited by the California Committee of Bar Examiners, 1, 2, 3 all has a similar sentence listed in the lead of the article in a similar fashion as the one you removed. (as examples)
- If you hold a conflict of interest with the subject, you should disclose it. Justiyaya 03:16, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- I cited many citations that showed Glendale University College of Law is accredited yet you still took it down and put that it is not accredited. Maybe you have some bias towards this. Cballer95 (talk) 03:19, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Can you please fix the article, its been accredited since 1978 by the state bar of california, yet there is no mention of that. Many states allow graduates from CBA law schools to take the bar exam after 3-5 years of practicing law. How is what I cited not independent? The CA bar website shows a list of schools that are accredited, which is a independent source. I cited a website that shows all CBA law schools. I cited the school's website for the their history, where else will you get their history from? Please update and fix the article. Cballer95 (talk) 04:26, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- As to puffery, You could of removed such words, and left the rest. The rest is factually accurate. Cballer95 (talk) 04:28, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Cballer95, while I would say that the claim in the article was accurate, would this make it more clear? I'd also note that we try to use secondary sources, and government websites aren't usually secondary.
- If you'd want a second opinion on this, feel free to drop a message in the WP:Teahouse mentioning this discussion. Justiyaya 21:50, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- That is a lot better, thank you. Can you please mention that it has been accredited since 1978.
- And can you fix where it says the school renamed itself as a university yet it is not a university, the school confers both juris doctor degrees and bachelors in law degrees Cballer95 (talk) 22:02, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Cballer95, I've been quite busy outside of Wikipedia, please request an edit instead. Justiyaya 00:17, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello! I have a quick question: I accidentally changed my view to the old one and cannot find the change to the new view button. Could you help me locate it? --1002hello (talk) 03:53, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @1002hello, you should be able to change it back with Preferences → Appearance → Skin = Vector (2022)

Question from Yessuusiekeisoeiekekeksk (18:25, 10 May 2024)
Hello.
I have formally created a page on a mobile device but I forgot how. Can you please remind me? --Yessuusiekeisoeiekekeksk (talk) 18:25, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Yessuusiekeisoeiekekeksk, we'd usually prefer new users create articles with the article wizard. If you want to create a page that is not in the article space (pages with prefixes like User: or Draft:), go to the page's URL and there should hopefully be a prompt. I've not that familiar with mobile editing, if it doesn't work, WP:Teahouse might give a bit more insight. Justiyaya 00:23, 11 May 2024 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 15
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Empathogen (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rock. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 06:01, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

Question from Murmuring Rock (14:32, 25 May 2024)
Hi Justiyaya! I've created a draft article in my sandbox that I would like to publish on Wikipedia. Would you be able to review it? Also, if I write future articles, are there places I could send them for review before publishing the draft? --MurmuringRock (talk) 14:32, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- Unrelated question, but is there a way to increase the font on my signature? It looks so tiny. ;-; MurmuringRock (talk) 14:37, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Murmuring Rock, welcome to Wikipedia! Good job with the article, although would you like to put another source that is similar to the one from La Nación in the article? I'm sure that it would meet the notability guidelines but another source would make that a lot clearer. I'd be happy to review it (since I'm your mentor) given that you put another source in. Another route would be to go through articles for creation, where a volunteer reviewer would look over it.
- You could bold your signature by doing something like
'''<whatever you want bolded>'''
if you want it to look larger. Increasing the size of your signature is not really recommended as it may disrupt line width. Justiyaya 14:54, 25 May 2024 (UTC)- Thanks! I think I got my signature exactly where I want it.
- And I added a third source to the article. MurmuringRock(talk) 15:33, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Murmuring Rock eh I would've preferred something that gives a bit more coverage but I've moved it to the mainspace. Happy editing Justiyaya 15:59, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
Question from Lvelte on Hart Building (Marysville, California) (20:45, 25 May 2024)
I see my home town is misspelled. It's name is Marysville not Maryville. How can I get this corrected? It shows in the first sentence under the picture. --Lvelte (talk) 20:45, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @Lvelte, welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your suggestion, I have corrected the error. You could click the edit button and change the text directly if you notice future misspellings. Check out the introduction if you want to volunteer more on Wikipedia. Feel free to leave additional messages if you have more questions! Justiyaya 00:33, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
Question from Samuel Oba Maagbe (00:16, 26 May 2024)
Hello. I have written 2 articles. one about my album and the other, my biography. Also I have having issues uploading pictures. Looking forward to your reply. Thank you for being my mentor. --Samuel Oba Maagbe (talk) 00:16, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @Samuel Oba Maagbe, uh... sorry, writing articles about yourself is strongly discouraged. It would be a much better use of time to take the article elsewhere. It may also get deleted. Justiyaya 00:40, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. can you write on my behalf then? I have no doubt about my greatness. I'll give you all the proof of my information and my licensed pictures. Samuel Oba Maagbe (talk) 00:48, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- no I cannot. Justiyaya 01:03, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Okay. How does it work? How were other people written about? Samuel Oba Maagbe (talk) 01:21, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- The majority of Wikipedia's content is produced by volunteers writing things surrounding their own interests Justiyaya 08:42, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- I understand. Thank you for the clarity I also read the policy with examples. When you say interest you mean people that are journalist in different industries and if your contributions have a big effect on said industry then a biography or a project can be written about the person. Its understandable. I wonder why anyone will not state facts in their articles and spoil it for others.
- Thank you. I am 100% sure I'll be written about. i am great person. Don't forget the name.
- once more I say thank you. Samuel Oba Maagbe (talk) 22:51, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

Question from RCbooks333 (15:51, 23 June 2024)
hi thank you Ja, can I ask how to start an article from scratch?thanks --RCbooks333 (talk) 15:51, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hello RCbooks333 starting an article from scratch is quite a difficult task, trying out something from the WP:Task center would be a better way to get started with editing.
- If you'd still like to create a new article, WP:1st provides some good guidance on that. Justiyaya 16:37, 23 June 2024 (UTC) Justiyaya 16:37, 23 June 2024 (UTC)

- @Agapei.king Writing about people or organizations you are related to are usually not a great idea and would most likely be fruitless. I think it'd be much better if you took your time elsewhere or contributed to some of the tasks listed on the task center. Justiyaya 04:39, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
