[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Shatt al-Arab, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. - @Timothytyy Arabic cringing? Jón Rǫgnvaldr (talk) 17:33, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Shatt al-Arab. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. KylieTastic (talk) 14:19, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- @KylieTastic Do you know what Shatt al-Arab means? Jón Rǫgnvaldr (talk) 17:29, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Jón Rǫgnvaldr, no and that makes no difference to edits made on Wikipedia. We use the English common name for subjects (see WP:COMMONNAME). The article already states the Arabic name and the romanized version of that being "Arvand Rud" meaning "Swift River". It's not just the common English name but if you look at the other language Wikipedias here you'll see most are variants of the same. If you believe the name (pre our policies like WP:COMMONNAME part of Wikipedia:Article titles) should be moved to "Arvand Rud" you should open up a discussion on the existing article talk page. If consensus was reached then the article would be moved. However you not only changed the name but made it look just like vandalism as you broke templates, images and references. However as you have discussed here rather than asserting again I will assume good faith and have struck the warning. Please not that many subjects, especially not native English ones, have multiple names and thus we have to go by consensus. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 17:46, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- @KylieTastic why do you give wrong information to the people? Jón Rǫgnvaldr (talk) 17:50, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Shatt al-Arab. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 18:04, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Dudhhr At least I don't tell lies to people Jón Rǫgnvaldr (talk) 18:07, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to assume bad faith when dealing with other editors, as you did at User talk:Jón Rǫgnvaldr, you may be blocked from editing. Assume that they are here to improve rather than harm Wikipedia. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 18:09, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. TylerBurden (talk) 06:54, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
