Why the name "WxBot"? "Wx" is an abbreviation for "weather".

WxBot is run by Inks.LWC (talk · contribs), and is designed to perform tasks for WikiProject Meteorology and its descendants (WikiProject Non-tropical storms, WikiProject Severe weather, and WikiProject Tropical cyclones).

Currently, approved tasks for the bot include link replacement and template replacement; however, additional tasks can be requested. Click here to make a request for the bot to perform a task. If the task you would like the bot to perform is not link or template replacement, please keep in mind that it will take a few days to get approval for the new task (but that will be a one time thing for that entire type of task); in no way should this discourage you from requesting tasks that have not yet been approved—I just want you to be aware that it may take a bit of time.
