Thank you[edit]

Thank you for your vote of confidence in my recent request for bureaucratship. Even though it didn't pass, I greatly appreciate your support and hope I will continue to have your respect. Thank you! Flcelloguy (A note?) 23:00, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE. Desysopping[edit]

I have confirmed this on my talk page thanks. KnowledgeOfSelf 18:19, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser on sv, please?[edit]

I was told that you have Checkuser access. Could you look into an issue of probable sockpuppetry with anti-semitic intent at the Swedish Wikipedia? Please look at sv:Wikipedia:Bybrunnen#Kategori:Judar - finns en checkuser i huset?. up+land 14:26, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion has been moved to sv:Wikipedia:Problematiska kategorier. up+land 18:30, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is no Checkuser on the Swedish Wikipedia, but somebody there said that you have access to it. Just tell me if that was wrong, and I will ask somebody else about it. up+land 07:43, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jag frågade nån på #wikipedia-sv, og dom sa att det inte var nödvendigt med en checkuser på nuverande tidspunkt. Jon Harald Søby 09:09, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Vem sade det? up+land 09:22, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Jag kommer inte ihåg… Jag kan fråga på ny. Jon Harald Søby 09:38, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I believe this is a misunderstanding. I answered that I did not know much about it, and so the person who wants the check done (you, Uppland) should talk to Jhs about it directly. The details, I think the two of you should sort out. // Habj 09:55, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Features and admins.[edit]

Thanks for doing that. RoyBoy would normally write this article, but I'm sure he'll enjoy a week's break :) Ral315 (talk) 22:01, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki[edit]

Whoah, that was some interwiki list from your user page! Do you have accounts at all the wikipedias there is? // Habj 23:49, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep. Makes it easier to fight vandalism on small Wikipedias in no time. Jon Harald Søby 19:20, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Hello Jon Harald Søby, and thanks for supporting me on my recent request for adminship! It has succeeded with an unanimous support of 67 votes, so that I am now an administrator. Please feel free to leave a note on my talk page should you wish to leave any comments or ask for any help. Again, thanks a lot, AndyZ t 21:52, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changed name[edit]

Thanks for moving the Userpage after my namechange. Could you also somehow move my subpages. I have lost all my talk page archives because of it. The Gerg 16:07, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Queen WikiProject[edit]

Thank you for joining the Queen WikiProject, We hope to get this project up after Queen (band) becomes a featured article, Sorry it took so long. If you have any questions you can leave them on the QueenWikiproject talk page. - Mtmtmt 17:34, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

#wiktionary-en-vandalism[edit]

I believe it was you who pmed me on irc. How can I help? (fastest way to get a response is responding on my en.wiki talk page. :) ) --Cat out 00:40, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I found out – I was just wondering why Vildricanus, an admin, was blacklisted by the bot. The reason was a self-block due to a wiki-break; Connel MacKenzie was able to whitelist him. Jon Harald Søby 09:35, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Favorite Songs[edit]

My survey has changed. I am now continuing my mission for the best songs, but now I am accepting all genres. I'm giving you a chance to revote for your top ten favorite songs of any genres (not just classic rock which is still the best). I've made a executive decision to keep the existing survey results and just add on to that with the new entries. My feeling for doing this is because classic rock is the most influential genre in music currently so it should be expressed more in the survey. Thank you for contributing in the past, and hopefully in the future. ROCK ON. RENTASTRAWBERRY FOR LET? röck 03:33, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Vandalism on my user page[edit]

Thanks! :) Subtle vandalism like that is the funniest! --james // bornhj (talk) 05:23, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ICRC move/creation[edit]

Hello Jon, for the past few months I've been writing a new International Committee of the Red Cross article. I'm finally satisfied enough to propose its move into the main namespace, though it's far from perfect. That article is at User:Draeco/ICRC, and I've proposed a move here. I hope you can take the time to give your opinion, because I see you've commented on the subject before. - Draeco 18:00, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

San Sebastian Church[edit]

Hi! I have just seen that you have added San Sebastian Church to list of Main Gothic Structures in the article Gothic architecture. This important church, listed as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO is not Gothic, but Neo-Gothic of Gothic Revival, for being enterely constructed in the 19th century. I already added it to the list of Gothic Revival Structures in this Wikipedia some weeks ago. See you!--Garcilaso 12:57, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I only added this, to show that the Norwegian equivalent of the article is featured. Jon Harald Søby 16:48, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wooops! Sorry for the mistake. Cheers!--Garcilaso 08:20, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User:RadioKirk at Wikispecies[edit]

I just wanted to let you know that this username you blocked at Wikispecies is an impersonator of User:RadioKirk. -- ADNghiem501 07:19, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, I figured it wasn't him when I saw that the Wikipedia user is an admin. Jon Harald Søby 20:13, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 FARC[edit]

Hi there—Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 is currently on the Featured Article Removal list. Attempts to improve the article since its nomination for FA Review have been insufficient, by consensus.
I note that you have contributed to the article, and I wonder whether you're able to assist at this crucial stage. It would be a pity if the article were no longer featured after all of the work that was put into having it promited. Tony 05:44, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
