Hi there

Just a query. Should Saltdean, England be separated? Please see revisions. I thought separated. User:HelpingWorld thinks not. May I ask your thoughts on this, please? Having looked at many other missing people articles, I can see that the town is nearly always separated from the Country. Paragraph in question is below.

Owen Harding disappeared at the age of 16 from Saltdean, England, where he lived.[1] Nothing has been heard from him since his disappearance.[2][3] — Preceding unsigned comment added by BrownieFudgeLawyer (talkcontribs) 00:50, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

@BrownieFudgeLawyer: It's kind of a vague area that is generally left to editor discretion. I don't think that it really matters one way or the other. ––FormalDude talk 01:12, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

You moved disputed content, noting the talk page dispute in your edit summary [1], but then removed the POV tag even though the RSN discussion you called for [2] is still open and the issue has not been resolved. Please don't remove the POV tag till the issue has been resolved. Thanks. LondonIP (talk) 00:55, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

WP:AFC Helper News

Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.

  • AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
  • The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.

Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Question from DerekAP (15:37, 16 February 2022)

Hi FormalDude - Thanks for being a mentor. I have only been editing for less than a month. I wanted to update/correct an article 'Photolith film'. It relates to a field I worked in for many years, so I was keen that there should be a correct record. All was going well. I decided to retitle (move) the article, as Photolith is not a term used by either users or manufacturers of these materials. Now Praxidicae has appeared on the scene and reversed all my actions. Saying that we do things by consensus. Sounds good... but how do we do that? --DerekAP (talk) 15:37, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Hi @DerekAP, thanks for leaving a message here. Starting editing can be extremely difficult, in regards to Photolith film, the article lacks reliable sources to support much of the information that you added. Verifiability is a an integral part of Wikipedia, and as such, Wikipedia does not accept original research. While I would agree with Praxidicae that there are issues that needs to be addressed in your edits, there are still parts that can likely be reworked and included if the writing style, tone and other policies mentioned before are improved. Regarding the page move, do you have any sources that suggest that the common name is the one that you are proposing? If you have any more questions, feel free to post them below or on my talk page, thanks! Justiyaya 06:05, 20 February 2022 (UTC)

Features for new users coming soon (and mentors, like you, wanted!)

Hello. As you're currently listed as a host at the Teahouse, I wanted to make sure you're aware of the imminent rollout of new Growth Team Features which every new account will be getting by default. Each users will soon see a new 'Homepage' tab next to their User page. It contains two main elements which might impact on your involvement - and you'd be welcome to get involved and help out directly with one of them.

  • Firstly, they will be offered a range of 'suggested edits', and encouraged to make simple improvements to pages that interest them. (Being aware of this feature would be helpful for all Teahouse hosts if you're likely to offer advice on tasks for them to start out doing.)
  • There's also a 'Your impact' box to show them how many people have seen the pages they've just edited.
  • Finally, each new user is randomly assigned a 'mentor' from a list of friendly, experienced editors, like yourself. If they get stuck, they can ask a question directly to them via a Your mentor box, and hopefully get a swift, friendly answer from that mentor. Currently, this feature is given to 2% of new users, but it's set to increase to around 10% in the very near future.

To spread the load on our current list of around 65 mentors, I'm reaching out to ask if you'd like to help out and sign up as one? The workload is relatively small; User Panini! reports receiving four questions a month, on average, all of which were simple ones of the type we already get at the Teahouse, whilst I've had just one in the last 3 weeks. To view a list of every question asked of all mentors over the last 14 days, click here.

If becoming a mentor and being available to help new users on their first few days here interests you - just as have done at the Teahouse in the past - then please consider signing up at Growth Team features/Mentor list. But please only do so if you are genuinely willing to be available to help. Existing users can already 'opt-in' to seeing the Newcomer Homepage features via their Preferences.

Thank you! Nick Moyes (talk) 15:16, 25 February 2022 (UTC)

Russ George article & "Pynotic"

Hello! You may or may not remember me from about a month ago; I made a mistaken RfC about the state of the article on Russ George, which had been systematically edited by a single editor over the course of a few months to effectively create a new and very biased article. You quickly reverted all the edits. Well, he's been at it again. I'm really not sure what to do here. I would just revert it, but that would likely lead to an edit war, which I've heard tell is bad; so I don't have much of an idea of what to do here. Apparently you regularly revert vandalized content, so what would you suggest? Thanks from Generalissimo Store (talk) 04:08, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for your help with my first new article!

Thank you sir, the most formal of all of the dudes, for your help cleaning up references in Draft:Renegade Air, my first new wikipedia article.

I am adding it because in January, I spent like 30,000Ksh (~US$280) helping my girlfriend join me in Kisumu for a funeral using Kenya Airways and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, when if we'd only known about Renegade, it would have been tons more convenient and probably 20,000Ksh less.

Hopefully this is a start to making a lot of Kenyan pages more accurate.

I'll try and pay closer attention to standards for both constructing refs, and ensuring I have enough. Stay awesome!

New parameters for sidebar

I noticed how you were using the template and saw some issues. The image is not working very well because it's width defaults to 80px, which adds whitespace to the bottom (not what the ukrainian flag looks like). To fix this, I added a parameter called |image-param= which allows you to manually change the width or height of the image. According to WP:Extended Image Syntax, you can set the height of the image by setting |image-param= to x80px.

You might not have noticed, but all links in the bio section are lighter than normal links. I originally did this because the default background color is very dark and you couldn't see the links. To combat this, you can set a new parameter, |link-style= to color: unset which will remove the custom color and make the links look a little darker.

I'm thinking I'm going to completely rewrite the template so that it has two modes: one where it can appear like it does in discord, and one that doesn't have so many default values so that will be more customizable for people who want to use the template like yourself. I'll let you know if I end up doing this. Thanks, ― Levi_OPTalk 14:27, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

simon gerard notability

Hello FormalDude

I have done some additional research to find more citations for Draft:Simon Gerard. I have also improved the article to add more structure and substance to his page. Additionally, as he has been involved in numerous businesses, I believe that he is entitled to his own page, rather than being a subsection on other pages of Wikipedia.

He has been involved in a number of publicly listed Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), he has been mentioned, quoted or researched by numerous reputable and independent organisations, including the Australian Financial Review, news.com.au, Sydney Morning Herald, amongst others.

Closure at Jussie Smollett

You should revert you closure [3] at Talk:Jussie Smollett. If you have concerns about WP:MUGSHOT than voice your concerns in the discussion; don't shut down the discussion. This was a premature and ill-timed closing. Iamreallygoodatcheckers (talk) 03:19, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

@Iamreallygoodatcheckers: The discussion was going way off track and I believe a new thread needed to be started if there were any possible grounds for inclusion of the mugshot. ––FormalDude talk 03:25, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
This is not the best way of handling a content dispute. If you think a convo is going in the wrong direction, you try and set it straight. I really don't think this one was in the first place. Iamreallygoodatcheckers (talk) 03:38, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
This is a conversation that was directly undermining Wikipedia policy. And now someone who argued "I find it personally interesting" has reverted me. ––FormalDude talk 03:43, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
One editors comment does not undermine the whole thing. The discussion was regarding whether the image is relevant to the content, and in my opinion it is relevant because Smollett has been convicted and this is his mugshot from the conviction. Simple as that. You shouldn't shut it down over an issue that's non-existent. Iamreallygoodatcheckers (talk) 03:48, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
@Iamreallygoodatcheckers: Your opinion does not override WP:MUGSHOT. Simple as that. ––FormalDude talk 03:51, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
When I say "my opinion" I'm not saying my personal opinion. I'm giving my opinion on the dispute with regards to Wiki policy/guideline. Iamreallygoodatcheckers (talk) 03:55, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Read the policy:

Images of living persons should not be used out of context to present a person in a false or disparaging light. This is particularly important for police booking photographs (mugshots), or situations where the subject did not expect to be photographed. Any police photograph used to imply that the person depicted was charged with or convicted of a specific crime must be sourced to a top-quality reliable source with a widely acknowledged reputation for fact-checking and accuracy that links the relevant image to the specific incident or crime in question.

I'm genuinely confused what you're saying. You interpret the above text as mugshots only needing relevancy determined by Wikipedians in order to be included? ––FormalDude talk 04:00, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
"Images of living persons should not be used out of context to present a person in a false or disparaging light.' is what policy says. The image is not being used "out of context". The mugshot was used in the subsection pertaining to his conviction, which is the very definition of "context". You are reading policy incorrectly. Le Marteau (talk) 07:17, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Furthermore, you completely misread policy when you say, The mugshot cannot be included without a top-quality reliable source with a widely acknowledged reputation for fact-checking and accuracy that links the relevancy of the image to the specific incident, "Relevancy" simply means it is connected, and the Sheriff linked the image to the crime in question beyond a doubt. The publisher of the mugshot... the Sherriff of Cook County is the source of the relevancy, namely, that the mugshot is connected (i.e. "relevant") to the crime. Le Marteau (talk) 07:34, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
The Sheriff of Cook County is not a top-quality reliable source with a widely acknowledged reputation for fact-checking and accuracy. ––FormalDude talk 09:59, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Behavior at Jussie Smollett talk

You accused me of potentially civil POV pushing and not getting the point.[4] It's impossible for me to not get the point on an issue that remains to this second unsettled. That's why the discussion is in place. These accusations you made could amount to WP:Casting aspersions. You failed to address your concerns with my conduct with appropriate diffs and you didn't address them in the appropriate forum (my talk/AN). Please strike your comment as it is damaging to my reputation. Iamreallygoodatcheckers (talk) 04:03, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

@Iamreallygoodatcheckers: I'm happy to elaborate on my comment here if you'd like, but I will not be retracting it. ––FormalDude talk 04:08, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
You didn't address it in the appropriate forum, which would be my talk page. WP:Casting aspersions, which is a decision of Arbcom, says: If accusations must be made, they should be raised, with evidence, at appropriate forums such as the user talk page, WP:COIN, or other appropriate places per WP:COI. and If accusations must be made, they should be raised, with evidence, on the user-talk page of the editor they concern or in the appropriate forums. This is not what you did please strike your comment, and we can address your concerns appropriately. Otherwise, there could be a WP:AN visit. Iamreallygoodatcheckers (talk) 04:13, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
As I said, I'm not gonna strike it. I don't believe my comment is casting aspersions. ––FormalDude talk 05:14, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
@SPECIFICO: Would you like to explain how I violated the arbistration restrictions on a page with no arbitration restrictions? Iamreallygoodatcheckers (talk) 16:04, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi Iamreallygoodatcheckers, please know that BLP DS applies to "any edit in any article with biographical content relating to living or recently deceased people or any edit relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles on any page in any namespace". To the others here, AE would not be a good venue if a conduct dispute noticeboard is needed now, as Checkers was not formally aware of BLP DS until just now. Firefangledfeathers (talk | contribs) 16:26, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
Thanks featherperson. I believe Chex has been notified regarding Gender, American Politics, and other DS areas, but I do not recall when those notices were placed or how that notice requirement is currently enforced. Perhaps the notices need to be refreshed? SPECIFICO talk 16:48, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
featherperson?! I like it. With apologies to FormalDude for hijacking his user talk page: AP is good until this August, Gender is expired, Abortion is expired. I don't know which of those areas IARGAC still works on. Checkers, you may want to use Template:DS/aware to express your formal awareness of DS topic areas you're active in. Firefangledfeathers (talk | contribs) 17:18, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thank you for making those improvements re: the waste disposal site in Utah. Great work! Netherzone (talk) 05:18, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

I may need your help

FormalDude, I'm reaching out to you in view of our past discussions on articles about the LDS Church and its' leaders. I had previously mentioned that the Ulisess Soares article was subject to a deletion discussion and ultimately kept. I'm reaching out to you because some recent comments on the Church Growth blog which indicate that an active effort is now underway to delete the articles about former apostles who are now deceased. John Pack Lambert mentioned some specific articles on that thread that are being targeted, and on what grounds such proposals have been made. Since you've been willing to work with me on figuring out a way to establish notability for the general leaders of the Church, I wanted to see if you'd be able to help weigh in on this matter as someone who is not affiliated with the LDS Church, but who has provided valuable feedback on articles covering leaders and topics related to the Church. If you don't have the availability or time, it's not a problem. If nothing else, I at least wanted to ensure you were advised about this given your familiarity with the problem courtesy of our past discussions on that. --Jgstokes (talk) 21:11, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

@Jgstokes: Thank you very much for informing me. I do like to stay involved in LDS discussions around the project, and I was not aware of any deletion discussions. ––FormalDude talk 21:22, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
I have had to scale back my Wikipedia participation again in recent days due to two minor procedures I underwent. So when those articles were mentioned on the Church Growth Blog, it was a surprise to me as well. I would think that similar arguments that led to the Soares article being saved would have some bearing on the articles about now-deceased apostles and prophets. While I follow the articles about previous prophets, I've not been directly involved with any editing of or oversight for articles about now-deceased apostles, with a few more recent exceptions. So I've not viewed or weighed in on the discussions myself. And I might have to forgo doing so this time around. I've had a couple of very minor procedures in recent days, so my usual time on Wikipedia caved to a focus on recovery. I thought that, given your administrative knowledge, you'd be in a better position than I would to weigh in on this. At some point, whenever life slows down a bit (which will hopefully be soon) I can recommit to more Wikipedia time, including getting back to drafting the guidelines we've discussed. Things have been a little crazy, but hopefully all of it is necessary to figure out before I get back to anything approaching normal. I'm sure your insights and perspective would be more valuable than mine would on those discussions. Thanks again. --Jgstokes (talk) 21:46, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
@Jgstokes: I weighed in on the Mark E. Petersen AfD–is that the only one, or are there others being discussed as well?
As always, thanks for the kind words (I wouldn't say my perspective is more valuable than yours though! They're at least equal 😄). I'm glad you're taking time for yourself and hope good health for you. ––FormalDude talk 23:25, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
@FormalDude:: Thanks for your rapid response. I looked over the deletion discussion in question and the points you raised seemed to be the catalyst that saved the article. I only found out about the discussion in question because a complaint was raised about that discussion in the threads of the Church Growth Blog. JohnPackLambert was the one whose comment brought this to my attention. I don't have any solid information on whether any other articles about previous apostles are currently being targeted. But going through this list could yield results on potential deletion disucssions. I believe Marvin J. Ashton might have been another mentioned, but can't say for sure. I should perhaps have used different wording in my previous comment. My background of Wikipedia experience would likely qualify me to weigh in on these discussions, but I have not been able to provide in past discussions a solid policy-based reason to keep those articles. That goes back to the trouble we've had of proving that sources produced by the Church or its' affiliates are valid for inclusion on Wikipedia. Your argument about the newspaper site that provides wider coverage on individuals from multiple eligible sources could be what we've been missing all this time. My main reasons for staying out of such discussions for now, aside from the health-related ones, is that when those discussions previously took place, and the mass article deletions occurred, it was very frustrating that nothing I said could prevent those deletions. There's still quite a few sour memories when it comes to past attempts to save such articles. Someone like you, outside the umbrella of Church membership, who is well-versed in policy and who knows under what grounds such articles could potentially be saved, who also has administrative capabilities, would be better=positioned than I am to provide a neutral point of view when it comes to those discussions. Hope that clarifies what I was trying to convey in my last comment. If I hear of any other issues of this kind, I'd be happy to bring them to your attention, and hope you might do the same for me. Thanks again. --Jgstokes (talk) 00:58, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

Concerns

Dear FormalDude,

According to this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_cuisine, since last year, there were many reverts done (no matter how many attempts of removal of misinformation were done). It will be great you have a quick look over it.

Best Regards,

Chutinonp Chutinonp (talk) 03:20, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

@Chutinonp: I do see what you're talking about. It seems multiple editors have removed reliably sourced content without reason. You wouldn't happen to be the owner of User:Julius d.Aracon as well, would you? Regardless, removing reliably sourced content from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary or on the talk page almost always results in being reverted. I suggest you explain what's wrong with the content on the article's talk page. ––FormalDude talk 03:35, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you so much for your quick response. It's okay. Don't worry (you can contact me via this sole account, which have been using for 14 years now). Perhaps, it's about time. Chutinonp (talk) 03:47, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

Sorry, but...

You've more than likely noticed I nominated your essay for deletion. Please don't be offended. Nothing personal. I just don't believe that essay would serve a useful function on the site, especially not considering its tone. Hope you understand. Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 20:34, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

Seems kind of personal considering you started it off by accusing me of conduct violations. ––FormalDude talk 21:58, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
(talk page watcher) @Homeostasis07: You say that FormalDude "used the content of this essay to cast aspersions about another user" — please provide evidence of this or strike the comment, as you are casting aspersions. You should not be using MfD to raise concerns about an editor, and I recommend you take this to WP:ANI if you feel there is a problem. -- TNT (talk • she/her) 22:05, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
The concerns I raised about the tone, content and merit of the essay have indeed been raised at the appropriate venue, in addition to supporting links and evidence as to why I believe the essay was abruptly moved to mainspace. Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 22:14, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
@Homeostasis07: I was specifically asking about the concerns you raised about the editor. Provide evidence for your accusations of aspersions, or retract them. -- TNT (talk • she/her) 22:20, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
Ah, is this some sort of vendetta per Formal taking you to ANI? -- TNT (talk • she/her) 22:25, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
Absolutely not, as explained in the opening above. I am horrified and offended by the insinuation, and suggest you strike or remove it immediately. Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 22:26, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
Well I certainly didn't want to offend you 🙂 the difference here is I asked you a question (not made an accusation) based on qualifiable evidence, whereas you've made baseless claims and continued to cast aspersions despite an administrator telling you not to. I'm not keen on taking people to ANI, especially over something you can resolve by either providing evidence or removing your aspersion. I won't ask again. -- TNT (talk • she/her) 22:31, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

Super teeny tiny edit

Hi FormalDude,

Regardless of the outcome on the RFK Jr. page, I appreciate your thoroughness, it made me curious and I went to go check out your page. I noticed you have a COI notification on your page (which states that you have never been paid for editing etc.). That is neat, I was not aware that such a "notification" existed, but upon stumbling on that page, I noticed the very slightest edit that I'd suggest you make (since it is not for me to edit someone else's page). I am a bit of an OCD nut on hyphens. If you note my edit history, I hunt down hyphens that really should be en dashes, and I fix them. Not a big deal, sure, but it is still correct to use an en dash when referring to a date range over a hyphen. You noted you worked for SoFi from "2019-2020", I'd suggest the slightest of slight changes (my specialty) to "I was employed by SoFi from 2019–2020." See the "en dash" there (– vs -). Thank you. And if you choose not to change this, no hard feelings either way. Th78blue (talk) 21:05, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

@Th78blue:  Fixed. And you are welcome to edit my userpage and its subpages for minor corrections like that anytime. ––FormalDude talk 21:12, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you. I ask because I know that some people would have a conniption if I were to do that without asking, and it is their right to do so, so I always ask. Th78blue (talk) 21:14, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
@Th78blue: Just FYI, often you can see what an editor's preference for having others edit their userpage is by clicking edit so that the edit notice appears. My edit notice states "You're editing the userpage of FormalDude. Please make your edits friendly." which I hope is clear that I allow edits to my userpage. ––FormalDude talk 21:18, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Yes, I do not believe that everyone leaves such messages atop their talk pages, but I could be mistaken. Thank you. Th78blue (talk) 21:20, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
And regardless, to your point, yours is quite clear at least. Thanks again. Th78blue (talk) 21:20, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Kick me

Hello FormalDude, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Kick me, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: It really doesn't fit A7, I was already watching and debating, but CSD doesn't fit here. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Dennis Brown - 01:37, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Kick me

While you were tagging it, I was already pouring over the CSD criteria, and it really doesn't fit any of them. I'm known to push the limits of CSD but you really can't here. I already reported that image as a copyvio to Commons. It does make sense as a redirect, however, so I did that. Dennis Brown - 01:39, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Works for me, thanks! ––FormalDude talk 01:40, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Motorways

Hi. Thanks for this. Just to clarify, a UK motorway like these is a specific term for a Controlled-access highway and the A34 isn't one – just an A-road, though the term "trunk road' sometimes creeps in too. Motorways have an M in the name, usually like M20 or M4 though you sometimes see something like A1(M) where there are some motorway standards and rules on an otherwise A road. Hope this helps! cheers DBaK (talk) 07:11, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Regarding your revert…

Hello, FormalDude. For clarification, those edits I made on the page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Punctuation were extended April Fools' jokes; but I can see why you reverted me. It was, after all, 2 April (on these servers at least).

… or it was a misclick. Who knows. If you reverted me on purpose, though, just wanted to say I have no problem. — 3PPYB6TALKCONTRIBS04:35, 2 April 2022 (UTC)

I thought it was causing a bot to repeatedly add the AfD template to Punctuation, but it looks like someone else fixed it. ––FormalDude talk 04:38, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Sorry for the late reply (Wikipedians still sleep!), but, to make things clear, I'll just leave the page as is with your reverts. It might be, after all, an extension of Awesome Aasim's joke "Punctuation added".
Also, courtesy thanks to @Bsoyka for figuring out that issue with the AfD. 🥲 — 3PPYB6TALKCONTRIBS11:54, 2 April 2022 (UTC)

Edits to suicide prevention page

Hi there! Was just wondering why you reverted my edit to the suicide prevention page about legislation? This is my first time editing on Wikipedia but our team spent a long term working on this section of text to be added, because we believe it to be useful for people to see what countries have dedicated time and money to suicide prevention and what different options here are. What kind of sources would you have me add besides the text to the original legislation?

User box request

Greetings! I've never done this before, but I wanted to ask that you please create a user box for me (and hopefully others) to use. The box would read "This user enjoys reading the Kalevala, Finland's national epic", but if that's too long to look good, then the second clause can be excised. I also thought this image would look nice on the left side. White or light blue as supporting colors makes the most sense to me (maybe to match {{User WikiProject Finland}}). Thanks so very much, and be well! ~ Silence of Järvenpää (talk) 16:59, 1 April 2022 (UTC)

@Silence of Järvenpää: For never doing this before, you made a great request (I appreciate when people give specifics). Here's what I came up with: User:FormalDude/Userboxes/Kalevala
Let me know what you think, and if there's anything you'd like me to change! ––FormalDude talk 04:55, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Hi, FormalDude! It looks great, and I really do appreciate your help on this (as well as speediness). I think the only two changes I might like to see, provided they're not too difficult, is a vertical line that divides image from text (Is such an addition to the border possible?) I also took a stab at the second change, which is making the image a bit larger (since the lines end up so thin at 50x30). I pasted this on the userpage (hope that's okay! I got to 65x45... wanted 70x50, but it sent the text to a third line.) Many, many thanks! ~ Silence of Järvenpää (talk) 15:15, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
@Silence of Järvenpää: I was actually thinking about a vertical line as well, but the only way I can figure to do that is by adding a background color to the id image, but because this image is transparent, that won't work. If you upload an image of the same file with an opaque white background instead of a transparent one, I should be able to get a vertical line on the userbox. ––FormalDude talk 00:30, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Hi, FormalDude! On it, or actually, I have the Graphics Lab people on it. :) Warmly, ~ Silence of Järvenpää (talk) 04:26, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
