Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Len Fasano, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PDCook (talk) 17:52, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Michael fedele.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Michael fedele.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 05:33, 15 February 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 05:33, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Kleen energy power plant.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Kleen energy power plant.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.  fetchcomms 00:53, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not replace freely licensed images with unfree fair use images[edit]

Your edit to Best Buy on February 25, 2010 has been reverted. Wikipedia policy favors using freely licensed images as much as possible, so that Wikipedia content can be easily repurposed in as many media as possible and in as many countries as possible. By freely licensed, I mean images that have been released under a license like the GFDL or the Creative Commons license, or released into the public domain. Wikipedia policy also favors using high resolution photos over lower-resolution photos, because one of Wikipedia's long-term goals is to distribute versions on paper for people in poor countries with minimal computer access. High-resolution photos look better on paper at 300 to 600 dpi (keep in mind most monitors support only 72 dpi).

If you continue to replace other editors' freely licensed, high-res images with unfree low-res images (like the copyrighted image you stole from the Best Buy Web site), all your edits will be reverted as intentional vandalism and you will be banned from Wikipedia permanently. Conduct yourself accordingly. Thank you for your attention. --Coolcaesar (talk) 20:21, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Best buy north haven.jpg.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Best buy north haven.jpg.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=DASHBot}} to your talk page.

Fair use rationale for File:DQ North haven.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:DQ North haven.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 19:02, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Dark Knight movie massacre[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Dark Knight movie massacre. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - 2012_Aurora_shooting. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2012_Aurora_shooting - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. --IShadowed 22:21, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

September 2014[edit]

Please refrain from making nonconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your hoax edits to Quinnipiac River, North Haven, Connecticut and List of American Revolutionary War battles, based on the hoax article Battle of Green Marsh which you created, constitute vandalism and have been reverted.
