How's it going?

Wow, I didn't know you were editing recently! Welcome back (for as active as you can be). I've been surprised how things have gone on here since I first started, and the way that WP:FILM has changed (in many ways for the better). I started working recently, so I have less time to contribute in already too many areas. I've got several projects I'm working on as always, so I'm pretty sure I'll be attached to Wikipedia forever! As always, if you ever need help with anything, my talk page is open. Hopefully you continue to stick around being as active as you can, you've been a great asset for Wikipedia! --Happy editing! thanks!

I receive your accolade with my usual thought -- the giver deserves this more than the recipient. --Nemonoman (talk) 16:17, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

IP user

Since the user has only vandalized once since their last block expired, there really isn't any criteria to report it under in regards to its recent actions. However, since it has 5 blocks, it would be appropriate to report the IP user to abuse response. Abuse response will investigate the IP user, create a comprehensive report, and then forward it to the responsible organization for them to talk action - hopefully ending the abuse.

I've looked up WHOIS information on that IP number and confirmed that it is indeed registered to the Australian government. It's most likely registered to an educational institution. Netalarmtalk 20:55, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

I thought I'd respond since I saw your message :) It looks like it will be annoying given the lack of some of the contact info we usually have but there is enough to go on. :) Thanks for the notes, in general just so you know you don't need a checkuser to figure out most of this stuff their main use is checking the ips of logged in users when there is an abuse problem.Jamesofur (talk) 21:33, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Hoverfish you know you are being less than truthful about Brendan123 on the Meher Baba discussion page. You still have not given the IP address of Brendan123. It suits you to foster the insinuation I am Brendan123 Which is a lie.. You do this because it deflects heat off your editing process and your cronyism. I have not disguised at all I used Southern Health to post a few pieces. I put my name on them. Johnathon posted once or twice, and no edits or reverts, but only in response to your very rude insinuation. You are quite a few things Baba described, none of them positive attributes. You must be a young soul and thats OK, but try to be more honest. You dont even entertain the fact someone called Johnathon could have posted once, then again both times in response to your rudeness. No you know 100%. How I wonder. Are you a God? I have yet to see evidence the so called Brendan123 incident came from Southern health. Even if he did you make me responsibel for 3000 odd computers in that network. Why? I think you lack the courage to be more open minded . In fact you remind me of a child. --Jones.liam (talk) 04:23, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

You are the last person I would take insult from as well as moral points, especially about what Baba said. I play fair and only fair and I have said everything clearly and as I have done it to the last detail. The only thing you can accuse me is of suspecting you. You have given me every reason to do so. Now quit using my talk page. Enough is enough. I will remove any future comments of yours here. Hoverfish Talk 04:33, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

You've been on my talk page. Thats what they are for. Talking, discussing. What do you expect, silence? Its unfortunate I have to come here to bring this up, but your unsubstantiated abuse report made me. False allegations must be resisted. I will quit using this talk page immediately you stop making unsubstantiated allegations and filing abuse reports and withdraw that false allegation. I concede you may have made a mistake but I truly dislike people who smear. Mud sticks as they say. You know I am not Brendan123 and you refuse to give out the IP address he used which I find very unhelpful --Jones.liam (talk) 03:23, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Retire

Sorry for that, I'll remove the semi-retired template from my pages xP. I was planning to semi-retire due to school, and I am kinda retired, but I still come on on weekends to handle some tasks. Netalarmtalk 20:58, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Welcome

Hello, wow haven't spoken to you in 2 and a half years! How are you these days? Fraid I barely ever edit film articles or create stubs anymore. I'm no longer a member of the film project... Himalayan 13:04, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh that's right, you're originally from Greece if I remember correctly. Montevideo, Uruguay? Wow that's quite some move. User:Lugnuts has taken over much of the stubbing work I used to do on films and actors and is doing a great job on world films. The coverage for Polish and Mexican film though is still relatively very poor much like it has always been but it is gradually getting better. Best regards! Himalayan 20:28, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Meher Baba

Sorry for the delay, I'm actually working now, so I'm kind of absent during the day. If a user continually uses a talk page to write about their thoughts on Wikipedia or other editors (or focus on other topics) rather than for improving the article (the intention of a talk page), then the user should be reminded of this fact. Usually editors stop after a notice from another editor. If the user really wants to help the article, they'll focus on what is required to improve it. Opinions can be better spent on user pages, user talk pages, essays, etc. A However, if the off-topic discussions and/or attempts to prevent progress becomes an issue, as a last resort, ANI can be used if all warnings are ignored. Hopefully, this doesn't occur, and as long as you continue to remain civil, and point out that the main focus is to improve the article, this is usually resolved. If this continues, let me know, and I'll weigh in. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 04:48, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

That's good to hear. Let us know if it relapses, so the cycle doesn't repeat. Enjoy the rest of your week. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 04:56, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your message! I didn't realise that I was reverting an admin's change until afterwards, but I stand by my point...forget the fine details of the other issue, but yes, it didn't relate to MB himself, but it was under the "legacy" section, along with Pete Townshend, for memory - I think she is as relevant as he is, and has a point of view about legacy. The argument (which was made in that debate) that she was just an obscure nobody, not worth mentioning - well, that's not credible. Anyway, thanks again --Rosabibi (talk) 11:26, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Sorry for the slow reply to your note about this (which I found when browsing random articles). I see it has been updated, and may have further to go, which is great. Thanks for your interest. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 15:49, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Greek museums

If you check my DYK list on my use rpage you'll see that actually I have expanded a fair few and it is on my priority list to expand. The stubs were oroginally generated from a missing "notable list" but I was aware some of them were dubious as I already deleted a few of them. If you are 'certain none of those exist or can be expanded I am happy for you to delete them but some help in fleshing out the remain articles which can be expanded would be nice. To be honest I'd anticpated somebody else would have showed an interest in them before now as Greek museums are not really an obscure topic. Thanks. Himalayan 17:47, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Well really more of these stubs should have developed by now. I'd have thought WP:Greece would have got into them. They've expanded a few but most remain as shockingly short as when they were started... I'm ploughing through archaeological museums at the moment but there is a tremndous amount of work to do everywhere. Articles like Naqa were originally one liners too. Its always best when a few people work together I think like I have been doing recently with Tibetan Buddhist monastery articles. Himalayan 18:47, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Yeah some of them appear to be only small collections or were temporary etc. It shouldn't be too hard working out which is which.. By the looks of it you've found most of the bad eggs. User:Star M (Travelling Cari) I thought might have also been working on them... Himalayan 19:02, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Reading your comments to Cari. Yes the Blofeld stubs were partly a success, partly a failure. Hit and miss depending on traffic and interest. Sometimes surprisingly articles on 1911 Austrial silent films like Der Müller und sein Kind got expanded and Xinjiang Medical University etc. I've seen many stubs expanded into B-GA class articles now but most of the similar basic stubs that still remain could be expanded by anybody within minutes. I wouldn't recommend creating them in the way the Greek museum articles were started again but most of Blofeld's stubs were about notable topics and wer emostly a step in the right direction evne if it means a lot of work needed to build upon them. Speedy deletion declined: Museum of Lassanis Mansion

Hello Hoverfish, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Museum of Lassanis Mansion - a page you tagged - because: Contains sufficient content to be a stub. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. ϢereSpielChequers 17:58, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Museum speedies

I'm in the process of declining a bunch of your museum speedy requests, as they are all perfectly valid stubs. If you think the articles should still be deleted because they will never expand beyond stubs, AfD would be the way to go. Cheers! --Fabrictramp | talk to me 23:53, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for identifying the bad eggs. Don't waste time adding prod tags though, just ask me and I'll db-author them. I see you have run into some difficulties from people who want to keep them but I am happy to delete the non notable or non verifiable ones that can't be expanded. Thanks for taking the time to sort these outh and for your much appreciated photos! Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:41, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

No worries mate. I purposefully left Hippocratic Museum: as intuition told me it was linked to something notable, a redirect would be quite appropriate to an article about the foundation.... Dr. Blofeld White cat 20:40, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

WP Uruguay Revival

Hello dearest Hoverfish. What exactly did you mean with Uruguay. I had no idea what you were talking about? You want help reorganizing categories or articles or something or what?♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:35, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Oh OK, what's the interest in Montevideo?♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:01, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Ah, so what brings you down there? Aren't you originally from Greece? Do you speak SPanish fluently? I'd be happy to collaborate over a few Uruguay articles...♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:17, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Excellente amigo. Los museos de Uruguay son muy interesante. Saludos! I should spend more time learning SPanish too me thinks.♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:59, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Re: Effort to revive WP Uruguay

Hi, Hoverfish. I'm glad to see that you want to revive WP Uruguay. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to edit due to other responsibilities I have in real life. However, if I can do anything, whatever it may be, count with me. I really appreciate your interest in Uruguay. Regards, --Góngora (Talk) 19:37, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Greetings. I can help ou revive WP:Uruguay if you like but can't promise much... Ever been to Termas del Arapey?♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:43, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Yeah we certainly lack numbers. Funnily enough WP:Albania was the last country to gain "independence" from WikiProject Europe and is now actually one of the most active country projects on wikipedia now that we have five or so consistently active content contributors who often work together, myself included. Albanian articles have come on leaps and bounds recently but still a long way off achieving the quality we want. In the wiki dark ages it was just me churning out stub after stub for ALbanian topics, its good to see we now have some decent contributors to expand on what I started. Yep, I've covered as many topics as I possibly can on here, most need more people to built upon them. I can't literally do everything and write every article! like with those Greek museums I started them inthe belief that they would be expanded but it didn't work. Other stubs I've created which I didn't think would be very successful like Xinjiang Medical University etc have developed.. Its pretty much hit and miss. The problem is that we not only have too many poor quality articles for countries like Uruguay but we are missing a huge number of notable articles in all fields. Its difficult to know where to begin. By main focus at the moment though is on Burmese topics. Chec kout Kutkai and George J. Geis for instance which were entirely missing.. Yesterday Kanmaw Island was started, at least I can now make some maps using those tools which I could never do before... ♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:16, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Name a map of an area you want and I'll take you through it. How about a pushpin map for a Greek Island for starters. Name one you want a map for. How about a street map of various cales for Montevideo to pin buildings on?♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:37, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Try this new article. Note the map I made.. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:07, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I've invited my friend Rosie to also help, would be nice to have a DYK on such an important landmark. No rush though we have at leats a week to nurture it. I made the map assuming we had an article on it!! Boy, the Uruguay wiki situation is really bad.... ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:13, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Made another map Old Town, Montevideo. If I have time I may do the same for every bariro of the city and start the articles.. If you want to display buildinggs on it I wrote down the coordinates to make a Template:Location map Uruguay Montevideo Old Town if you want it. I think I'll make a general Template:Location map Uruguay Montevideo shortly anyway for articles on buildings..♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:54, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

If you have anything to add to Parque Batlle please do. If not, I'll nom it for DYK anyway..♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:26, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

No rush, we have at least a week before the nom becomes invalid anyway... Regards.♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:31, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

[Better?Dr. Blofeld 19:31, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Howz your Spanish? I've begun a big translation of Montevideo at Wikipedia:WikiProject Uruguay/Montevideo. Can you help me translate it? It may take a week to fully translate or longer and fully write. It doesn't need to be done immediately and can be gradual... Once the translation is done it can further be expanded, there must be a wealth of sources on it. I'll also invite a few more Spanish translators to help so between us we ought to be able to accomplish it..♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:43, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Can you begin translating the Etymology at the beginning and the history or whatever you fancy. When you've finished your "session" let me know and I'll start my translating session. I've asked a few Spanish translators to help. once the translation is complete I antipicate working on its with Nvvchar if he is insterested to add more text for a x5 expansion. There should be a wealth of sources on Montevideo.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:50, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Excellent. I've also done a few sections so far. Actually I don't think it will take as long as I anticipated. If you can try and sort out the history and merge it once trnaslated over the next few days i'll work on the rest of which, hopefully with some help from the others.. Once translated it can then be expanded further, covering numerous topics like museums etc to make it comprehensive. Maybe not as much effort as went into Kathmandu and Thimphu but we can try...♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:49, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

I thought you had admin tools? Sure, I'll ask.♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:19, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

I've stubbed the neighborhoods but some need merging as we have 78 articles when there should only be 59.. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:21, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Excellent. Much appreciate your help. I think we have to make it around 140kb to qualify as a x5 expansion to appear on the front page as a DYK which should be manageable... Its on 95kb currently but a lot of sections need to be written and made comprehensive. I'll also add a section on the cemeteries...♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:00, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

UK english please. I hate theatre spelt as Theater! and centre as center. Admittedly I've got into the habit of mostly using American english on here...♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:55, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

LOL I hadn't thought of that one., SPECTER... If nobody has trnalsated it by tomorrow can you make a start on translating the sports and transport sections? Excellent job on the history section. I just looked in Economy of Uruguay to see if I could steal comething but the article surprise surprise is in shocking state..♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:26, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Well it would be good for that info to be transated into the economy article but most of it I think is not relevant to the city. Ive added the main banks and that though. The claim of its being the "Switzerland of Americas" really needs citations though! I'll have a look tomorrow, i should be able to compile something. Article is starting the take shape. It needs an injection of quality and sources and chunky text to balance it out and we should really get rid of the red links by stubbing the articles!♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:38, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

LOL I'd like the find a country in the current economic climate where the banks are actually fully in order and thriving.... I've stubbed Civic-military dictatorship of Uruguay (1973-1985), that can be expanded in a week or two when this article is fully finished..♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:46, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

What I'm doing at the moment is "juicing". I scout for information/topics and bloat it out. Then the relevant points are extracted and it is translated and condensed to make it a comprehensive article.♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:05, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks mate! You're doing great work. Yeah LOL well the idea is not to include all of it LOL!! A lot of it really need shortening but the amterial is good we may as well split into seperate article and condense in the main article me thinks. Look, I'm going to take a day or so away from wikipedia as two messages i've received this morning have made me extremely angry and I'm verging on being blocked so I need to cool off. IMagine somebody reverting our new verison of the montevideo article to the old one like they did with Lhasa and you'll partly why.. PRC POV pushers trying to conceal Tibetan identity. I had fully intended to write the articlecondense the architecture sections and promote to GA like Sera Monastery. Now look at the state of it.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:47, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Yep, I live on the outskirts of Barry. Well remembered! Right I've reverted their edits and condensed the Lhasa article. Needs a lot of work in due course much like the Montevideo article... I'll return in a few hours when I'm feel a little cooler! good luck with the hospital!12:31, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Hey. I've moved the hospitals into Wikipedia:WikiProject Uruguay/Montevideo hospitals. Once trnaslated they can be started as articles and then asummary of them all can be written in. OK?♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:20, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Don't worry, that sort of thing happens every 4 or 5 months. Somebody vicious and insulting or a POV pusher come along and try to ruin things, you get angry with them and you end up paying for it and them going free. Such is the wikipedia administration. One of these days nobody will unblock me form a set pseriod and they'll learn that I'm deadly serious about no longer contributing. It is the fact that a lot of people can generally see that a block for me is pointless that it is removed. If you stick around here for long enough I'm sure you'll enter some sort of dispute, although Uruguay us probably pretty safe on this front as you say. I've moved the article to the mainspace. Still a working progress though.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:50, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Hey amigo. Yup its looking better. Still needs more decent sources and some cleanup in parts. Can you help add sources to the sparse areas?♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:08, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

OK. This is what needs doing. First two paragraphs of geography needed some sources and if possible a bit more text. Nearest towns by road etc. Intendencia Municipal is sunourced it needs two or so sources. Economy section is unsourced, references to officla sites like ANTEL etc would be a good idea, Tourism needs some expansion as does retial and sources, Landmarks and architecture intro is unsourced, needs three or so sources, WTC unsourced needs cleanup, Parque Rodo needs an injection of quality and needs rewriting with two or three solid sources, Fortaleze del Cerro need sa source, Rambla section needs improving with some sources, it reads like a tourist guide right now, education sections unsourced, references need to official site or whatever, media section needs expanidng. What about TV? ♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:32, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

If search either of these you'll find a lot of images that can be used on here or your site although you probably like taking your own .

Dr. Blofeld 18:47, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

You all have done an excellent job with it so far; I might do a little copy-editing in places, just to make sure there's some better flow to the prose, but that'll be about it. It looks quite good as it is. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 22:13, 19 November 2010 (UTC) Indeed - he's the reason I got kick-started into creating some of those missing Antarctica articles. Please put the pin map back and the map back to the geography section where it belongs. It looks weird at the top... It was fine as it was...♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:47, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Cool. It was Material Scientist who did it I think.... Looks a bit odd in my view. But then I've been used to seeing it in the preivous layout. Keep up the good work on it!♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:04, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

I'm haivng a quiet day on here today I've just been jamming along to Marion Meadows and Lee Ritenour.. on the classical guitar.♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:12, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Looks fine to me amigo. As far as I am aware that's why the barrios are numbered, to match those on the map...♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:42, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Oh I see, I thought you meant the barrio maps. Well I thought it would be good to have a map of say Parque Battle. Maybe remove the other maps? up to you, I don't mind!!♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:06, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Yeah its definatley needs a rewrite and new sources. For education if you just cite the schools to their official websites this should be fine. I can see what Material Scientist was getting at with removing some images. i usually use firefox with a custom posh font, my own enlargened font size and altered image settings so it looked perfectly fine on my computer but I'm currently looking at it on the horrible standard tiny arial font on safari browser and the images would have been all haphazard. Gosh, I really don't know how the vast majority of users can enjoy reading the encyclopedia with a tiny ariel placid font and can edit that way....♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:55, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

OK, give me 15 minutes or so. I'll try to add something myself if I can find some sources.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:47, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Yeah I figured as much. But you really know the city unlike myself. You should state that Montevideo is not exactly renowned for its restaurants..♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:41, 22 November 2010 (UTC) Looks like we have a future GA candidate given the attention the article receving! Cna you take a photograph of the Arcadia or El Fogon restaurants?♦ Dr. Blofeld 23:11, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Can you find some sources to support the education section?♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:48, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Agreed. There should be some info on how many primary and secondary schools there are in Montevideo etc...♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:38, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Excellent. Photograph lots and we'll probably see them appearing in multiple articles in the not so distant future..♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:53, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Excellent pics Hoverifhs. Thanks! They look great in the article. I've had trouble getting on here this evening. But great job mate!♦ Dr. Blofeld 22:33, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Please do not over write one project in order to add another. Your edit to include the article in WikiProject Uruguay overwrote WikiProject Energy. Ng.j (talk) 19:34, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

I added a shell and reinserted WikiProject Energy in order to include both. I assumed your original edit was in good faith. Ng.j (talk) 19:39, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject importance

Hi, I'm not aware of any guidelines on WikiProject importance ranking, never mind rules (though with the scale and constant evolution of Wikipedia you never know what you're missing). My feeling on what should be considered Top or High comes partly from my experience on Category:Venezuela articles by importance, and partly from looking at articles included in country-level topics templates (compare Template:Latin America topic templates). I've tried to introduce a little consistency across key Latin America articles, so they're ranked top or high and therefore get appropriate visibility. I've used low for articles that are pretty low notability (exhibit A: minor Venezuelan beauty pageant contestants), and kept "mid" for more significant articles that are a bit more limited in focus. Basically, browse some of the other countries, and see what you think.

If you wanted to, you could get a bot to tag pages automatically (see here), but this does create a ton of work to check and add assessments/importance rankings, and I think the most important thing is to get Top and High importance articles tagged correctly (where they exist), to help give them slightly more priority. So I've been trying to do that for Latin American countries, and I've done most of them. But of course you're welcome reassess anything. My philosophy, FWIW, has been that it's better to put an article an importance ranking too high if you're not sure, since then it'll get slightly more attention and can be downgraded later. PS I see the WP:Uruguay page doesn't use a lot of the tools and so on which you can see eg at WP:VEN; if you'd like me to add them, just let me know. Rd232 talk 16:08, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Hey. Nono, quite accidental. Too many external links is frowned upon, I hadn't realised I had removed your website which is definately a useful site as it is in english on Montevideo, rare. So by all means please restore!♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:13, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Congrats to you as a member of the Montevideo team who contributed richly to building the above two articles. The two articles together got more than 34400 hits here. -- N.V.V. Char Talk . 04:37, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Can I coax the Hoverfish to move into new waters and help translate/improve 1973 Uruguayan coup d'état and Port of Montevideo?♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:39, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

I've started Category:Hospitals in Montevideo. I'll leave you to start the Italian hopsital seems as you;ve done well translating it!♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:50, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Out of curiosity which language package do you use?♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:45, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

An automated translation. In the old days babel fish and systran soft were the only translation programs we had and often produced poor translations. Thankfully google translate is far superior but still produces some very awkward translations. I just checked the spanish wiki article on google translate and it worded half the article very strangely... Should be fixed now. Thanks!♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:55, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject_Hospitals

Since you are tagging a lot of hospital articles for WP:Uruguay, would you mind adding {{WikiProject_Hospitals}} as well? Thanks! Ng.j (talk) 18:35, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

{{Hospitals_Invite}} Ng.j (talk) 18:49, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Done tagging. Sorry, too busy with WP Uruguay to join Hospitals.Hoverfish Talk 18:56, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

"DEPARTAMENTO DE GENETICA MEDICA" looks to be the Department of Genetics. I will go through your list of edits and revert any assessments you may have overwritten. Please copy the original template if you are tagging. Thanks! Ng.j (talk) 19:35, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

I see you already corrected the assessments, thanks! I'm looking for support for WP:Hospitals, even if you only work on the hospital articles in Uruguay it would help a lot. Right now it is only my name on the list. Ng.j (talk) 19:43, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Very good job Mr. Fish. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:58, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

What part of the city do you live? Is it possible you could take photos of the other hospitals? LOL half of them are around Parque Battle!♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:09, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Well done!♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:34, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Impressive! I look forward to seeing them! Have a good day, its 'f-f-f-r-e-e-z-i-n' here today..10:42, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Oh, can you also take some photos of some of the major avenues I want to start some articles on some major streets..?♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:45, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Yeah it feels probably colder... Yes for avenues I think the best thing would be to do it while on the road. Maybe if you are stopped at a junction or something take a photo from out the window or something!!! Or if there is central section of the road maybe walk across to it? DUnno, I'm sure you'll find a way, careufl of the traffic though LOL! I don't the hoverfish becoming lunch!♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:59, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Excellent!! Really appreciate it. Hospital Vilardebó is like 1000 times more beautiful than I'd imagined. I'd expected a dilapidated old building in the style Sully Hospital a mental hospital in my county..♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:43, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Not sure about copyright law in Uruguay, perhaps ask User:Calliopejen1 to investigate? I know photographs in Argentina become public domain 20 years after being taken..♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:19, 1 December 2010 (UTC) HI. I always go by what it actually says on the building. In this case its Museo Torres García so I think that is what it should be...♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:26, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Language barrier is always tough, like Chateau and Castle. For article names I generally look in prominent english language sources on it. If it is frequently called Palacio ... in a source in english then it should be Palacio.... especially if the name appears on the building. Thats why I moved the British Hospital to english as the name on the hospital is in english and it is talked of as the British hospital in many sources.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:51, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Well it would look weird if you changed the category to Category:Palacios de Uruguay or Category Palacios in Uruguay wouldn't it?. Maybe change it to Houses in Montevideo, or Manor houses in Uruguay or whatever then? Make no mistake, categories sould generally be in english I think...♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:06, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Rather interesting actually writing 1924 in jazz.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:51, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

In that case a Category:Villas in Uruguay would be perfectly fine I think. It could be a sub category of Palaces in Uruguay..♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:11, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Infoboxes

Hi there! Good work on adding all of those infoboxes, it really makes the articles better. I do have a few suggestions for you though:

  1. It is best to use the infobox template directly from the source, as some copied versions may be missing some fields. See {{Infobox hospital}} for example.
  2. Leave invisible comments, as it will help future editors and other who may copy-paste into other articles.
  3. I noticed that most of your edits are marked as minor, which may be a cause for concern. The rule of thumb is that edits consisting solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content should be flagged as minor edits, per Help:Minor_edit.

Please consider joining {{WikiProject_Hospitals}} again, if only to have you as the "expert" on hospitals in Uruguay. Keep up the good work! Ng.j (talk) 01:26, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
