Welcome![edit]

Hello, Conley.uc, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

I am posting this message to your talk page to advise you that I have reverted your recent edits to the article on June Newton.

You removed some sentences that were already backed by cited references without any explanation as to why. Before removing cited passages it is good form to possibly gain consensus first before doing so, usually by posting the proposed changes and rationale to the article's talk page.

I also noted that you had added passages seemingly copied word-for-word from a bio that is found on helmut-newton.com. Not only does this copied text lead to clunky reading as it doesn't follow the format and grammatical tense of the existing text in the article, but helmut-newton.com is what we would call a primary source and it is not a reliable source as per Wikipedia's verifiability policy.

In addition, you changed the spelling of "modelling" to "modeling" when in fact both spellings are technically correct, in fact the spelling of the word with two Ls is the way that is it is most commonly spelled by English speakers outside of the US including in Australian English. Given June Newton is a native of Australia, the spelling used in the article reflects Australian English and this is also why dates in this article and in the cited references are formatted as day-month-year that is used by the majority of countries around the world versus the more common month-day-year format found in the US and Canada. For more information on these policies you may wish to visit the following links: WP:COFAQ#ENGLISH and MOS:ENGVAR.

And finally there is also concern as to the fact that the reference you added to this article also strangely refers to the url http://www.rebelsincontrol.com. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not. If it was placed there on purpose in the hopes of generating traffic to this site, that would also contravene Wikipedia's policy on external link spamming.
