PwC tax scandal edits[edit]

Hi Bigboybigtoys,

I'm about to manually revert several of the edits you've made to PwC tax scandal. The major reasons are:

  • Original research: by linking statements to a large number of Hansard and government body websites, which are then synthesised for the first time in this Wikipedia article
  • Poor flow: several of these edits confuse the narrative of the article, or include an unnecessary amount of detail for a relatively minor detail
  • Many of these edits give the appearance of bad faith. This includes: removal of unsourced content that could nevertheless easily be verified by checking previously-linked sources, a large number of insertions of "allegedly" where this degree of qualification is not present in the source, including a large number of qualifications of the Tax Practitioners' Board decisions where this is not a major source of information in the article (and where more accurate information has since come to light)

Given these facts, these edits could constitute vandalism, which is prohibited on Wikipedia. Please refrain from this in future, or your account could be blocked. Thanks. 20WattSphere (talk) 08:19, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Understood and apologies if you see it that way 20WattSphere. I am new to this game but spent a lot of time this week looking at the source documents, many of which seem not to have been reported in the media. That is understandable because the facts in those more recent documents do not support the media narrative. This made me suspect there might be more to the story but wikipedia may not be the place to explore that angle. Thanks for all of your efforts writing about this interesting event. Thanks for the reply. If you can find reliable secondary sources, then you're very welcome to contribute - and I'm certainly not planning to remove everything you've written. Original research is okay for the occasional fact or figure, just not for entire sections. 20WattSphere (talk) 12:08, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
