From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My edits are often about Juventus, my former favourite team. However, I have many other passions like physics, mathematics, informatics, science, linguistics, history, geography, art, literature, Latin (whence my nickname) and so on. My interests are too unusual and difficult for most people I meet everyday and who do not appreciate what I can do, which is why I suffer social isolation and I have Asperger syndrome.

I registred on Wikipedia on 14 April 2020, however, I made my first edit on en.wiki only on the 20th. I did not like very much the Italian version of Wikipedia and I found en.wiki aesthetically better, although I had little knowledge of English and I used to commit obscene grammatical mistakes (I still make some nowadays, but much fewer than before). I decided that I would be editing en.wiki to get my English better. I started editing Wikipedia seriously in January 2021 on Juventus-related pages. As I edited more and more the encyclopedia, I improved my English a lot and I started reading without any translator. I can't explain how I managed to go from being an ignorant to a skilled English speaker in few months just by editing Wikipedia. Furthermore, I have started reading some books in Early Modern English because of my love for old-fashioned language and poetry.

However, my English speaking abilities are not perfect: my understanding of oral English is quite lacking, therefore I can't understand most English-language songs and films, however I can understand YouTube videos without excessive efforts.

I abhor slang words like wanna, gotta, ain't, etc, while when it's necessary I use archaic pronun ye to distinguish from singular you.
