Instant-runoff voting[edit]

I see that you're a Bernie and Jill supporter, which indicates to me that you would support fair voting reform. The Wikipage: Instant-runoff voting.

For the group fighting for it, check out: http://www.FairVote.org.

To see why it's necessary, check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqblOq8BmgM.

It's supported by the Green Party: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eb7MQ7da6sg.

  • Post a sign in your front yard that says, "The USA needs Instant-Runoff Voting!"

I already support instant-runoff voting for races that can only have one winner (e.g. president and vice president). For legislative races, I prefer the single transferable vote, approval voting, range voting, or perhaps mixed-member proportional representation with one of the above for the constituency component, as IRV has a known tendency to produce two-party systems. Request reason:

Caught by a web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 104.238.59.226. This is not a webhost but instead an ExpressVPN server, which company I patronize for the purpose of privacy from my ISP and other spying eyes. Hàlian (talk) 00:49, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It is not normally permitted to use a VPN to edit(as vandals and spammers use them to evade detection and blocking), however if you have need to do so, you will need to follow the instructions at WP:IPECPROXY. 331dot (talk) 09:37, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

File:Creekstopsign.png[edit]

That file is on Commons, you'll need to nominate it for deletion at c:File:Creekstopsign.png Nominating it for CSD on the English Wikipedia just makes a description page with no file attached. Cyrius| 20:59, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out; I'm not sure how to do that, though, and can't even find anything about speedy deletion there. x_x Hàlian (talk) 21:20, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Hàlian (talk) 21:23, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That means "コーヒー" (coffee) in Japanese should be written as "珈琲" via ateji. But no one writes like that. For the same reason, even though "글" can be written as "㐎", but no one writes it like that. This topic can be difficult if you don't know much about sinogram. Dubukimchi (talk) 09:30, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
