Yeshiva Tiferes Yisroel, or YTY, is an English-speaking Litvish Haredi yeshiva in Jerusalem, Israel. Founded in 2005. It caters to post-high school students from all across the United States.

History[edit]

The yeshiva was founded under the auspices of HaRav Meir Belsky one of the foremost talmidim of HaRav Yitzchok Hutner Ztzl. Beginning in 2005 with a kollel for outstanding English speaking students, the yeshiva program was instituted in 2010. Most of the kollel members are former students of the Yeshiva. The yeshiva is named for ר' ישראל בן נחמן הלוי ז, R' Yisroel Deblinger zl, a noble Jew, who after surviving the Holocaust and spent his life dedicated to true Torah values.

Originally located in the Geulah neighborhood, the yeshiva is currently located in Bucharim, near Beis Yisroel on Rav Yosef Karo St.

Curriculum[edit]

The Yeshiva has a comprehensive program covering all aspects of Torah study. High and medium level Gemara shiurim, in depth halacha shiurim from various halachic authorities, shiurim in hashkafa and Tefilla from the Roshei Yeshiva, and much more.
