The article Anukul Maity has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No clear indication of notability. First reference is about his company, not him; second is a deadlink and a primary source anyway, and third is about a car he bought. There is mention of 2 awards, but I can't find any evidence that these are relevant awards; I can't even find any information about the first awarding body online (though perhaps it's not in English). The sources don't discuss him in detail, so WP:GNG isn't met, and I don't see anything else that makes me think the general idea of notability is here.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Marichjhapi incident

You last edit on this page is unwarranted. The links doesn't claim they were hindus alone. The whole article seems to be cooked up except for the article at Telegraph. Try to provide English citations since the readers of English wikipedia can't verify them otherwise. Expects your cooperation. Aravind V R (talk) 10:14, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

To be honest, your edits were unwarranted in the first place. Marichjhapi was a refugee settlement, mostly by those to fled East Pakistan between 1964 and 1971. Do you mean to say there were non-Hindu refugees from East Pakistan? Please come up with citations. BengaliHindu (talk) 10:21, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
A comment from the article u posted in my page. Asit Guin says, "Marichjhapi mob was refugees settled at madhyapradesh. Refugees lost their land as a condition of independence. So, they deserve land-compensation in India. Leftists demanded compensation for them in Bengal. But few accepted compensation at madhyapradesh or Andaman because congress government offered it. Those who got compensation once, they cannot get compensation again at Marichjhapi of Sundarban. So, the whole scandal is an illogical fabrication and LF govt action is logically correct. Your bhuter kirtan on Marichjhapi is your wastage of time. That island was not an unmanned island at all. It was and it is fishermen's pisiculture area and belongs to govt as conserved forest land. Please sir, your anti-communism is your asset. But nobody can get rid of law of cause and effect. Marichjhapi is a lost case. Can TMC govt arrange their re-settlement at Marichjhapi!"
See almost all issues that TMC raise are hoax. Just like the false doctorate its chief got from the fake East Georgia University. There is lot more. But lets not talk politics here. These articles confirms the existence of such allegations. But to claim that some killing indeed took place, you should show some reports of those time or some court cases regarding them or from some international organisations. Not like the emotional narrations like the one from ToI. As long as the govt. claims no one were fired at and there is no evidence against them how can such a propaganda article can be permitted.
Many of your edits here seems to be mere communal bashing which is not at all pleasant. I request you to not use wikipedia as a platform for that. Aravind V R (talk) 10:48, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
You should first appreciate the fact that this is not an 'issue' which has been raised by TMC. The massacre has been referred in scholarly articles like The Marichjhapi Massacre & The End Of The Left by Eric Randolph, Refugee Resettlement in Forest Reserves: West Bengal Policy Reversal and the Marichjhapi Massacre by Ross Mallick, Space, identity, territory: Marichjhapi Massacre, 1979 by Debdatta Chowdhury, Caste, migration and identity by Praskanva Sinharay etc. This massacre forms the background of Amitav Ghosh's much acclaimed novel, The Hungry Tide. Contemporary reports or court cases are not mandatory requirement, if there are sufficient reliable secondary sources. BengaliHindu (talk) 19:05, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
I haven't said there is no such political propaganda. There is. I can google and find enough articles in Indian right wing media and American journals. But how can you convince he readers this is not a work of fiction? If you could produce, say a news report of that time even mentioning such an incident, there would have been some credibility. How can an incident which nobody knew then but surfaced later as a propaganda against the Left can be given some legitimacy? Aravind V R (talk) 05:50, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

List of Bengali Hindu language martyrs

Sir, the article List of Bengali Hindu language martyrs written by you is about the martyrs of Barak Valley only. So, I request you to include the name "Barak Valley" in the title "List of Bengali Hindu language martyrs". This is because Bengali Hindus have also sacrificed their lives in other parts of the Indian subcontinent. The present title will mean the entire subcontinent. Since your article is on Barak valley, I think including its name in the title will be good. Thank you. AkhilKumarPal (talk) 19:15, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Koenraad Elst (serious BLP violations in a BLP article)

There are serious, ongoing and long-term BLP violations in the BLP article Koenraad Elst (see also at the BLP noticeboard).

The BLP article seems to be unstable: Each time someone removes any BLP violations in the article, they are being restored - and an user is again threatening to restore all BLP violations "soon". BLP policy is crucial to be enforced. Because of the very serious NPOV violations in a BLP article, this requires the attention of neutral editors.

The NPOV violations were explained in great detail by the subject of the lemma here:

These links say among other things:

Well, there you have it. The lemma on me has ended up taking this form because some militant among your contributors purposely wanted to “warn readers” against me. Please cite me an instruction for encyclopedists that names “warning” among the legitimate goals of an encyclopedia.
Either you remove the lemma altogether, or you straighten it out and apply the rules of encyclopedia-writing to it. At any rate, in a encyclopedia, I count on being judged for what I myself have said or done, and not for the gossip my declared enemies have come up with.
If Wikipedia wants to live up to its promise of being a reliable encyclopedic source, it will strike this and all sentences resembling it from its article on me. At most, it can use me as an example of how it was fooled by some of its all-too-partisan collaborators. Speaking of whom: the history page accompanying my page proves forever that some Wikipedia collaborators wanted to inflict on me the maximum harm possible, an attitude incompatible with work for an encyclopedia. --Calypsomusic (talk) 12:01, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Pulin Behari Das.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Pulin Behari Das.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 10:07, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

I am not sure if you heard, but meta:Wikimedia Bangladesh got chapter recognition from the Wikimedia Foundation and I expect that yearly from now on they will apply for funding to develop Bangla Wikipedia. I know that you live in India but if you have interest in supporting Bangla, then perhaps you might like to be aware that you have the option to speak up for Bangla Wikipedia with that organization. I wish there could be more of a Wikipedia community in Kolkata. Blue Rasberry (talk) 16:18, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Allegations not proven

Sir, In reference to the Ahmed Hassan Imran page, you are posting purely allegation which are not proved yet. Those allegations were published in Anandabazar Patrika without any solid proofs and are being challenged now including the DIG report of the Canning riots. Yesterday the paper published SIO link with Ahmed Hassan Imran but today they published that Ahmed Hassan Imran has no link with SIO. Similarly allegations were made against his birth place on yesterday's publication. These facts are changing day by day and are mere allegations. Those allegations are being backtracked now. Hence in this regard your are requested not to post anything which is not proven in Courts since posting of such unproven libelous news information against an elected Rajya Sabha MP in public domain falls under Cyber crime. If you are not the rightful authority then we would like to request you to forward us to the Wikipedia's actual authority. Thank you.10:24, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

Who are the people you mentioned as "we"? BengaliHindu (talk) 10:27, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

We are the readers of Kalom newspaper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MehulWB (talkcontribs) 10:35, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

You should not vandalize Wikipedia. All mentioned information were quoted from reliable secondary sources and even mentioned as "according to so and so..." which is legitimate as per Wikipedia policies and doesn't fall under any cyber crime. BengaliHindu (talk) 10:58, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

I apologies if I made any mistakes but defamatory news stories about a living person is not reliable unless proven by Indian laws. Ahmed Hassan Imran himself denies the allegations against him (please refer to the Hindu newspaper) so, I request you to wait until further reports come out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MehulWB (talkcontribs) 11:06, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

You are mistaken. Wikipedia article is not a news story. A Wikipedia article can only mention information that have already been published in reliable secondary sources. Was there any sentence (among that you deleted) that was not published in a newspaper? In fact the phrasing was like "according to intelligence reports..". Not a single sentence claimed the information to be correct. They only mentioned that such and such reports mention so and so. This is perfectly OK in Wikipedia NPOV terms. Moreover, that fact that Imran himself denied the allegations was also mentioned. There is no Indian law or Wikipedia policy which states that an article can't be edited until something is proven in a court of law. On the contrary what you are doing is against Wikipedia policies. BengaliHindu (talk) 11:19, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

This doesn't mean you can post/spread libelous information on an open access encyclopedia damaging the reputation of a Rajya Sabha MP even when it is subject to court's verdict. Which source you are referring to as reliable? Anandabazar didn't provide any proofs. They only published the news of allegations made by other politicians. News are being made each hours so unless it is proved as per our existing laws you cannot spread any information which may be harmful to a living person. However, you can do so after the allegations are found to be correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MehulWB (talkcontribs) 12:52, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

(1) You have accused me of libel twice. This is nothing but personal attack. Do not violate Wikipedia etiquette. (2) Anandabazar Patrika is a reliable secondary source. When it says that it is quoting from a report of Ministry of External Affairs, you have to accept the fact that Anandabazar has such a report with them. You may or may not agree with the content of the report, but you have no reason to disagree that Anandabazar has such a report. (3) The content of the report may or may not be true. I don't know who who will adjudicate whether the content of the report is true or not. Maybe the court will do it. But unless that is done, there is no law which can stop anyone from mentioning that "According to a report of the Ministry of External Affairs, Imran did this or that" and providing the reference of Anandabazar. Making such statement doesn't require any proof under Indian law or Wikipedia policies. Hope this explanation helps. BengaliHindu (talk) 13:07, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

Please, do not get me wrong. I have no intention to accuse you of anything unless you do any such. Anandabazar has a report but Wikipedia is not a newspaper that you will post the same report. I am pointing to the unproven allegation you are posting which may damage the reputation of an elected MP. You cannot post based on an unverified report of a newspaper. Its newspaper's duty to report news but Wikipedia provides accurate information. So, an encyclopedia cannot make such allegation which my harm a living person even while this case is not resolved. If you are posting the report as Anandabazar did then you have to take its responsibility too. The report is no way reliable to be posted on Wikipedia. That is why I requested you to wait until further reports come out. Are you getting my point sir?

I only say this because the creation of the account Nirmalya1234, their only two edits, and the timing of those edits, is quite suspicious. — MusikAnimal talk 22:56, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
