Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! March 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Matt dailey. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. I have nominated Matt dailey, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Matt dailey. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Codf1977 (talk) 18:26, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Matthew J. Dailey[edit]

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Matthew J. Dailey. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Matt dailey. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Matt dailey - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Codf1977 (talk) 18:29, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You posted at Talk:Matthew J. Dailey, and I replied there, but since it is unlikely that page will survive for long, I thought I would copy your post and my reply here for your information:

Why should this be deleted. I made the page on Matt dailey, and it was flagged. So I figured I would make it it's own page. This page is important. It is going to be a key cog for my client's run for Belleville, IL City Council. He will be the youngest council member ever elected, and we are going to use this page as a central hub for his election. It is a page about him and his campaign. As the campaign continues, we will continue to edit this page with his contributions, his stands, and updates.

Do not remove this page. If you do, I'll more than likely continue posting it until it stays up. His picture is coming, I just need to reach the picture uploading requirements before I can post his picture.

When you made the page on Matt dailey and it was tagged for deletion with specific reasons given, you should have heeded those reasons. Wikipedia is not here to "serve as a central hub" in your client's electoral efforts. (Please see WP:SPAM.) If you need a venue to advertise your client's campaign, there are any number of venues where you can do so, but not here. And threatening to "continue posting until it stays up" is pointless -- if you continue to recreate inappropriate pages, you will likely just get yourself blocked.
